So i just tried this mission again on the latest patch, and while he breaks away now, he flys directly to the tanker and rejoins (even though he just tanked), instead of flying east and doing the exercise. tbh i didnt wana hang around and wait to see if he does the exercise after as i had already been holding for a while, so i quit.
  2. i done a run in before she had a chance to form up on me then she done both her runs as planned, allowed me to do the mission at least
  3. @baltic_dragon this is still an issue in the "missing man" mission. just replayed then. i spoke with badger about "going for the chop" and he said his was a design element in his campaign. but the TACAN in missing man, moves once you set a CRS bar. then when landing it says its miles away even though im flying round the boat. in the kneeboards first page, it has 2 carriers there, but only 1 has tacan/ils etc, so not sure if thats from a previous version or not? but just thought i'd report that its still broken
  4. set up a flare profile, something like 2x10@1.75, start dropping them before the bottom of the dive, preemptively, which in reality is what would probably happen irl. also you wanna cut your throttles (less heat for the heat seeker), you should have fair momentum diving from 13-15k ft to get up the other side. hes also over on the side of the town where you gbu'd the munition dump, so do the SOF on the other side and turn in (so your engines are away from him)... hope that helps oops just checked the date and the fact you finished it. info is still good generally for manpads though
  5. Im getting this same issue in mission 7, she drops the smoke then just goes trail and keeps forming up on me. I did make a run in and she said in, but never dropped. she didnt do it again though and had to quit the mission. This is on the latest (january) open beta update

Not sure of my speed exactly but i made the corner quite easily, at typical taxi speed, but the last thing i heard was paco saying it was an airforce base, and were not. i havent had a chance to try again, wasnt my best landing, as i think i had 1600 pounds on the break, so thats probably why... when you said in the promos that theres nothing else like this in DCS you werent kidding, this is mission 1 ffs
  7. Well he told me to break halfway down the runway, so i did, i will admit wasnt the best onspeed landing, was more of a flare, but all the above dialogue played before i touched down though, nvm, will try again later, cheers

Just got through M01, done the break, paco was still explaining the downwind as i turned final, i landed and got no more talking, mission didnt score. i DID turn off the midway exit as i had stopped in time, so not sure if the next triggers at end of runway? once i got to parking, i ended up taxiing back to the very end runway to try get trigger but nothing happened (didnt go full length of runway, just piano keys)

  11. Yeh i just skipped it, looks like the patch might fix it, as he's on the Closed beta
  12. i think he mentioned earlier he done some weird stuff with the radios in this campaign, hence why theyre not working, so a standalone test in DCS should still work, its a campaign thing.
  13. also ona sidenote, i find in all sims i play (msfs & dcs) i get better performance with hyperthreading disabled as they load onto 1 or 2 cores, with very computational code, so you want beefy cores, not lots of cut down ones, but your milage may vary depending on what you use your pc for
  14. i use the BIOS directly.. stock clocks and even turbo should be fine, but have you changed your voltage controls at all? like if you have adaptive/offset volts to something like -0.03v could be causing your issue. As mentioned, just 100mhz extra and no extra power was enough to cause me issues... try auto volts see if it stops crashing
  15. ok, so i did find a solution to my issue, that may help you, as you mentioned "undervolting". After another crash i realized that last night i bumped my OC on my CPU from 5.7 @1.27v to 5.8 @1.27v, and while the PC has been working fine, ive started with these CTD, even though the pc is still running ok after. Now if i do same clocks on adaptive volts it goes to 1.35v, so essentially im Overclocked and undervolted, so if you still have a undervolt active you could try adding more juice, or dropping your clocks (if its even possible to OC a laptop?) i just done 2 heavy campaign missions no crash and was crashing every attempt before
  16. ive just got 2 CTD in a row, which is weird, as my systems only few weeks old (13700k,32gb ddr5, 3090), full clean install, and been flawless so far, and theres not been an update since dec... yet 2 ctd today?!
  17. Ive usually been able to find JTACs as they release flares too. see my above comment for how to handle takeoff/landing
  18. Just tried again, and he cut away this time but instead of flying east he just wandered south into no mans land, so mission seems pretty borked atm. Think baltic was planning an overhaul of this campaign soon, so hopefully gets fixed there

Just playing back through this campaign and on M02, we both topped off, headed to WP4, contacted overlord, flip tells smoke to take a breakaway, but he just stays on my wing done a full circle but he was still there. Im pretty sure hes meant to go 50nm SE or something, and i have to find him with radar, before searching for a bogey. Anyone else have this issue?

First up, when putting the ABEs tacan (72X) it only gives me azimuth, no range or timing etc, so there maybe an issue there (maybe entered as Y instead of X, or i read X instead of Y, if so my bad haha), but as im heading to the target area, it says the SA6's are disabled from our attack, but they are very much alive and firing at me (i was outside their rings on the SA page too?!), or is this meant to be correct? lastly it says how many large boats are in the harbour, and i thought i seen 4, but theres only option for 1,2,3,none, unless of course the boats i seen arent considered large?
  22. Currently trying to work back through M13, but i keep getting shot down by 2 SA6's (both active), but according to the Brief, theres meant to be SEAD. This is after getting the first 2 mig and the high heat, so plenty of time to launch their harms, Is this a Bug? (no mods, except the A4, and a couple asset packs that shouldn't effect this)

Ive just been tuning the tower still, and as soon as you roll forward he tells you the active, and as soon as you go on the RW he clears you so not too bad, then on return, i just tell wingman to anchor a "APP" waypoint while i land, and when on final i tell him to rtb, and by the time i park and shutdown hes on the deck, so not too bad. the JTAC though, thats a bit harder (they often drop flares, just kill everything!)
  24. You can turn off the Tacan before engaging CPL and it doesnt go into HDG. Not ideal but at least a workaround
