  1. Oh, why did you have to choose November? That´s when Fallout 4 will be released... Guess I´ll have to take my remaining holiday for this year in November.
  2. Hooray! It´s finally happening, I can´t believe it. Will have to get back to training DCS now... :D
  3. +1 I´m not sure, since I didn´t get anywhere near critical temperatures in the Huey recently and I don´t recall if it ever was in any patch notes. I think you´re right. So many other modules feature this. It´s not just a detail. IF... Still, you can see that they are fleshing out their modules in the long run. Probably they are more directly involved in the development of new technologies for DSCW (with them being a partner and not a 3rd party) so bugfixing and individual features are further down the list at the moment. Just guessing, not trying to be apologetic... They could release a statement on that - I wouldn´t mind :)
  4. They do take some time to get around to it, but so far I think they have adressed all the issues brought up with regard to their modules, be it in a patch or a comment. I do not remember the details right now, but I think it´s a little more complicated than this one date from an old post on their website. Weren´t there issues with the data and what version they could / should model some while ago?
  5. Wags mentioned them at least once in January of 2013 when he released his DCSW overview on YT. The list he gave there ist still very much in line with the actual modules released / announced to this date: (@ 1:10) The Su-27SM became the Su-27S. Don´t forget the OH-58 ^^
  6. Probably because it´s very hard / impossible for a studio such as ED to get all the features of this huge project done on one specific date. It would seem to me that the engine and NTTR are just 2 (larger) points on a list. This is becoming very clear I believe when you look at the way Wags is talking about the planned features in his videos and the way in which DCS has been expanded and improved since the initial release of the Ka-50. You are right, though: It´s been suggested in the past that DCSW / NTTR / etc. would be close to release, but never before have we had such beautiful video footage and extensive commentary on its status by an official representative of ED ;)
  7. Additionally, you also have ground effect over rooftops. Another nice detail one might want to consider when taking cover and maneuvering around buildings. ;)
  8. Nice video
  9. Lol, funny electronic music from the 90s. I actually liked stuff like this back then, but it´s really hard to listen to today. It requires a certain mindset. Something more recent, I think she´s from Moscow:
  10. Yeah, I´m very happy with it, too.
  11. Thanks for the updates! You guys are doing some nice art work on your helos.
  12. Hi, I deactivated some videos on my YouTube account some time ago and, along with that, the preview videos. Currently I´m not working on anything related to this, but perhaps I´ll make aome of them available again. (There is a lot of stuff in there that I don´t like anymore because I use another setup for my audio now.) A version with separate parts might be possible, if I find the time to work on this again. Thanks.
  13. Serial #: 0851 Location: NRW, Germany
  14. Thx for sharing
  15. I thinks Wags was trying to click as fast as he could so we don´t notice. All other indications to the F-5E being a real thing were removed this time.
  16. There is currently a slideshow with many new HD screenshots of DCSW2/NTTR on Matt´s twitch channel. http://www.twitch.tv/wagmatt These are some of the images: (There´s the F-15 afterburner)
  17. My question would be if you have any concrete plans to add new rain/icing/condensation effects to the canopies with DCSW2 ? Basically, this also relates to the question about the weather engine posted earlier: IIRC The MiG-21 and the C-101 have it listed in the product description as a feature so far.
  18. I can´t wait to see more. This is very good news.
  19. +1  I´m a very lucky person, since the 3 aircraft I would have voted to have in DCS are the F-18C, the Fw-190D9 and the F-5E (if real).
  20. I didn´t notice this before. Thx for pointing it out.
  21. Load times looked pretty nice in DSCW2
  22. I was very satisfied with the stream, but it makes me want to sink my teeth into it even more. The engine seems to allow for many nice details that I do appreciate very much. Time to go to sleep and have a dream of the NTTR, perhaps...
  23. Big thumbs-up for the stream! There were many nice details to discover on the side and EDGE simply looks great.
  24. Hey, yeah. I remember that project. Sure, I´ll check it out. Thx
  25. I´m still learning, so I don´t have any real experience with complex problems, but I know that functionality from Java (Eclipse). The compiler we used for learning C++ did not have it, but that was probably intentional. Knowing that DCS is written in this language makes me want to see some code even more, just to try and make some sense of it, but I guess that won´t ever happen :D
