  1. I thank you for your input and your knowledge, but some of your replies to others and now myself leave much to be desired. You assume too much and your reply to me is borderline disrespectful, laced with conceit and high mindedness. I am not a computer jock and knowing new models, 3D meshes and skins, the fact is, I haven't been here long enough to see these things first hand, as Rudel pointed out with the Black Shark and A-10, I didn't even know DCS existed until about a year and a half ago. You would do yourself well and the others here by not assuming, showing a bit more respect and humility. I standby my statement, ED should have disclosed this fact while pushing their video's and news letters instead of as you say, "It should have been obvious." If they did disclose this, I will be the first to apologize but if they didn't, perhaps the Dev's are assuming too much from their customers knowledge base and more consumed with pushing products that after have been purchased and installed; "Well...We forgot to mention that little fact, we will fix it when we have time." As for now, I have relented from wanting a refund, I learned something today..."Buyer Beware." Hopefully you have leaned something to today about how to interact with others. "Tell us the whole story Dev's, quit selling us un-ripened fruit that you happily show as ripe and after we have paid for and taken a bite,"....."Oh ya... I assumed it should have been obvious to you Mr. customer, it's not completely ready." I hope the Dev's will take note and knock off this kind of BS. At least with the early access, we as the customer know we are getting a "Work in progress." As for this F5-E, no such word was given and for $10...It's the principle and business practice that counts. Out!
  2. Thank you for your reply as I'm still kind of new here.
  3. Yea, that's one way to skin that cat. I use OVGME and when it comes time to do an update, clean install, etc... I just disable them with the OVGME program. Perhaps it's a few more steps, but it works for me. Thanks for the tip.
  4. I hate to be the one to spot out something odd in the room, however... Question, did the Dev's know this skin thing was going to be an issue before it went live? ( Me thinks they did ) I maybe wrong here but I haven't seen one post from them about the skins being an issue with this new rendition of the F-5 Tiger II before it went on sale. Hopefully someone can point me to one of their posts saying something to the fact of, "Hey we got this new $10 upgrade for the Tiger II, however, all the skins y'all have, either by creating them or downloading them from others...Ahhh, they ain't gonna work anymore. I hope I'm not speculating here, please correct me if I am, however; if this issue was not disclosed before it went live, I want a refund. Thank you,
  5. The place to put them is: Local Drive/Users/Your Name/Saved Games/DCS/Mods/aircraft/CJS Super Hornet Mod v2.4/Liveries/...And in this Livery Folder, you should have 3 models of the F-18, the E, F and G model. Drop the proper downloaded livery into the proper plane model folder. See the example: Hope this helps.
  6. You can find a few Liveries here ===> DCS Superbug Skins
  7. Very cool and seems to work pretty smoothly, one has got to use a little sense on a busy flight deck or they may follow the Director into a static object. It's a bit of a challenge to see the deck crew in the rain, especially if it rains and its dark out. F2 view is my friend.

  8. The bird does look cleaner on the inside, sounds great and the canopy glass looks brand new. Sucks about the skins though as I have so many of them. However, I really do appreciate all of those folks who made the custom skins, knowing that stuff take a long time to perfect. I hope you custom skin designers don't get discouraged and will continue to make those awesome skins. Thank you,
  9. The new Fog is really awesome. I set it with a mission date in April, broken clouds up top, 15 minutes before sunrise and had the fog disappear 30 minutes after sunrise. Set it to 1500 ft thickness with a visibility of 5000 feet. Ramat David Airbase has not looked any better. Thanks ED, About the rest of the Afganny map. Hmm...?
  10. Please populate the rest of the map that has undeveloped area’s. Thanks,
  11. Would be sweet to add Ukraine and populate the rest of the map.
  12. I for one would like to see the Dev’s show a little love to this map by extending the sweet graphics to the Grand Canyon and also south at Fort Irwin, which is just North of Barstow, CA. Also, add Edwards’s Air Force Base to the map please.
  13. Wow… That’s awesome. I’ve been keeping up with the progress and I’m totally impressed. Keep up the good work.
  14. Just had the same thing happen to me, could not load up any planes in Mission Editor. Using OVGME, started removing mods from the saved games DCS folder one at a time and found an asset mod causing the issue. Removed the mod and we're back cooking with JP fuel.
  15. Fellow pilots, For a while, I was getting CPU spikes in game, some of them bad causing FPS to hit the single digits. My old mobo and bulldozer processor has done very well, paired with a GTX 1080, at just about everything I throw at it, however; DCS was more than it could handle so I bit the bullet and decided to build a new rig. Asrock x870 Pro RS mobo. Ryzen 5 7600 cpu. 6600Mhz DDR5 32g ram. Gen4 NVME at 4TB. Windows 11 and for now, my GTX 1080 graphics card. What a huge improvement. No more CPU bound spikes with graphic settings on high in most cases, getting smooth 50-60 fps. I hope this helps. Update: I removed my 1080 and replaced it with a Gigabyte 4080 Super. Maxed out the graphics, with FPS limit at 80 on a 1440 monitor. I can fly at 80fps and when things get harry, fps will briefly drop to the 60-70’s. Way better and more fun. The maps look so much better, in fact, all things look so much better.
  16. Wow, just wow. I wish I had a real one and a pilots license. I would make a video flying this bird myself and recite this poem: by John Gillespie Magee “Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth Of sun-split clouds, - and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there, I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung My eager craft through footless halls of air... Up, up the long, delirious burning blue I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace Where never lark, or ever eagle flew - And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod The high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.”
  17. Working from home today, In a bit, looking forward to jumping into this Eagle and soaring through skies of the Siria map. Thank you,
  18. Oh I can imagine, I’ve loaded those beasts on an F-16 and when I let one go, the plane banks hard on the opposite wing. Looking forward to flying your plane.
  19. Looks really good. Thank you.
  20. I would, but my computer is old and the video/track would have frames in the lower digits.
  21. This is what I did, I took 3 B-52’s in a trail formation about 1/2 mile spacing, 5,000 feet altitude, loaded up only the bays with 2,000 iron bombs, set each one to carpet bomb with short spacing of the bombs, set the target impact at the base of the hotel and let em rip. You will enjoy watching the bombs impact from the bottom of the structure all the way to the top. Have fun,
  22. Just a quick note. This is hit and miss on a few maps. In Nevada, I tried to bust the Hoover Dam open…Nope. Just for grins and giggles there in Las Vegas, the Trump Hotel won’t go down either, however, on the Persian Gulf map, that really tall hotel, yea… it comes down with 3 B-52’s loaded with 2,000 pounders. Call me morbid, but yea, it’s funny as hell.
  23. Thank you, I’ve already tried the advise you gave me except for the Affinity adjustment. I was hoping that would work but it didn’t…Damn. My son is an IT guy and a gamer and he told me I need a new rig as this one I have is about 13 years old. I know this and I am slowly starting to buy the hardware for a new one. Was hoping some adjustments would get me by until I get all the pieces ready to build a good machine which is gonna take a bit..
