  1. Yes, its specially noticeable when changing heading. I hope this will be fixed in next patch. What I supress to me is this bug is not acknowled by ED.
  2. It seems to me that I have more microstutters with VD
  3. Take it into account that FPS stutters is more noticeable with high end hardware. In my case with a 4090, 120 fps sustained... stutters alot with radar in AA. Not with radar OFF or AG mode (F-18&F-16). If I try to limit my fps to only 60 fps (simulating other GPUs condicitions 2080 etc...) I have less stutters. It seems quite smooth to me. I think that this issue is not resolved yet. Due the latest 2 bete make stutters only in 2 planes (AA radar F-18 and F-16) and NOT others. In fact, F-15E radar with 8 threads, AA and AG, are completely smooth to me (over 100-120 fps sustained all the time, even over syria big cities). F14A/B also is perfect... So I´m convicted that some code introduced in the latest 2 patches are wrong. Please Flappie could you change the thread to "investigating", at least, and tell to ED devolopers? thanks.
  4. Thanks Flappie. I getting mad with it... I dont understand why reverting back to other version its completely smooth. And with F-15E in the last OB version, also is completely smooth. Can you review my files attached so It could be found something more I miss?
  5. Thanks. Do you refer USB connection throught stream asssistant, right?
  6. What is Pico 4 in PC mode? can you explain a bit more to me plz?
  7. Have you tried to switch off radar? or test with radar in AG mode? I started a thread, I suspect you stutters in F-18 are related to radar in AA.
  8. I attach 2 tracks. One with radar ON, other with radar OFF. Look at fps graph. JUST after the plane leves de runway, there is a BIG stutter which is not present with radar OFF. Even I inclued a picture of that event. I attach a first picture with these stutters, and another picture with radar OFF and normal flight (my FPS at 4k over a Syria big city, maximum detail (ultra, MSAA 2X, SSAO, etc..), no stuttering, over 100 FPS sustained (4090), 32 GB RAM, SSD 2TB, pagefile 32TB (in another drive) In addition, I attach: - DCS.log - Options.lua - Nvidia screenshots - DXDiag picture with radar ON - BIG stuttering just after F-18 leaves the runway (just when radar switch on automatically) picture with radar OFF - Normal flight, over big city and near 120 fps sustained, no stutter, smoth as silk... Nvidia Config Pagefile --> is aTB Sabrent Rocket over 5000 MB/S, I have DCS and W10 on that drive. Swapfile is at other SSD (Samsung 860 EVO) in F: Only F-18 and F-16 cause these stutters related to radar, concretely in AA mode (AG mode do not cause stutters). Other AC M-2000, Mig-21, JA-37, JF17, FC planes, F-14... do not cause any stutters with radar ON. Plase Flappie, pass this info to ED developers, reverting 2 patches ago do not causes any issues, the sim is completely smooth for me (even in Cairo with many units or normandy). F-18 Syria Take-off NO_Stutter.miz.trk F-18 Syria Take-off_Stutter.miz.trk dcs.log options.lua DxDiag.txt
  9. Other planes (I have everything in the sim except F1 Mirage) works as ever. F14, M-2000, JA-37, JF-17, FC3 fighters.... none of these planes or radars make any stutters. Only stutter in AA mode in F-16 and F-18. Occours less in PGulf and Caucasus (sutter in PG is minimal, only at low level at dubay or just after takeoff), it is more noticeable in Syria, Sinai or Normandy. Its is very noticeable: a big stuttering the first time you load in memory any map, in a very specific situation: just after takeoff (in the same moment that the wheels leaves touhing the runway). if I reload the map or mission... no suttering in that moment. If I quit DCS and start again.... no stuttering in that moment. I have to reboot Windows 10 and reload the sim.
  10. In relation to AA stuttering radar in F18 and F16: Maybe you don´t notice those stuttering. Maybe its something related to a specific option I have put, or maybe others have some stuttering here and there and don´t notice those stutters (thinking that is normal. An example, if i limit DCS with nvidia inspector to 45 or 60 fps, simulating other PC configs like others with less equipment than my 4090 GPU, I hardly can notice them also... due I´m limited by GPU all the time. The CPU, SSD, ... are fresh and could have enoguht ms to load data...). What I dont understand: if I back to an older version (2 patches ago), I have completely fluid experience - constant perfomance, in 2D at 120 fps sustained (even big cities with many units) - also in VR at 72 fps sustained (Pico 4, godlike mode), in MT. I tested reverting back yesterday just to check if it was something related to W10 update, or config... nothing. Completely fluid with 2 patches ago. Reverted back to current beta version and having stuttering that I don´t had... so my conclussion: there is something else introduced in the code that lead to some stutters (however... the sim is playable. But not so nice...).
