The most important part of a VR sim seat rig is the placement of the stick, throttles and pedals. ...and a comfy seat. Looks like you guys are doing an awesome father/son job!
It's a pain when the virtual pilots arm is in the way of a switch/panel and you cant move it to see past...
Blows the immersion for me.
I'm ok with virtual pilot bodies as long as it is an option.
^ My thinking too. It is sometimes annoying having the cable dangle, but look at how much a real fighter pilot has. So much easier to just pretend. :pilotfly:
I always start VR first (Rift CV1) and make sure that sensing is correct. Then start DCS. Start VR first.
With the helicopters you can really forget about the throttle. Just map the collective to your throttle. For added realism I have it reversed ie pulling the throttle ADDs collective.
Re the warthog bindings, I think most controls should be bound. I still have to go through and check (especially flight controls) that there are not duplicate bindings for the flight controls.
