Early Access... Sorted.

The asset pack has some really good stuff with more on the way, but there are scripts around that can add flak without it. Do a search. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/683612/ https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=188240

The Skymaster would make a fine addition to DCS. So would the Skyraider, Bronco, or Supertweet. A bit surprised it's not the Pucara, considering the other things under development.

You didn't try hard enough. It works in general but, length, number of players, and extreme situations, cause problems. Tacview in addition to a track improves your chances of being able to go back and see what happened.
-
Have you tried with auto flaps off?
-
Are you hitting it in the tail? I've noticed tail pipe hits are not as effective as airframe hits on several aircraft. F-5, Sabre, and MiG-15 all come to mind.

A couple of check boxes in settings control if SRS is going to use in cockpit switches or the SRS hotkeys for the A10C.
-
The 4 .wav files that are in the install package need to be placed inside a folder named AudioEffects inside the folder where SRS is installed.

In the ME the max is listed @ 20611 lbs The heaviest loadout I can find for it is 19678 lbs with 4 bags and 2 heaters. It lands fine at that weight. You know your heavy but it's very doable.

It works the same way for me. I think overall range is the same, but if you mean the range it will lock a target, you might be correct. The bug not allowing the SS forward to put you in IRMV was patched. Are you sure you have the latest OB? http://update.eagle.ru/

There are check boxes in settings for how you want to control the radios. If you choose SRS Hot key override, then the same Hot keys you added inside SRS will work for all aircraft. If you choose DCS native controls then the radios will use the in cockpit/HOTAS controls that you setup inside DCS. With this option you will have different controls for each aircraft.

On Blue Flag, when a recon aircraft scans a zone (done through a script fired from an F10 menu) the units in that zone become exposed on the F10 map to anyone in a CA (JTAC) slot. It might be possible?
-
I don't think the SRS keyboard override setting is working in the A10C. If I don't use the HOTAS control I don't have radios regardless of the settings.

Can't see/join certain server(s) since 2.5 is released
Paganus replied to QuiGon's topic in Multiplayer Bugs
Sounds almost like your DCS is confused about which version it is at. At the moment only the Caucasus server is @ 17559. If you can't see it, but can see and join the others, you are on an older version. Have you tried a Repair or running the updater again? -
Welcome to DCS 1. Buy what you want to try. Just don't buy FC3 level planes if you want clickable pits. 2. The Tf-51 is comparable to the other WW2 birds, and maybe the F-86/MiG-15. Each later generation aircraft becomes more complex, meaning more things to click. 3. Sorry no VR here. 4. The USB port your mouse is on maybe "sharing" space with your flight gear. You can try moving things around, but keep in mind that could screw up your existing control schemes. 5. There are MP servers that have the TF-51 available. Blue Flag makes excellent use of it for recon/transport. I'm sure others do as well. When looking at a server in the server browser, the available aircraft are listed. 6. Nevada is stunning. It has a very different vibe. 7. The only currently functional 2 seat jet is the L-39. If you become interested in Helo's, there is the Gazelle. Others should become available in the future. 8. This depends entirely on the mission builder, and ones personal preference. After you start an aircraft for the 500th time, even you might want to use the auto start cheat once in a while.

Just bought WWII Assets Pack & Normandy
Paganus replied to Baby Daddy's topic in DCS: WWII Assets Pack
The asset pack is AI. They can be placed into missions and carry out assigned movement and tasking. You can see them do this on the map and in the 3D world, settings permitting. With Combined Arms you can issue them orders from the F10 map. You can not enter the unit inside the 3D world as you can with some of the modern units. I guess that makes them partially Combined arms, compatible at this time. The planes you fly are modules you buy. -
This is a great idea 9_ I'm interested in sounds. sometimes our DCS warbirds give me the feel of a new car. Not a lot of rattles, or squeaks. In the real thing, do you hear much external noise or are the engines so load you cant? Like when you approach the edge of the flight envelope and you pickup vibrations, do you hear rattles pings, pops? What is the scariest sound he's heard while operating a warbird?

A late model Tempest would fit the current plane set. They might help beat back the 262's when they take to the DCS sky.

Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - ROUND 9
Paganus replied to gregzagk's topic in Multiplayer
At Gelendzhik, there is an Su-25T (005 I think) that is not in a numbered spot, it is just ground. DCS crashes when I try to fly that plane. -
You can fly it with a twist stick. Many people do. It's nice to have pedals though. I feel they improve the experience. Likewise, the hat works fine for view changing. There is both a scaled mode and a snap, so you can choose what works best for you. I think most people would say a tracker improves the experience, and full VR takes it up to another level, but neither are required to enjoy it.

Post logs from user/saved games. If repair isn't on the start menu you can run it from ***\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\ like this: DCS_updater.exe repair

It's not a question of his/yours/my priority. The sim is and will always be run across a spectrum of hardware that changes over time. The older/less powerful/slower it is the more you will compromise to make it run smoothly. As time passes the specs rise. This has always been the case. The PC I first played DCS World on can no longer run it, and I wouldn't expect or want it to.
