  1. Allow me to clarify. I don't see anyone else posting about the textures you are having issues with. The shiny pilot and drop tanks are a different animal. Also, linking 3 year old threads about long since fixed issues isn't really helpful. Hope you figure it out. Best of luck!
  2. I was just flying it. No texture issues. 2.5.4.27314. I don't see anyone else posting. Have you been playing with mods again?
  3. That's not a lot of info go on. In general a placed machine gunner with no waypoints should stay put. If his ROE changes from green to red (his ROE set to auto and combat activities happen close to him) he might disperse, moving a short distance, simulating running for cover. If this is the movement you are getting, and want to stop, then set him to not disperse in his waypoint actions. If you force his ROE green he will not run but also will not fight.
  4. LoL, Yep, sorry for how that reads. I wasn't trying to bash anyone for posting a wish in a wishlist thread. Just the current possibilities.
  5. Your current options have been mentioned. Need to step away briefly, pause it. Need longer, escape, and save the track for later. Tracks are not always reliable, but that's what we have. Beyond that we're entering "wish list" material.
  6. If you want any feeling of threat, simulated death has to be possible. Otherwise just make yourself indestructible. You'll now you were hit, and should be dead, but can continue on. You can always try loading the track, and compress time if you need to get back to a point quickly. I say try because tracks are not always reliable.
  7. No, you can't avoid it if you need to look at the mission. It doesn't matter if you run the ME, or invoke it through the mission planner after you launch the briefing, like others have posted, if the builder used a loadout that you don't have, or don't have in the same category, this warning pops up. Just answer no, and never save the mission, so you don't screw it up. If you should ever need to change a mission and make a save, you would need to answer yes, or risk messing up the mission builders desired loadouts.
  8. Thanks for the M2KC. What a fun, agile fighter. In MP, others have the edge in BVR, but in the right hands, using the right tactics, she is deadly, and ASM. Love the AV8B. First DCS VTOL fixed wing. What a great attacker. A little less destructive payload than the Hawg, but the extra speed, and VTOL, make the more frequent RTB’s fun, and exciting. Looking forward to your MiG19. Faster than the 15bis, and more maneuverable than the 21. I think the F5’s, and others, are going to have their hands full trying to figure her out. I know any official team post will set off a whirlwind of both cheers, and jeers, but I’m going to ask anyway, since this is the roadmap thread. Some recent posts have given me the impression that the A29 is slipping down the order. Assuming the MiG team moves to the 23, and the Islas Malvinas team have years of work ahead of them, what’s next in the other channel(s)? Lately we’ve been seeing more F15, and OV10 pics, than M3. I may be fooling myself by assuming pics mean anything, but if you guys are posting them, they must be things you’re excited to show us. So… has the roadmap shifted? I promise not to take any update as a promise. :smilewink:
  9. You need a country on the RED side that has the F-15 available to it. The USA Agresor country was created just for this sort of thing. If you didn't set your coalitions up with this in mind you can't change them after you start building the mission unless you use a mod to do it.
  10. Currently, the only WW2 era map is Normandy. The only way to have WW2 units is to buy the pack or possibly use mods. The exception for using WW2 units, without buying the asset pack, are the other aircraft modules, since they exist externally to the asset pack. In other words, if all you owned was the P51, you could still place AI controlled FW-190's, and/or BF-109's, or any other module aircraft, on the free map, using the mission editor. The Mustang comes with about 10 training missions, 8 instant action, and maybe 2 or 3 regular missions for the free map.

  12. Virtual squadron flying is some of the most rewarding. Consider checking some out. Some public servers, like Blue Flag, are well suited for forming up with others on the fly due to its structure. Checkout this newsletter from the 11th, if you haven't already. Some of the things you're looking for might not be that far away. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3735513&postcount=178
  13. I have no idea what the final release will look like myself, but you should go back and check out the first 3 seconds of the video you are referencing. Thanks for posting the picture of the real one. I'm afraid if the Devs put in that much panel and canopy glare/reflection they'd be greeted with torches and pitchforks.
  14. I think it has changed. They removed the dot/lock indicator. Hold the target in the sight until you get the tone. The seeker see's it but it's not locked yet. Wait until the tone pitch changes, now it's locked and can fire. It appears aircraft aspect is now a factor when determining if the seeker sees the target.
  15. If you don't like those options you can always use a "run script" on an advanced waypoint action to flip a flag for the stop condition. So, at wp 1 you start a fire at point with a stop condition of 'check' is user flag [1] is 'check' Then at wp 2 (where you want them to stop shooting) you use run script; trigger.action.setUserFlag(1,true) That will satisfy the stop condition and cause the the fire at point to stop. You can flip the flag back with another run script if you want to re-use the same flag at the next firing position; trigger.action.setUserFlag(1,false) Then repeat it all at the next area. Pretty sure, without testing it, that would work. The ME is pretty good. There is almost always more than 1 way to make something happen. You could also do it with trigger zones, and triggers, as well. It comes down to what gives you the desired result with the least amount of configuration.
  16. If your using advanced waypoint action/fire at point, you can add a stop condition.
  17. To make kneeboards work for specific aircraft you must get the aircraft name correct. A-10C Ka-50 AV8BNA etc.. Someone made a list some time ago. You may have to search for it or figure them out yourself.
  18. @Squiffy Germany is setup as 2 countries. Germany and Third reich (for WW2 units) You must set coalitions when you start building the mission. There may be a way to flip a countries coalition, but I think it still requires a mod outside the ME.
  19. A stand alone game featuring FC3 level aircraft that match up, smaller maps, mission generator geared to action oriented gameplay, with a rewards system. You don't need that much more info to start visualizing what MAC will be. If rewards feed into the current system, I don't think it's going to be that radical. It's about selling content. It may not suit you, or me, or some others in the current DCS crowd, but I think it will have an audience, if they can market it. If it makes a profit for ED, and helps keep the doors open, I'm all for it.
  20. They inherit the previous waypoint tasks setting unless it is changed. Set a stop condition or at the separation waypoint set it back to no task and see if that breaks them. Rather than use follow, I think they put in a "big formation" task you might try.
  21. You can force the update. If you don't have a shortcut on the start menu, you can run DCS_update.exe from the \bin folder.
  22. Why all the crazy speculation? The statement is very clear... "We regret to inform you that VEAO is no longer a developer for DCS World. As such, they have also ceased support of their Hawk. Although we offered to support their product, they declined making the files available to do so."
  23. Your problem is the unofficial Mb-339A/PAN mod. This is known and info is available here... https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3727394#post3727394
  24. The dcs.log file from within the Saved Games folder might help since you're crashing while loading.
  25. Yep ^ If you're sure PAC is working, add speed and dive.
