There is already animation for Apache to get out of the cockpit (as ejection) so I am sure there is a plan don the road. I think there was even a mention that advanced animations are in progress, however from the newsletter long time ago I gathered it will be rather for WWII aircraft...

DCS Update | Kola Development Report | Pimax Crystal Light
Gierasimov replied to Graphics's topic in Official Newsletters
We want Fulcrum we want Fulcrum we want Fulcrum.... The MiG-29 Fulcrum should get a promotion - it always rises to the occasion, newsletter about the project update and ins and outs would be the best newsletter this year! -
Afghanistan is enough for me in the War-on-Terror and War on Isis scenarios, I will wait for the "south expansion", however I wonder what comes first, expansion or DCS Earth.
-
Yeah, I guess, we will see what DCS Earth module brings. Hopefully it will be good quality down low and not only for high altitude interceptions but also for the helo folks, although I don't think so.

Caucasus by Ugra Media - 30 USD, if it was OrbX - 0 USD, current Caucasus looks better than Kola in many places

investigating Hornet's Slow-State Energy Bleed?
Gierasimov replied to wilbur81's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
IF and WHEN public data is available for sure it fuels community expectations, however those are not moderated by the fact that Hornet is just a bolt-on module to the core game (code) which might influence module code in such a way that certain 1:1 mapping of available data is simply impossible. -
What's a ship of war without its' crew?
Gierasimov replied to Gierasimov's topic in Heatblur Simulations
Not sure about how well they cooperate and surely don't want to cross reference other developer's issue to this thread. In Russian forum Chizh said he thinks it is possible once the deck crew is finalized. I cross posted this in SD's thread for visibility:- 11 replies

investigating Hornet's Slow-State Energy Bleed?
Gierasimov replied to wilbur81's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
It used to be at least 47 units of Alpha since day one, if it can go to 60 units now, its evidently better, even though not doubled. Still my point is, DCS Hornet is not real life 1:1 copy -
No, we had news since the video, yes we want more, we will get news when there is any to share with us. Don't be upset, it is not worth it.

unable to reproduce Units not moving

Any chance you can replicate on Caucasus or Marianas? I tested my end on Afghan and Marianas, no issues. -
investigating Hornet's Slow-State Energy Bleed?
Gierasimov replied to wilbur81's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Since long time ago we were told by Wags and through official ED social media, that DCS F/A-18C product IS NOT simulating everything in 1:1 precision on purpose. Including the performance values and flight envelope abilities. This was stated already multiple times. How valid is the argument about performance displayed by virtual Hornet as compared to real life Hornet? Even if we take real documents and show EDSA where DCS product is lacking, it is still on purpose, therefore we should not expect a fix. Correct ? I wonder though, what will come out of the FM coding change that is being made right now. -
Thanks, typo ofc

Expectation on Air to Air missiles of the MiG-29A?
Gierasimov replied to pepin1234's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
I see your '77 Pinto and raise you a FAB-500. Let’s see if it can handle that! Unless you meant 1977 Pinot in which case I don't drink and pickle. -
The MiG-29 Fulcrum, introduced in the 1980s, was equipped with the N019 Phazotron pulse-Doppler radar. This radar had a detection range of approximately 70 kilometers (about 43 miles) for fighter-sized targets. It could track up to 10 targets simultaneously and engage one or two of them. What about Warsaw Pact exports of 9.12A? Given these capabilities, the MiG-29 could detect larger cruise missiles and drones, especially those with significant radar cross-sections. For example: cruise missiles - could likely detect larger cruise missiles such as the AGM-86 ALCM (Air-Launched Cruise Missile) or the Soviet Kh-55, which have radar cross-sections similar to that of a small aircraft. Larger drones like the MQ-1 Predator or the Soviet Tu-141 Strizh, which have relatively larger radar cross-sections, would also be detectable by the MiG-29's radar. However, smaller and stealthier drones or cruise missiles with reduced radar cross-sections might be more challenging to detect, especially at longer ranges.

Hello ladies and gents! There are lot of stories going around regarding Fulcrums interceptions of cruise missiles / drones. I understand that there should be no problem in the infrared spectrum, but how about radar? Is Fulcrum radar capable to detect small targets such as a drone or cruise missile? With Hornet we can easily intercept Silkworm missile and R-77 even (not checked if still possible). Should we expect the new Fulcrum being able to detect and lock on with it's radar on things such as cruise missiles and drones (available in DCS) ?

Expectation on Air to Air missiles of the MiG-29A?
Gierasimov replied to pepin1234's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
Then it is settled! It's not the aircraft it's the pilot Admit it, in this thread Fulcrum is better than anything else! Even the new Stinger 3D model released. -

I disagree, Syria and Marianas are both fantastic maps from down low and slow -

Even though my DCS logbook shows almost 700 hours in Hornet, I am looking forward to this campaign mate.
