  1. On the other hand, it would force game coders to start programming and optimizing their games more efficiently Because this would be an admit to defeat to increase the performance of hardware for fidelity
  2. It's the Firmware that so far kept me from getting the Moza, and since WW didn't change their firmware when they did have a TM/VPC adapter, I doubt they will now
  3. But not compatible with TM/Virpil grips
  4. That's what I was waiting for, now if only Virpil comes with news (but they are probably too busy with their yoke to get some FFB goodness out this year)
  5. 600W cable, GPU's pulling 630 watts consistently,... what could possibly go wrong?
  6. For hardware that has a detent at 80%, yes Personally, I'm glad I have 1:1 translation, saves me a lot of reconfiguring curves for other modules It just strikes me as odd the AB value in control indicator for the F-14 does not translate 1:1 It would be more clear for setup if the AB lines correspond to where AB actually begins, that the physical axis needs to be virtually reconfigured where 80/20 physical, becomes 50/50 virtual
  7. Yes, but not as an encoder One might need to change the settings of the button with the help of the "turbo" option, but I never delved that deep, so cannot claim this to be a workable method
  8. I had these same ones the first time, apparently, they are not compatible with Bodnar boards, only with Arduino @ITR1102 To add, though i could be mistaken: it seems any basic encoder without PCB should work for Bodnars
  9. True, but that is 'beside' the point (pun intended ), visually and IRL, the AB seems to begin halfway the cockpit throttle, and not the last 5th of the throw
  10. Checking the settings in "Show controls" Afterburner 'start' at 80% But looking at the cockpit throttle position, and taking the audible (and external) visual cue from the engines it appears AB ignites at roughly 50% And if I go by the manual and projecting that to the cockpit, Mil-power is indeed at 50% and beyond should venture into the AB range So, what's the deal? Is the "Show Controls" indicator in error, or am I missing some details concerning throttle positions
  11. I don't thinks those buying such a thing will indeed do lots of rebuilding, but it does allow for swapping at least some components, which are useless in one module, for ones that are better suited I rather see solid connections, quick releases get flimsy over time Well, my prototype would approach €300, which isn't "cheap" and puts it in line with Virpil control panels pricewise, but does offer: 1 axis, 4 dual encoders, 2 Ten position rotaries, 6 pushbuttons, 6 toggles That's 61 functions (Which would be +20 functions, -1 axis over the VPC CP#1) + customizability/flexibility in what can certainly be stated, an innovative design Which allows for even the lesser technical among us to get something catering to their personal wishes I can rant about simple basic button boxes being expensive for what they offer. but for Switchology, (especially) that last part certainly doesn't make it simple and the number of functions doesn't make it basic, If there is merit in the design, there is value
  12. Yeah, I found his concept a while ago, but he disappeared off radar for a little while Wolkus, the creator, is a member here Still looking at it, since I truly love the concept and still have(/can make ) some real estate in my 'pit' and thinking about making a dedicated comms panel with this @wolkus it would be handy if possible, to see a "module puzzle" on you site, so people can move and turn modules and fit them in the base prior to deciding on a layout Something I quickly photoshopped myself:
  13. The idea is still the same, just more expensive This is how I've been 'planning' a new build every time (Though truth be told, GPU's I now buy as a 'mid-term' upgrade in a system's life because of their price): Look at pricing per part for what I'm willing to spend maximum on them Set the budget for what is currently my preferred parts Start saving And by the time I got the money together, see what is now available at that price
  14. What timespan are we talking about, because we are in chinese new year, so I wouldn't be surprised if things aren't handled as quickly Do you have confirmation WW has received the return goods?
  15. But frame gen won't make low performance systems better It's already been stated, that you need reasonable quality to have an 'improvement' You can't polish a turd with MFG, you'll just get 3 AI added turds But you're not getting 120 FPS with Frame gen, you're getting 50% AI mutated copies of the actual FPS And may I remind you that DLSS isn't supersampling but DOWNsampling? so that 5100x2100 won't even be the real possible resolution So you're basically gimping your bragging rights, you bought a Pro monitor that isn't running at it's max res, and a pro card that isn't giving you even actual FPS "Yeah I'm running at 5100x2100 actually 3150x 1570 and 120 FPS actually 50"
  16. instead of a real woman, you'd rather watch an OF vid? Instead of putting in tech that increased the actual performance, so you aren't running RT titles at 15 fps, they sacrificed that real estate on the card for their new toy and conning you into believing the card performs better
  17. I don't think so I think it's like the Super Taurus/Orion(2), the PTO2 must have been developed with the cost and sales of the original panels in mind Cheaper to produce and 'all the functions' people bought either one or the other PTO for (Though I still question the decision why there are zero axes on the PTO2, but this may have to do with the type of controller they decided on)
  18. Looking at what's on the tin, these being RTX cards, one would expect the 5th generation top of the line of these cards to handle at least that part of their name Frame generation isn't what's needed Instead of throwing AI chips on that card to create "3 extra best guess screenshots", they should have upped the RT performance at the very least, so that they are actually capable doing what's the hell they're designated as
  19. ??? For all I know, with the powerlevers on fly, you should actually turn the APU off, so taking of with the APU off doesn't sound like a bug
  20. Why would someone want frame generation?
  21. Racing seats are great to remain in position, awkward to bad if you need to move around, fine in racing, counterproductive in dogfights When I got my Playseat, I was looking for a decent (affordable) seat that was as straight as possible, because my previous bucket seat gave me quit some problems checking 6 in VR, where I had to lift myself out of the seat on one butt cheek and 'curl' around the bolsters (no the playseat isn't the shallowest available, but at the price it was, and a HFS8 seat diminished the bowl even more)
  22. It's not made up What chapter of "Pay first / receive later" did you skip in Life's lessons 101?
  23. I would think that, regardless my personal views, the 5080 is a step up from the 4080 super, which was already trading equal blows with the XTX7900 With the 5080, you're getting GDDR7, +/- 50% faster than GDDR6X, which was +/- 25% faster than GDDR6 The 4080 super 16gb GDDR6X/256 bus was already not a problem vs the XTX normal 24gb GDDR6/384 bus in performance
  24. I see the Turtle Beach at €285 That money gets you Winwing pedals, save a few € extra and you can get the damper with that
