  1. Suddenly I'm able to log in to my account. Where it says: "Pimax-Crystal-Super-HMD 50PPD QLED, 135FOV (Scheduled to ship in March 2025)" I ordered it 20th December, 2024. Where might that put me for delivery in 2025?
  2. I've discovered it doesn't have to be done every time, so long as you hold the headset roughly where it'll be when you're using it before you fire it up.
  3. The Pimax Super, was supposed to start shipping beginning of January but (surprise surprise) became delayed until "around end of March". So, here we are then...
  4. You're somewhat less cynical than me. It means "We don't have a clue beyond we're lying through our teeth and it'll be at least another quarter of a year, but screw you mugs we already got your money and did we already mention screw you".
  5. Just sayin'.
  6. "Jaggies", a function of resolution and anti-aliasing. Do you have DLSA/DLSS turned on in the settings? What's the Quest's native resolution? I don't use any AA in DCS, the OG Crystal's rez is high enough not to need it.
  7. A picture is worth many words. Lol. The plate is attached to the wood with four not very big screws, one at each corner. Edit, actually about 1.5" long. Mine has a 20cm extension. Even with that, it's like the stick is in almost-set concrete beyond 500kmh. If the force is set lower it makes the stick feel too weak at lower speeds, so realism trumps convenience. One certainly couldn't be effective online against players with spring sticks of course.
  8. I'm pretty sure my FFBeast tops out at 40nm. I have no idea where the force is set at, I've pretty much just followed "do that" instructions from Roman. What I do know is in some planes at high speeds I'm barely able to move the stick and I did strain/damage my shoulder. I have it mounted to a wood plate and the grip is the Virpil WarBird (plastic). Both the wood and grip are still solid so far, with no signs of failure. 60nm? It won't be flyable at higher speeds, unless the user is a gorilla.
  9. It's no different to any other 'complex' experience. Riding a bike, driving a car, building a PC, working out your new smartphone. The initial " Ooh, fk this!" to "Duh, so obvious, why was I ever worried".
  10. When that happens with my OG the headset needs re-centering with the controller.
  11. I use Wondershare to edit my vids but the upload time is down to your service provider.
  12. Never even heard of Evri. I thought Hermes was as bad as it could get in the UK. Lol. But well done Pimax. Find and choose the cheapest courier, save money but lose reputation and good will. Genius. Does somebody actually get a salary for being in charge of that dept?
  13. Whole video just illustrates how all corporations are anti-humanity. Nothing but lies and obscene greed from the shameless spivs in charge.
  14. I'm going to guess that unless NVidia publicly acknowledges the flaw and just as publicly shows the fix, the sales of the 50 series will take a very serious hit. However, I wouldn't be at all surprised to learn it's a deliberate ploy to get out of the gaming market with less damage to their rep than simply saying "screw all you gamers", so they can go all-in with chips for AI only. It would explain the lack of cards at launch too, they wanted to minimize the chances of actually causing death by fire before they got their manufactured excuse to bail.
  15. Quite clearly the judge took a brown envelope from NVidia. There was no legitimate defence available for NVidia and absolutely no possible way for that case to be legitimately dismissed. Yet another egregious example of corrupt corporations leveraging a corrupt judiciary.
  16. Hopefully somebody (or a class-action) will sue the spivs.
  17. I've tried various ways of capping the FPS, including this one you mention but they all degrade performance. My assumption is that any form of capping requires CPU work and as there are two cores already maxed out by DCS it leads to more overload. Kind of like trying to restrain a powerful dog on a leash, best thing is to unleash it (go drown in a fkin' lake or something ).
  18. The comparisons are hardly fair. That's not to say NVidia aren't now engaging in predatory practices (they clearly are) but the difference between an old Voodoo-3D and an RTX4090 are rather obvious. It's like comparing a 1960's Mini Minor to a 2024 BMW.
  19. No issues, unless potential elbow dislocation is one. Lol.
  20. I order most of my PC gear from Newegg in the US.
  21. Gun works with the FFBeast, fwiw.
  22. It'll struggle even with a 5090, especially as any CPU in DCS will bottleneck the crap out of it. I've ordered the Super purely for the 135-degree FOV (yeah, lol, we'll see) and intend to down-sample it to OG Crystal territory for my 4090. IF the 5090, at some far distant mythical time, becomes available at a fair price, I might buy one. Just for the VR overhead in other games (IL2).
  23. Very informative, thank you for that clearly presented and understandable data. The other guy, over a period of days and posts I have found you to be very articulate but essentially toxic as fk. You have been weighed, measured and found wanting. Woke victimhood is how I've heard such behaviour described. Please knock it off before yet another member (me) adds you to the block-list.
  24. If that's in IL2, it's not been implemented yet.
