  2. We all already have this with the current Stennis. How you figure you should still be able to land on the SC if you don't own it? That's like wanting to fly the Hornet even if you don't own it, but don't allow me to use weapons.
  3. Ok cool. Thanks for the info. I'll try that and see what performance I get. I used to use 1.5 with the CV1, but I probably don't need to go that high with the Reverb since it has a high native res. I like motionvector because it gets rid of the in-cockpit ghosting and smooth performance when looking at the terrain at 3 & 9 o'clock position, but it does produce artifacts. I guess there's always going to be a give and take when it comes to VR. People get caught up in FPS too much. To me it's all about smooth play. At times, I've seen choppy stuttering gameplay while my fps displayed 50+. So it's not always about achieving high frames.
  4. I think this thread should be closed after that post. :) Skate made valid points without promising definite performance gains. We ALL have hope and we ALL have to wait and see the results. I don't think ED would go through the trouble of implementing Vulkan for nothing.

  6. No point. I just figured since the new scaling increased the per eye resolution, we would need to lower the percentage. Before the last update, 200% was way lower than 3000+ per eye. I'm new to this SteamVR stuff so maybe I'm looking at it wrong.
  7. He's getting 30fps because his refresh rate is 60Hz. If motionvector is set, you'll always get half of your refresh rate.

  12. Tough pill to swallow, but I think you hit the nail on the head. I guess a lot of my questions were nothin but wishful thoughts. BUUUUT, how will we get to see this detailed hangar deck? Will we be able to walk down stairs to it? :lol::lol: Ok ok, I'll stop. I'm just torturing myself.:)
  13. Exactly this for me. I tried with wing sweep to Auto and although I was able to refuel, I was all over the place compared to Bomb mode.
  14. I get what you're saying but the feature list is still vague. "Hangar deck" & "working elevators". The current Stennis has both, but we can't use the hangar deck. Only the AI can taxi there. So just those two examples alone bares the question, to what extent will the user get to use them. Yes, wait and see can be the answer to any question on any unreleased module's thread, but I don't think that's how this works.

    JDAM vs. LGBs

    OMG this^. I've been practicing using JSOW-A but I gave up on them. They're just like the CBU 99 & 20s, too inconsistent. Yes, I do get a few units here & there, but I cant find a good altitude, speed, & burst height to use these more effectively.

  19. Normally after an early access release, the discount for the product is no longer available. So, for the Supercarrier, Hornet owners will still get a discount after the early access release. Is this correct, NineLine?
  20. Hash what out? He's telling you Hornet owners will have a discount for a longer period of time. Normally discounts are over when the product releases.
  21. I have to admit, following the Supercarrier has really been frustrating. Although, I love the preview video, however, I don't recall so many unanswered questions for a module before. I understand what's planned is not always possible due to many factors like hardware limitations, etc, but give us something. All the info provided has been very vague. I'm trying to stay patient. Maybe detailed info will be provided next week when it goes on pre-sale.:dunno:

  23. Yup! Unfortunately, you just can't taxi to the hangar area. You'll fall right through as soon as you move off the elevator.

  25. Already been discussed and ED is well aware of the lack of core features. Hopefully this week's newsletter speaks on this.
