Use the auto. Hit it before you descend for the drop. As soon as the cargo hits the ground and the weight is off the cable it unhooks. Just be gentle.

You want to follow best practices and procedures, but any sort of "standard" way is often overruled by airfield requirements. Check the ATIS. ;) :pilotfly:

Some updates are going to break mods. They also break modules, maps, campaigns, etc. This is the way it is. Accept it and move on.

I have not setup all aircraft at all airfields, but all that I have setup work.

This aircraft should shine after the new damage model is in, and it gets more ground attack weapons. It's better armored and has a radial engine, so it won't be as vulnerable. The same way the P-47 will be better than the Mustang at surviving Ground attack missions. You would not have seen a D9 or the 109-K4 defending against the Normandy invasion because they were not in the field then, and both models were intended more for A2A.

They have both NV and IR views from the binoculars just like JTAC vehicles.

Both the igla and stinger soldier units have full JTAC functionality.

It is available in the Open Beta branch. It might have a little Tigershark DNA left in it. Northrop started working with Pakistan on it, based on that design, but when they left the project China stepped in.

The difficulty comes from not understanding what's going on and how to compensate for it initially. Seat time and practice is all that's needed. The narrow gear and torque forces push it over onto the wing tip when landing. With proper speed, trim , and technique, it's not that hard to figure out. Everyone struggles with it the first time. :holiday:

Good thoughts on the cpu. Even a recent gen I5 will do. The fastest 32GB of RAM you can stomach. You can get by on 16 now but maybe not much longer. SSD is essential. A GFX card with at least 8GB of the fastest VRAM, which you'll only find on a high end card. Search: GPU Hierarchy I haven't built an AMD rig in years but a 3800x/3700x + RX-5700-XT looks like a lot of bang for the buck.

I wouldn't call it drama. Just a discussion. It's a work of art in my opinion. In functionality as well as looks. It captures a "seat of the pants" feeling better than just about anything in DCS. Anyone avoiding it is just missing out. If they had made it showroom clean we would have the same discussion, if not louder. It's all good.

1. Don't install DCS under the program files folder. 2. Like someone already said, open the entire DCS folder to all users with an admin login.

We're still finding civil war ordnance from the 1860's. A few years ago a guy was restoring a 75 pound ball he thought was enert when it blew up. :doh: Dangerous stuff.