  11. Here is the track. Please look at clouds and sky banding, closing and opening L and R eyes once a time, its easily noticeable that colours banding do not match between eyes in VR. It happens on clean installation, user rest folder, many Nvidia Drivers, even 2 differents HMD (Valve Index and PICO 4). @Jagger303what is your HMD? VR --- CLOUDS - SKY DIFFERENT BANDING AT NIGHT BETWEEN EYES.trk
  12. I have also the same stuttering in OB version with F-18/F-16 radar ON in AA
  13. I tried thoese solutions. DDU Cleaner, full repair DCS, renamed DCS use file, cleand FXO and metashader folder, various nvidia drivers, etc... Even tested in 2 HDM (Index and Pico). This issue is not noticeable at day or night without moon. Please test it at full moon, is quite visible specially looking at clouds (look subtle differences over my picture). What is your HMD? What are you graphics card?
  14. Do you have installed DCS on the same drive that are installed Windows 10? or in a different drive? can you give me what are your specs? S.O, graphics card and SSD drives, also CPU and RAM. I have installed DCS on a M2 SSD drive 2TB 5000MB/S (DCS and Windows 10 on the same drive). The page file (32GB) is on other SSD driver (PCI drive, 560 MB/S, Samsung EVO 870). I moved also the page file to M2 SSD 2TB, and I continue noticing the stuttering. What I noticed is that if I reload the trks after playing once, the second time stuttering is not so huge. But If I reset the PC, the first load stuttering appears. Maybe you didn´t notice the stuttering on the second mission load? have you tried to reset completely your PC? One of my testes: if I load trks while I have put in Nvidia a limit of 60 fps, suttering is not noticeable (it seems that SSD could feed my GPU at 60 Hz), but If I put FPS limit to 120fps (ideal for my 4090 card), suttering during AA radar ON appears.
  15. I don´t have that file in my user config
  16. DLSS cannot be implemented in DX11 (current edge engine). To my knowledge there is no game with DLSS over DX11. DLSS only can be implemented in Vulkan or DX12.
  17. Sorry Flappie, edited my other thread . CPU power is not limited, power plan is at max performance (nvidia and windows settings). If reverted DCS to the previous beta one and I had no stutters with AA radar in F-18 or F-16... so I´m sure that is not my PC. Even I have the minimum apps installed in W10 just to have maximum performance (no antivirus, no other apps running at background... only the necessary).
  18. That´s not my case Flappie I have DCS World in a SSD M2 2TB (Sabrent Rocket) runing at 5000 MB/S in C:, and my pagefile (size of 32GB) is located in other ssd (witch is not a M2, but SATA 500MB/S Samsung EVO 570 2TB). What I noticed in one of my testing the last night: if I limit my FPS to only 60 frames per second with nvidia inspector, the stuttering is minimal - all time graph shows GPU bounded, even with AA radar - (maybe BN that´s one of the reason about you don´t have stutters with your 1080ti... because you´re everytime GPU bounded and your CPU never is saturated). But ... with FPS limited to 120 fps, at 4K and maximum detail (near 120 fps sustained in many missions), I have huge framedrops from 120 to spikes of 10-20 fps.. even pauses... with text showing CPU BOUNDED. Happens only if I select AA radar. Not with radar OFF or radar in AG mode. Only F-16 and F-18. Other planes like F-14, Mirage 2000, JF-17 ... radar and sim works as ever, without any stuttering. What I noticed also in my test is that if I play the stuttering tracks in SP DCS version, the stuttering even is bigger that with MT version. Something wrong was introduced in code in the latest open beta patch. It would be quite interesting if someone can put some graphs comparing FPS hit, BUT with high end PCs.
  19. Hi Flappie, maybe it could be related to specs. I have normally sustained 120 fps, even in missions with many units (4090 at 4K, 5900x, 32GB DDR4 3600, 2 TB SSD) so stuttering could be more noticeable in my PC (120 fps to 50 or 60 fps, or less... are quite noticeable...), in comparison with your 1080ti. I would test limiting to 60 fps by nvidia inspector, just to have a test... maybe drops from 60 fps are not so noticeable. I don´t understand ... I reverted also to previous version (same exact PC config) and I can guarantee to you that is smooth as silk, 120 fps sustained even in syria at damascus city. In latest OB, with radar in AG mode or off (F-16, F-18) is smooth as silk also. So for sure there is something in the latest OB code that is not right. Thanks for your testes and support. KR.
