  1. Awesome! Thanks, Reflected.
  2. Is it possible to edit the canopy glass of DCS aircraft to have the same color as the aircraft? Also if this is possible can we still see out of the edited canopy while in the cockpit? Thanks for any info.
  3. That is a "Bulldog" Pitts special outfitted with a Lycoming AEIO-540-D4A5 modified 400-hp engine, the aircraft could reach speeds of up to 250 mph. It was highly modified with stronger spars, longer ailerons, a reinforced fuselage, an over sized composite propeller, larger control surfaces, special fuel and oil systems, a re-shaped tail and a strengthened fuselage. The standard Christen Eagle only has a Lycoming AEIO-360-A1D, 200 hp engine and will be unable to perform like the Pitts in the video you posted.
  4. Thank you sir.
  5. When flying in a multiplayer server I will sometimes get a request from someone to be my RIO. After accepting them at some point they may leave due to X reasons. This will prevent Jester from returning and helping out. Can we make Jester functional again after a human RIO leaves? Also can we get some type of indication of the human RIO skill set like whether training has been completed or total RIO hours? Right now if I allow a random RIO to join me during a mission it is a gamble whether or not he knows what he is doing. Some RIO's are skilled and help successfully complete the missions while others jump in, push random buttons, blow off the canopy and then eject... With Jester not being functional after the human RIO leaves it makes a mission nearly impossible to complete successfully. Thoughts?
  6. Excellent. Thank you sir.
  7. The weapons rails below the fuselage (stations 3-6) weigh approximately "X" lbs... ~I have read they weigh as little as 375 lbs each (x4 1,500 lbs) and as heavy as 1,000 lbs each (x4 4,000 lbs)~ I noticed if the weapon rails are removed, the weight of the aircraft is not affected and remains the same.

  9. I read somewhere on here that it was backwards. Meaning checked will disable the landing call outs and unchecked would allow landing call outs. I believe it is defaulting to landing call outs enabled when the DCS is started. (Unchecked)
  10. Some Aim-54 info from last year.
  11. Since today's update I noticed the flight stick is glitching while doing an ACL approach.
  12. If you are in the pilot seat and look back at the RIO, you can also click on buttons in the RIO seat.
  13. I would think leaving the wings in auto and allowing the CADC (Central Air Data Computer) to calculate the wing, slats & flap position via the wing sweep program would be the best option. That is what it is designed to do based on your airspeed. The "the partial flaps thumb thing" is the maneuver flap system in which the CADC uses the flaps and slats automatically to improve aircraft performance. In this mode the flaps extends to 10° maximum and the slats to 7° maximum and the innermost flap section is disabled.
  14. Is it possible to do this in the sim? I'm mostly interested in how this can be done and how they did it during the real test. Thanks.
  15. Can we make this a sticky to help keep track of all the general F-14 questions about functionality? My 1st question is where is the canopy switch? I found the description of the canopy control handle in the manual on page 103 that states "The handle is mounted downwards beneath the box containing the handle mechanism and the handle position texts" however when I am in the cockpit & using Track IR I am unable to see or click on the canopy handle. Is this switch currently modeled and I am missing it or is it not implemented just yet? (Ctrl+C) works however I like clicking buttons. Thanks!
  16. Yesterday I was doing a flight up the coastline on a MP server and had my autopilot set for level flight, I was taking a few screenshots and then I walked away from my computer to get a drink and when I returned I found my landing gear were randomly in the down position. (Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS)
  17. To return to the normal mode of operation, the wing sweep handle should be set into the desired position and pressed down (Right clicked) followed by closing the emergency wing sweep cover. The MASTER RESET button in front of the manual wing sweep handle should then be pressed and the wing-sweep system set to the same position as the handle. The servo will then drive to the commanded position and re-engage the handle to the spider detent, resuming normal operation.

  20. That was it. Thank you sir!
  21. Ah, I'll check that. Thanks.
  22. It appears the external lights are non functional.
