  1. I haven´t followed this thread very closely, so it seems I missed the part of the discussion that led to it first being exiled and then modified. On the other hand I have seen this kind of discussion/tantrum going down more than once before. What I would like to say is: No matter how long you work on something, there is always going to be someone who will dislike it and will not hesitate to express his thoughts. There will always be a certain percentage of posts like this, and while they are not very nice and often based on incomplete information, they should not have such a strong effect. I would find it very sad if in the end such developments affect developers themselves to the point where they hold back content just because they, understandably, want to avoid those unnecessary confrontations. @HiJack: true...
  2. Beautiful skin No time to eject, Ka50 vs. Ka50 2x FW190 vs. 1x P51 online Shadowing a 109 Closer Emergency landing after engine failure at low altitude Low level flying in 109 Another emergency ...that ended well
  3. I´m so stoked now to check out those valleys and clouds online with a couple of buddies. Love the screenshots, especially the one with the Su-27. Some "muggle" I showed the images thought they came from an Antarctica map, but I think the colors look really nice, night lighting is awesome. Nevada looks just great, in spite of what others might be saying. Full speed ahead!
  4. While the calvinists just keep slaving away unchanged...
  5. So the Mig-15 wil be either Q1 or Q2? Fair enough. Great newsletter. EDGE ho!
  6. That´s indeed one hell of a tease. I trust we will all survive long enough until EDGE/DCSW2.0 finally sses the light of day, whenever that may be... :)
  7. I´m there with you, really hoping that the release is not gonna be postponed again, but how do they say - hope for the best, prepare for the worst. ;)
  8. Thx for sharing them, Nirvi. I didn´t see them on FB...
  9. I find that hard to believe. Getting there is pretty much a 24/7 job. :D
  10. Look up the last post from Wags on the subject. It's only a few days old. ;)
  11. +1 That´s what I´m thinking, too. Why else would ED have introduced anything like the dynamic weather in the first place?! With more diverse graphical representations of clouds in the tube for 2.0 we´ve probably seen just the beginning of what´s possible.
  12. DCS World can already do this, although in the ME it is limited in such a way that you do not have access to as many specific parameters as you do in ARMA 3. You set the conditions indirectly by defining pressure zones across the map. DCS features dynamic weather with different seasonal weather conditions, that continue to develop dynamically according to atmospheric modelling (which sadly does not yet include moisture). All ARMA 3 has is a set of starting conditions and a desried change over time for all those parameters. Also I have yet to see how you can set climates for different zones on a map. But I agree in so far as it is more intuitive to set up your desired weather conditions in detail with the system that ARMA 3 uses. Or are you thinking of some system that allows you to change weather conditions during the mission?
  13. Nice update!
  14. In the most current version the pylon for 6x FAB-100 is missing the proper texture. This was observed by more than one client in MP.

    Stats!

Having this as an official feature in DCS, also for SP, perhaps as part of an expanded Logbook, would be very nice. Is this perhaps part of the "many changes" coming with 2.0? The mods for for MP that allow you to track your stats are actually a nice feature. +1
  16. For a "first attempt" and "early WIP", I think it looks outstanding. I think the look of the map is very much defined by the kind of textures and assets they put into the game, not so much by EDGE, shaders and post-processing which should be rather subtle, given the nature of DCS. And if you look at the images before color correction etc. for example, the difference is quite noticeable. The road patterns of Las Vegas in the screenshot of the editor map -> there is parctically no noticeable repetition in the details.
  17. As long as the actual "NAS-cars" will be added, I´ll gladly take it. :D
  18. Just saw it on FB. Great, love it!
  19. No idea, I´m taking the turnoff to the freak kingdom.
  20. The area depicted in yesterday´s overview is also considerably bigger than the one from the Oct. 2013 screenshot. It seems like we´re getting much more of the Grand Canyon, Arizona, Utah, California and all the no man´s land in between. Gotta love that! http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=106479&d=1414607560 http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=89321&d=1381511893
  21. That was one nice update/newsletter. Glad to see that some major steps have been completed and that we may still get it this year as announced. Patience is getting ever harder to come by, especially since the weather is turning bad. Lots of great projects going on.
  22. Wonderful, I appreciate your update! Thx
  23. +1 It would seem that someone did in fact end up with his foot in his mouth... I´m gonna spare you my (unconstructive end user) thoughts on this subject...
  24. Welcome to the asylum.
