Looks like AMD lost his pole position after 5 years of domination with the FX series. 15877 3D mark 06 and 24770 3D mark 05: :helpsmilie: http://forums.vr-zone.com.sg/showthread.php?t=77740 Can I have the FX-62 for $90 next month? :D -

Cool down F-22 dudes: The F-22 raptor program had one major imperfection. Engineers could never cool down the exhaust-gases (leaving behind) fewer than 2000°C except by letting it fly under 5000ft at a ridiculous slow speed of 300kts. Consequently the typhoon can detect, track and lock and destroy the raptor with his ABVRAAM (Meteor) from upper limit of 80nm with his PIRATE system. The combination of Meteor/ PIRATE system basically makes stealth technology completely useless. The PIRATE, or Passive Infra Red Airborne Tracking Equipment is a 2nd generation Imaging Infra Red (IIR) system and performs this duty of passive detection. The technology PIRATE incorporates both a Forward Looking Infra Red (or FLIR) and Infra Red Search and Track (or IRST) capability. The system itself utilises a highly sensitive Infra Red sensor mounted to the port side of the canopy. This equipment scans across wavelengths from 3 to 11 µm in two bands. This allows the detection of both the hot exhaust plumes of jet engines as well as surface heating caused by friction. By supercooling the sensor even small variations in temperature can be detected at long range. Although no definitive ranges have been released an upper limit of 80nm has been hinted. BTW, the Pirate-system which was developed for the typhoon was already bought in and integrated in the F-22. Before you ask, I can’t give you my source. :megalol:

I remember that 1 B-2 made an emergency landing during the Yugo war period. The US was claiming that the damage was not related with the air strikes over the Yugo area. Anyway, since the Yugo war, no B-2 was ever used again in any real conflict. About the T-160 claim: There is nothing in the world that can intercept a Mach 2 cruising Black Jack at alt 50k+ (including the F-22).

You can check the kh-41 (ASM-MSS) encyclopedia from Lockon! This is the 41 (compare the characters in red) This is the one mounted on a Su-33:

OT - North Korea just started the invasion...
TucksonSonny replied to TucksonSonny's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
I know: the people almost die of starvation in NK . Last year I watched a documentary of some villagers in North Korea using barrow and no sign of a car (even horses were too expensive I guess). Anyway congratulations for the UK victory against Ecuador in Germany! -

The Crimean peninsula area/terrain is almost similar with the area in North Korea especially with the presents of plenty of coastal area. The skins were custom made for the Russian Mig-29A (Demo paint). Anyway get the skins here: http://users.belgacom.net/gc363831/fc/korea-skin-mig29.zip North Korea skin for Russian Mig-29A by Sonny Tuckson. Install: à First convert the files to format bitmap with extension .BMP à Put the files into “C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Eagle Dynamics\Lock On\Bazar\TempTextures” “MIG-29-PAINT-DEF-10-L.bmp” “MIG-29-PAINT-DEF-10-R.bmp” Based on Mig-29A clean bitmap template ( 2048x2048 ) PS. Star in the Korean flag was corrected (flipped in the right direction!) -
OT - U.S. Navy test intercepts warhead
TucksonSonny replied to NEODARK's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
I am just observing and describing what is going on. I am not saying that it is a good idea to attack Iran. The case with Iraq was different: It was not supported by the UN. This time the UN, Europe and the US are pulling together. Personally I hope that we (the world) can solve the problem by simply putting enough AAA at these hostile borders. -

Why wouldn’t they do it? All you need is an immoral and dupe leader supported by their people (it already happened over and over in our history). It was already stated that a certain country must be wiped from the map. My personal opinion is that Iraq was only a necessary step to get (read enclose) Iran. Of course they knew that there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. -
I am glad that finally someone understood my hidden criticism: Modifications made for getting more balanced (online) game play : 1) Top speed F-15C was downgraded (normal Mach 2.5 with clean jet at 35k). 2) Range R-77 was downgraded (first shoot capability versus aim-120C). 3) ECM Su-27 was downgraded (superior of Russian ECM: lack of earlier burn through) 4) R-27EM (Su-33) was downgraded (R-27EM=R-27ER?) 5) Datalink for su-27 was downgraded 6) Kill ratio in the NEZ for AIM-120C downgraded (This is a nice one for an Su pilot like me :D ) :bash: Just a minute, I am getting my popcorn … :D

Temp at 50k+ should be about -70°C. I wonder if this is modeled. -
Spend money on the police force to begin with. This country is a very dangerous place. :gun_smilie:

Why not using the typhoons? :pilotfly:

For the joke once I was cruising back to the home plate with a clean su-27 on HL 504th server @45k+ alt speeding between Mach 2.2 and reaching Mach 2.4 in the end with almost no fuel left. The enemy was as usual flying @2000-5000m and in large numbers below me. It was a surprise for me that nobody was able to intercept me or catch up with me and some even did not notice me (I guess the alt difference and speed advantage). I wonder why almost everyone prefers low altitude (I guess dodging/outrunning missiles in thick air is one reason) -

I don’t know how the resemblance goes as with the F-16 but the F-16A was lighter and more maneuverable than the F-16C (wings were modified to bear more load). On the other hand thrust is increased seriously but the engines are heavier. -
It is a flight sim with a damn good (balanced) game play. If you can buy it at the Simware-store then it is a sim. PS. for me RL is a game.

I am not sure if it is still being used but I can remember that air-superiority fighters were considered as class A fighters (F-15/Mig-31 Fox/Su-27) Maximum range, speed, radar strength and weapon capability were the most important criteria. It was rather an US-airforce classification. The idea was to avoid contact with class A fighters in battle if possible if you were only Class B.
-
The Su-30 outclasses the F-16 in about everything... I DO not understand your joke. It (Su-30) even is more expensive (the only true criterium used by the local F-22 nut-rider of this board). The Su-30 is considered as a Class A fighter while the F-16 (MLA/A/F) is only class B. This is common NATO source. Wake up man. :music_whistling:

About the S-400: - Ceiling: 25,000 m (82,000 ft) - Guidance: I/AR with use of new mathematical techniques and computer equipment. - all-new ground elements providing capabilities against low RCS stealth aircraft, small cruise missiles, and future low-RCS re-entry vehicles. Competitive development with Almaz for Russian equivalent to THAAD. - The S-400 featured an unbreakable, unjammable data link from the launcher to the missile in flight. - In 1999 trials began at the test range of a new surface-to-air missile, the S-400 Triumf: The S-400 was capable of simultaneously tracking and guiding missiles to a classified but enormous number of targets during trials starting in 1999. - A single SU consisted of a phased array radar - One SPU launcher contained four surface-to-air missiles with 400 km range. These missiles were not just capable against airborne targets, but also radar stations, command points, strategic bunkers, and re-entry vehicles of intermediate range missies with velocities of up to 3 km/s. Manufacturer/source: Efremov/Lyulev. Location: Moscow, Russian Federation. -

Ok, “barring” Since English is only my 4th language I misunderstood the word barring. Sorry for being kind of slow … :poster_oops:
