  1. No Sparrowhawk HUD. I really hope that it could be added later on, the extra functionality would be nice, but just my opinion.

    Top 3 ?

    1. Tomcat 2. Hornet 3. Tiger II
  3. My thoughts exactly. After the initial flight and landing I definitely plan to put her into a flat spin.
  4. I have the HyperX Cloud. The first one. I have it running through a Turtle Beach DSS2. Love it so far and I haven't any complaints about the mic in my TS. Mic is detachable and can be adjusted. Just like to point out that I am not an audiophile. It sounds great to me and recommend it. Like I said though I have v1 which didn't come with the USB dongle. I think it was $80USD and I think you can still pick the one without the USB sound card.
  5. Getting the same as well. Kaspersky detects that file.
  6. Doesn't matter too much temp wise. But I am running the 2 140mm fans at the front blowing in, the rear 140 blowing in and the 3 120's on the top blowing out. I wanted positive airflow hence the 3 blowing in. For fans, the front two (pushing through the rad) are Corsair SP140's, the rear is a Corsair fan that came with the case and the top 3 are Nidec Gentle Typhoons(pulling). Side note: it makes quite a bit of fan noise when I have my dust filters on, but pretty quiet with them off. However I leave the filters on because I always have headphones on anyways. This is everything I bought from PerfomancePCs minus the fans and a swivel pass through fitting (res to pump) which I got off of amazon. EDIT: accidentally bought 2 pump tops. But I had them removed it from the order and refund. They actually had that done before it shipped too, was really nice.
  7. I opted not to have one because yes, everything is downloadable. The last time I used a DVD was when I originally built the PC 5 years or so ago. So when I re-built to do watercooling I chose not to transfer it. Which is good considering it wouldn't have fit due to the way I ran my loop. So yeah, no issue (so far). Especially since Microsoft offers a tool to create bootable USB Windows installers. Although I could understand that it could be a problem for those that cannot afford/purchase un-capped high-speed internet. EDIT: Oh and another few tips. Take your time and go slow. Make sure that you have no kinks in your loop. And MOST OF ALL actually do a 24 hour leak check. It took 20 hours for the water to creep up the threads of my reservoir and start leaking from there. It slowly soaked the o-ring causing the leak. I had to use some JB WaterWeld to seal it, that is what that white line at the bottom of the tank is. For reference that res is a "Bitspower Water Tank Z-Multi 150 - POM"
  8. Not a watercooling expert at all seeing how I have only done it once. So I can only really offer what I have done. I have a corsair 750D case which I would recommend due to it having lots of room for stuff in there. I have a Alphacool NexXxoS XT45 360mm on the top of the case and a Alphacool NexXxoS UT60 280mm on the front. I did have an issue in that I had to mount the pump low in the system and couldn't use the harddrive cage. My temps are very stable on load. My two 980TI's with factory overclock hit 35C when doing something like Furmark using both GPU's. I think my highest CPU temp is something in the mid to high 60's. So all in all I think if you used a 360 you would probably be pretty good for a single 980Ti and CPU. I guess if you were limited in space you could add another small radiator somewhere else. And as Gladman mentioned. Apparently thickness doesn't do much for temps. Jayztwocents did a video on it [ame=https://youtu.be/3J6da3YV1yA]here[/ame] EDIT: Oh and I forgot, don't get too set on your loop layout until you start putting stuff in. But please remember, ALWAYS go Res. --> Pump. Other than that it doesn't matter because the water is moving fast enough it will all stabilize.
  9. This here shows why Dynamic Campaigns are such an important feature that needs to be added to DCS. Even though I voted for 4th Gen fighters (cause... Hornet) the more players we can pull in the better the game can be.
  10. I would love this. And maybe a preview to make sure you are choosing the correct one.
  11. 2 980Ti's. Those shots are from when the beta initially came out. Didn't set AFR2 and the whole alt+enter thing. No real change in FPS though.
  12. So I am noticing an FPS drop while firing the GAU-8. To show this, I used Easy - East Georgia - Spring Instant Action mission. I took a series of screenshots as I held down the trigger (or in this case the A button because my warthog is a pain to set up). As I continued firing the fps continued to drop as most of the bullets were still in the air due to where I was firing. As the rounds start landing (I would assume that is) the FPS gradually increases to the initial FPS. It takes on average 20-30 seconds after last round when shooting into the air like this. Unfortunately I did not document this part. Images contained in Spoiler While I don't think this can be fixed because the CPU is probably being bogged down tracking the bullets trajectory (and an extreme case scenario), I figured I would post this anyways. I think it should be tested on a server as well to see if it effects clients.
  13. I have the same issue as well. I think it is caused by units in the mission. For instance, when I load up Dragons Training Mission and start in the A-10C I get around 40fps on the ground with around 30% GPU usage. It goes up when I am in the air to 60ish but still does not max out my GPU's. However in the first A-10C instant action mission I see higher GPU usage and frame rate. I am thinking that the limiting factor is still the CPU, but this may also be caused by the training mission not being updated in some time. Below spoiler contains images of this, also settings.
  14. Tried both L-Alt and R-Alt Enter and still getting a large disparity between both cards usage wise. Images below show this (Top left). The image 1 is from The A-10C Easy instant action mission (first one on the list). Image 2 is running Dragons Training Pack - Weapons Training. Image 1 Image 2 Specs are below. Sorry couldn't get my overlay to not be blurry in the second shot
  15. In all honesty 0. It will download when it is up.... Steam version :) Also no overloaded servers!
  16. Great vids guys! I'll add something you definitely don't see every day albeit a little more mundane. Some footage from a RIO with chatter.
  17. Looks beautiful! Can't wait! and for what its worth, I don't care that I don't get the campaigns. I was promised a map and that is what I am getting. So why complain? However one question. I moved all of my stuff to Steam when we were able to transfer keys and have been purchasing through there. As a A-10C Beta owner will I be able to get the map free through Steam? If not 2 follow up questions, 1. How is the download speed of the ED Updater now? The main reason I switched to Steam was the download speed of the ED updater was atrocious, in Steam updates max my connection out at 10-12MB/s. 2. How do I go about transferring my steam keys to my ED Products page?
  18. Great update guys! Thanks for all your hard work, looking forward to the future!
  19. Out of curiosity, does the B share the same HUD as the A? And what does it look like? My minor Google search only came up with FSX HUDS.
  20. Saw this on Foxtrot Alpha. Good read! This Topgun Instructor Watched The F-14 Go From Tomcat To 'Bombcat' From Dave 'Bio' Baranek
  21. Looks like a good read! I will be picking this up for sure! May I also recommend Top Gun Days. Finished reading it a couple months ago and was a really interesting read. http://www.amazon.com/Topgun-Days-Dogfighting-Cheating-Hollywood/dp/1620871033/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1439928352&sr=8-1&keywords=top+gun+days
  22. and your lack of nostalgia is disturbing
  23. Like Cause I would take that. Otherwise I would do the Top Gun guitar theme:pilotfly:
