DCS AIRFIELD & FARP CONFIGURATION GUIDE and C2 TEST
Backy 51 replied to Backy 51's topic in Mission Editor Tutorials
Red, On M.E., look for a black range ring line. Can't remember if it exists or not, but I bet there's a range radius in meters, (approx 150M), from the FARP that triggers the "loss of arming". Or maybe, when two opposing units enter the radius zone all FARP activities cease until there is a victor? -
DCS AIRFIELD & FARP CONFIGURATION GUIDE and C2 TEST
Backy 51 replied to Backy 51's topic in Mission Editor Tutorials
I do not. I suspect control of the FARP would change from BLUE to RED once all BLUE coalition forces are destroyed. -
Just had this happen to me today in the Nevada Map. Had to go to F2 screen and back to F1 to restore the view.

You can use the snipping tool, but you may need to paste it in Paint, resize it, save as jpg or png and then browse to it in Mission Editor. I use JPG format with no issues.

No worries ... probably a Microsoft Edge glitch ... Chrome let me in.

How about a cockpit switch command to turn on the Dump Fuel switch as a workaround?

Noticed the USER DRAW SHOW, but not sure of its purpose or if it is enabled yet. Anyone know?

Yes, you could unzip the miz; edit with Notepad++, then repackage it back into a miz. That process can be tricky however. Be sure to back up the original mission file before experimenting. You may be better off in your specific case in doing the copy/paste of desired aircraft with multi-point route and then changing the aircraft type of the copy. Any method used is going to involve a lot of mission editor post editing of aircraft parameters.

Nicely done! -
Try this as a work around. Start a clean empty mission and make a route of waypoints with aircraft A set as takeoff from runway. Save the mission as a Static Template. Now in the mission editor change aircraft A to aircraft B and change it (B) to Takeoff from Ramp. Load the Static Template which will put aircraft A back on the runway. Change aircraft A again to aircraft C. Now in the mission editor change aircraft A to aircraft C and change it (C) to Takeoff from Ramp. Wash, rinse and repeat as required. This technique gives you the benefit of your 20+ waypoint (or whatever number) now being a saved "Stereo Route" that you can call up for future missions on this map. I do this for Tanker, AWACS and other Stereo or Canned routes. Once you build up your library, you can share the STM files with others and save them time as well as mission planners. See this download and examine my STM files for the tanker and IR-983 Low Level routes. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3317445/ Cheers!

Generally speaking, there are two types of refueling areas: tracks and anchors. Factors such as receiver mission and routing, number and routing of tankers, offload quantity required, receiver number and type, weather, time constraints, and availability of airspace determine which type is used. AAR along a designated AR track, (usually run in a linear flight path hundreds of miles long), is the preferred method for intertheater refueling. AR Tracks are typically named "AR-XXX", where XXX is a numerical designation like AR-800 near Guam. Normally, tracks have a designated AREN, ARIP, ARCP and AREX, as do Anchor Tracks. AR Tracks are used when receiver aircraft are required to maintain a predetermined aspect to an objective area. AR tracks are best when either tanker or receiver performance would be impacted by multiple turns. Example would be B-52 and C-5 AAR. In Anchor Tracks, the tanker flies a racetrack pattern within a defined protected airspace, approximately 70-100 NM long, while waiting for receiver aircraft to arrive. Once joined, the tanker flies an expanded racetrack orbit while refueling occurs still within the Anchor Track protected Airspace. AR Tracks are typically named by a "nickname", like RIO and LUXOR near Guam. Anchor Track refueling is normally used for intratheater operations where airspace is confined or where receivers need to operate from a central location. Anchor areas are best suited for fighter or highly maneuverable aircraft. I have a few tanker hours under my belt ...

Looks familiar ... but those are just the Anchor Tracks.
