By this July's 2.9.6 .57650 update patch with Kola winter textures, size of Kola map increased to 166 Gigabytes.

When the texture doesn't contain (isn't needed in DCS) transparent alpha-channel , Do mouse right button click on layers and choose "Flatten Image" before exporting. When the texture needs transparent alpha-channel, choose "Merge Visible Layers". How the results are for you ?

In satellite photos shot on 17/Mar./2023, 27/Oct./2021, 2/Feb./2017, 16/Aug./2015, 17/Jun./2013 , each slots 41 - 48 (containing 45,47) have one more white dashed lines showing 30 m X 30 m limit, not drawn on DCS terrain module though. To request more historical detail to UM, adding those white dashed lines there, instead.

Hi. In comparing satellite photos by Google Earth / Google Maps, North-west area (slots 11-16, 18-19, 21-28) may allow 20 m X 20 m size helicopters in historical. UH-60 and AH-1 (RJAF's units in KA-II) are inside it. Not for Mi-8 or Mi-24 IRL maybe. South-east 45 and 47 may allow 30 m X 30 m size as same as slots 41-44. Those two slots should be made wider and available for Mi-8 / -24 as you say.

An abandoned old taxiway ? paved space connected to the center of RW 17/35 is not a current live taxiway. No taxi guide lines painted, No night lighting. But AI aircrafts pass here with some wind direction before taking-off from RW 16. Please rework AI taxi routes not to pass here. In another talk, using RW 16 for takeoff is troublesome. It needs long backtrack with the turning pad. Long minutes waiting for the next aircraft want to takeoff. In the case of other runways are destroyed, RW 16 will become to be used for takeoff though, I think this direction is not usually used for takeoff.

Hi. Nowadays I try to use Inkscape for vector editing as preparing SVG materials will be pasted in GIMP. Inkscape is an alternative to Adobe Illustrator. I felt that GIMP's path editing function is poor and uncomfortable. Collaborating with Inkscape brings me good results in preparing insignias / flags / geometric patterns or tweaking fonts' styles.

I'm working to add more liveries for ERJ-145 and ERJ-135BJ. ERJ-145's European airlines addition --- ERJ-135's liveries as private / charter or company owned. ERJ-145s will be published after 2 or 3 more airlines will be drawn. ERJ-135BJ needs longer time with 6 or 10 more skins I want to try.

Too old version WinRAR fails to extract newer (current) .rar format archives. Isn't it ?

My setting is Textures = High. Whole options setup screen --- and another problem wind shield and canopy are black out seen from outside (TAT0R said on 3/16/2024) is not changed.

Thanks for the update and its information here. Front shield glass issue is solved. Other glasses in front of analog needle instruments and mirrors are still ... ...

My current 2.9.3 client is also the same. Impossible to operate in the cockpit.
