So playing back through RODF, after finishing Raven one (again?!), and all seemed ok, in M01, till i got to the stack and realized my ils wasnt working, i was also unable to turn it off & turn it back on again (insert meme ), so this may have effected my approach a little, but according to the CRS bar i seemed pretty straight, and found the carrier ok?! Marshal gave me heading on commencement of approach, then went radio silent. Was waiting for the wave off but i ended up trapping, as i figured the mission wouldnt progress without trigger anyway I assume the needles is a DCS bug, but shouldnt the WO happen via trigger behind ship?

Yeh, i didnt do thorough testing, i never liked the implementation of burble, so i turned wake turbulance off at the start, but then noticed the burble had come back with one of the latest updates (even though i had it off), hence why i didnt think wake turbulance cancelled it anymore. my bad, probably jumped the gun with that comment -

So after sting flight break for IP shortly after i get Mission failed. First attempt i was gonna run a E-W 20nm cap (10 each side of WP2), and got failed. then next attempt i flew RH orbit directly above WP2 with ATTH & BALT, and got failed again. Im running on MT, and have no mods installed. Am i missing something? should i be doing left orbits instead?

Im not sure disabling wake turbulance disables the burble anymore!! doesnt seem to on my end. Been using it a bit lately (now it actually engages) an i have had some luck throttling on just before touch down, just a little blip, once your passing over the bow, but is kinda sketchy, too much though and u can bolt. You also wanna be under 33000 pounds too (use chklist) -
Typical!! I downloaded tacview, installed it, got ready to capture, almost as soon as i popped the sub, the bandits came right for me, stepping out of SA6 range lol .. i will say, based off your test i did succeed in standard mode (vs MT), so may wanna test that at some point. i was in MT today, but i cant be sure the first time, as MT was conflicting with "rumble with grumble" before the recent update, so may have been in Standard. No mods. Not sure if i have tacview installed, i'll try get it before my next attempt. Cheers

I dunno, ive just flown the mission twice going straight for bandar (basically centre of SA6, WP8), both times they sit at angels 1, and keep dropping off radar, but can see them on Datalink. even tried ducking into sam range and trying to fire on them and going defensive but they never go above 1000ft or leave bandaar. Also strike doesnt give you bulls for the second pair(my pair), he mentions the pair down the coast, then says "out of bandar" for mine, unless of course i missed it... twice lol

This as bothered me ever since the "Autopilot disconnect" master caution was implemented, not sure why its taken me so long to report, but here we are!! Basically if your using CPL or Attitude Hold (maybe others too, these are the two in the track), and you manually disconnect on the ufc, the AP actually stays ON even though theres no dots, and you can feel the plane fighting your inputs, as though its on AP, so you have to quickly yank the elevator in order for the autopilot to disconnect, you get the warning, then your controls are free and clear. Unless theres been a step added im unaware of, this doesnt seem right?? autopilot error.trk

Im having similar issues with this mission, @baltic_dragon is the first JSOW supposed to miss (as per scripting?), my second hit ok (PP mode), but whenever Nicky is up, he just goes AWOL. Last night i used him last and he vanished, and never took a shot, then tonight i got him to go first and again he just flew off into the distance. -

Glad you sorted yours, but, i dont even know what VIACOM is, let alone have it installed, and i still had issues. Ever since they started talking bout Dynamic campaign the AI has been doing weird stuff... prob a bit of both -

Ahh, Righto, that was sort of my approach, but by the time the 9's get a tone, theyve launched fox3s at me.... as mentioned.. i suck at AA lol im sure i'll get it, thanks for the tips -
Not sure if this is by design or not, as he tells me to "get the second one", but when we get intercepted by flankers, i use my 1 fox3 to hit one of the bandits but my wingman never seems to attack, and i keep getting shot down by the second as i notch or before i can get a Fox2 on him (i suck at AA, dont hate lol). Shouldnt he fire on them?

Just retried and went through ok!! On the first run, he said trucks and warehouse hit, but on the successful run he said the same, then few seconds later said a second warehouse was hit, so for what ever reason mustn't of got hit that first hop, i thought i was just meant to hit trucks, no warehouses, anyway got it done.... SOOO glad i didnt bolter lol

Nah no mods, its the standard version, (with supercarrier and tanking) will give it another shot, and let you know. Will see if i can workout Tacview

As the title suggests, i hit the targets, and moonbeam said good hits on the trucks and warehouse, and they exploded, then as i was exiting towards WP6, i got the mission failed banner, saying i didnt hit the targets. Should my wingman hit his targets automatically, or do i need to tell him to?

im still learning this myself, but i think what you need to do is once the tgp slews on the target, make it soi and set either area or point track SHOULD hold it in place. a dashed box means its free to move, so not a designated target yet.... that being said i just had a weird bug in raven one, where my target was moving all over HSI depending on my heading, so who knows?! -
All good man, ive done the mission a bunch of times, its just my OCD trying to get 100 on all missions atm!! Cant help but wonder if the background work on the dynamic campaign is creating all this weird AI behaviors atm?? the AI hasnt been following triggers properly since before RODF!

ACM mode? is that for A/A? as i was mostly referring to air to ground, or does it work for both? i did try Tholodors suggestion which does work, although i find it quite difficult to accurately designate, tend to jump around a bit, so would 8 seconds up make the targeting more accurate u think? -

ohh right, guess i should of paid more attention, i guess i was just looking for the Dot in the hud, and didnt move off bore before designating. Cheers man -
So i hadnt realized the hornet had hmd targeting, and been looking up on it, but is it possible to "Tag" things straight from the helmet, as the content i've seen he makes HUD Soi, designates then undesignates to get the stripey circle thing in the helmet then can redesignate with the helmet, just wondering if there is a way to jump straight to the helmets stripey reticle thingo (yes that is the technical term i think!), or must you always hud designate, undesignate, redesignate? If you cant, implementing a Sensor control switch up LONG would be a nice touch from devs
