  1. Oh yea, I did mean both. Just point to bin-mt\dcs.exe
  2. I have had similar experience with the FA-18. It seems random and always after using F10 map. But this occurred before the update too. I was just thinking it was my settings are too demanding for my PC. I will still be able to exit F10 map but notice large distortions on the left and right followed by the entire screen. Sometimes this happens the first use of F10 or several later uses. The HMD will lockup wherever I was in the game, but the game will continue on. I have to reboot the game to get it cleared out. The HMD functions fine as soon as I manage to get the game to shutdown, exiting to the start screen doesn't clear the HMD. Quest 3, Virtual Desktop, Win 11 everything is up to date.
  3. You don't need to add the OXR command any longer, DCS natively supports OpenXR. So just point it at bin-mt\DCS.exe
  4. Under streaming in the VD settings, you will see presets for different graphic cards. Godlike, Ultra etc all have graphic card examples next to them.
  5. I wasn't suggesting that eliminating a page file won't work, I was pointing out that your screen shot of sensors shows it enabled at ~64GB. Eliminating the pagefile for playing games when you have adequate memory, is nothing new and it's been done for as long as I can remember. Naturally, physical memory is better than virtual. And this applies to GPU's too, on board GDDR6x memory as close to the GPU as possible is significantly faster than using system memory that is enabled in an already heavily used PCIe bus and that system memory is also slower. If having low VRAM were fine, we in the VR subset of DCS could quit buying $1k to $2k graphic cards.
  6. How are you starting DCS? Are you using Meta link, Steam or VD? I'm using VD and noticed they increased the settings, so Godlike went from 3090 to 4090. I assume that this why mine was having issues and it got better when I changed to 3070 even though I have always used thec3090 setting. There are also issues with Quadviews for other headsets with eye-tracking. If your using OXRTK that may also be having issues especially with turbo. They are no longer supported because of issues with ED breaking OXR standards in data passing. So if you had any settings with them that could be doing it. For me, I used the in game CPU/GPU monitor and I went from red CPU bound to green GPU bound with FPS of 75-80 and confirmed with the OXRTK onscreen monitor. However, 20 to 30 minutes in on to SP run my Q3 started getting distortions and then crashed. DCS was still active but the headset was frozen. Lowering the VD setting to RTX 3070 fixed it on one test I have had time for.
  7. Abandoned or escapee? I lived in a neighborhood where bunnies were raised for food, we rescued 3 before moving away. Before we knew what was going on, we returned the first bunny, and she showed up again. The second time, she beat us home. She passed recently after 8 years of a happy life.
  8. Are these your current specs/screengrab? It is showing Virtual Memory (Windows Pagefile is now called Virtual Memory) and your showing 64GB Virtual Memory. Or is that of something else? While a GPU could use system memory when it runs out, that would now cause you graphics to look like a flying discolored jittery potato. Think about the speed of GDDR6X VRAM on the GPU vs accessing system memory through PCIe bus. This was a very common use case in laptops in the past that called it a feature.
  9. Here is something else related to AMD GPU's and VR that I just ran into in a thread on QuadViews not working on HMD's with eye tracking: From mbucchia So, if you're planning a VR headset upgrade in the future, that should be a consideration. I just noticed he said foveated and not fixed or dynamic, so I don't know if it's just dynamic or not.
  10. Groceries stores are not well liked either, but necessary and 3 chains own most of the market. A great GPU is needed to take a sim like DCS with VR to another level, so we put up with NVIDIA to obtain that goal. We don't have to like them; we just need them. I don't like my power company either but need them.
  11. I've read all of them, the True or Not was to the actual sentence Is ED fixing or is this up to mbucchia? I wasn't asking if it worked or not, but who is fixing it, ED or mbucchia? Also, I'm not currently using Quadviews but was using OXRTK which I have now deleted since it is no longer supported but I will be giving it a try, I only have a Quest 3 so it may work for me per the previous threads.
  12. No doubt, NVIDIA is not well liked except by investors in AI.
  13. I found this on Pimax's site under blogs :Note: Quadviews in DCS patch 2.9.6 is broken and DCS is working on a fix Pimax Blog on Quadviews True or not?
  14. When you use the in-game monitoring, does it show CPU or GPU bound? I have a 10900k with a 3080ti and I am CPU bound so I will be upgrading my CPU/MB/Memory first. I'm sticking with NVDIA as some will swear its better in VR but for me, I have a bad AMD taste in my mouth from driver hell with AMD. Though I will be going AMD for my CPU as now I have a bad taste in my mouth from Intel and the lousy upgrade path of the 11th gen being a dog.
  15. This is a bit old now but this is the way I understand it. 1.There are two tabs in Process Lasso, "All Processes" and "Active Processes". Select the All Processes tab 2. Select any process in the list. Use keyboard ctrl+a to select all processes. 3. Right click any process 4. Select CPU Affinity -> Always -> Select CPU Affinity 5. Select your Threads for all processes to run on. 6. Select DCS -> repeat 3-4, Then 5 for just DCS. I have not tried this, I'm just saying that's how I read it and how to select all processes. Your basically moving every possible process except DCS off of some core/threads to give them to just DCS. So that includes backgrounds processes, really anything that could run.
  16. You can use max length USB to a powered hub and then max length again. The reason the length matters is power drop of already low voltage. The official USB is a hybrid optical/copper and I am unsure how it would behave extended.
  17. How many feet do you need? The max USB length is 2-3 meters (6-9ft). I used an extension from Monoprice for years in an RV with it going from inside to the roof and it never failed. However, it was USB 2.0. Here is a 5 meter version: Amazon 5 Meter USB 3 Extension As soon as you get the extension or other cable, test it in the Meta Quest Link software for speed to make sure it hits the 2.5Gbps mark, or close to it. I use VD as mentioned by kablamoman and a dedicated WiFi 6e router and it works great. Another question to you, is what your PC Specs are? VR needs a more powerful PC than 2D.
  18. I only know what WinWing said, if there is a work around then that's great.
  19. This is a Windows limitation. As i understand it, your VR headset is also 2 monitors. I heard this back when WW first started selling them and was answered by them on a FB post. This is why they sell VR versions since the screens won't work.
  20. Have you tried it in 2D with and without MT?
  21. Is your VR PC a i7-9700k and a 1080ti with a Pimax5K+ or does your signature need updating?
  22. I've been using Intel since 1990 and have never had any issues. My last build would have been AMD had not covid interfered. With that said, go with AMD. The AM5 socket will make a future path for an upgrade where as the the LGA1700 is ending this year so no more upgrades without another motherboard with the exception of a i9-14900.
  23. Both Intel and AMD are about to release new products with Arrow Lake for Intel and Zen 5 with AMD. So, if you're not in a hurry, I would wait for them to release and get some reviews. Or, they release and get a better price on an AMD as the Intel architecture is at its end with the 14th gen and the new socket an LGA1851 will be supported until 2026. My 10th gen got really 1 CPU cycle with the 11th not being an improvement over 10th. So, 2026 may only mean 2 CPU cycles and not much difference between them. The new Zen 5 is still going to be an AM5 socket, and they have said they will support AM5 until 2027. So go with an AMD now with AM5 socket like the 7800X3D now for the longest upgrade period as Intel constantly dumps sockets. And yea, there is no such thing a future proofing because but getting the most out of it over time is a good idea I would have gone with AMD when I built mine and I have always been an Intel user, but they were not available without giving them and arm and a leg during covid. I am also looking for an upgrade this year.
  24. Just one second off and on.
