Nothing beats a good multiplayer session with many different human player aircraft in the mission. Always fun to watch low flybys of the MiG-21 from the Huey´s cockpit...
Das wird oft verwechselt. ED ist in dieser Hinsicht eigentlich besser als sein Ruf, vor allem wenn man sieht, wieviel sich in den letzten Jahren getan hat.
A little snipped from the russian forum, a bit out of context.

All models are updated depending on the graphics engine. In the course of development. Once the converted - will be inserted into the game.
Hi,
it seems that because of performance issues they are no longer being rendered when inside the cockpit.

Epic! A dream come true! Thanks for sharing and thanks to ED, BST or whoever is reponsible for implementing this!
I checked for this not long ago, but it didn´t work at the time. Have to try this out...
Is it negativity or the fact that every estimate up to this point has proven to be wrong? I don´t mean to bicker or complain, but that´s the way it is.
To end on a different note - in the latest video, I really love how low-level flying looks and the immense amount of detail that has been put into 3D models.
EDGE is only showing half of it´s potential in a barren landscape like NTTR or the Strait of Hormuz.
I´m really dying to see how EDGE will render more temperate zones with green forests and rolling hills such as you would find on a channel map for example.
The promo videos for commercial products featuring earlier versions of EDGE were quite impressive.
Noob question(s):
How does he get to produce all this media or is his gallery just a smoke screen made with images that were taken taken from other sites?
I find it a wee bit strange that he claims to have screenshots from DCSW2/EDGE or are those just false claims? They must be.
How does someone even get the material to "rip off"? I think software companies would do anything in their power to protect their intellectual property from access by any unwanted 3rd persons.
Never heard of this guy before...
+1
It´s not a surprise, just confirmed what has been said in a more cautious tone after the heady outlooks late last year. Made me laugh though. This has been dragging on for so long...
I remember when suggestive posts made me and others believe it might be there in a short time more than once before. Look where we are now: "2015 - most likely". Unless this is some epic trolling, the best thing is just to move on to other things. At least for the time being...
Nice to read, thx for the update.
I especially love the improvements for simulation mode regarding engine damage, ground steering etc. The first time I read it had been simplified, it made me a little sad.
I´m just wondering if DCSW 2 is also going to introduce new cloud features that would allow for a more fluid transition between cloud layers and ground fog. Currently, there is still a noticeable gap/transition because of highest fog and lowest could setting.
Just got the idea whilst lookiung at a few screenshots from P3D v2, where some clouds are hanging very low on the slopes of some hills.
