  1. See if this helps... https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4269827&postcount=7 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Which detent did you order? There are a lot of options. This one has a single push through "bump" (it is what I was using with my WH Throttle) https://www.shapeways.com/product/3MJPNE2SV/warthog-throttle-part-afterburner-detent You still need to tweak the curves on each module to find the sweet spot where the AB kicks in. It is not in the same place module to module.
  3. According to the last couple of posts in the Virpil forum, measurements are needed by the mod creator for the CM2. https://forum.virpil.com/index.php?/topic/1508-finger-lift-mod-for-the-mt-50-throttle/
  4. See if this posts help. Key thing to remember: 1. DCS references the total space used by your monitors (horizontally and vertically based on how you align them in Windows). 2. Your in-game DCS resolution has to equal the space used by the monitors (whether they are using it as display space or not) https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4269827&postcount=7
  5. I used CH Pro Pedals (gameport and then USB for 15+ years). I eventually got a set of TM RCS (upgraded with a digital sensor), and then VKB MkIV. After discovering that I can't live without toe brakes, I got Crosswinds. The MFG Crosswinds are amazing. I have never seen a negative review.

  9. Good choices. Another advantage of a used 1080ti is 11Gb of RAM. I am not sure if anyone has run specific tests, but More onboard RAM may be of benefit if the relative GPU performance is the same. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. If you can get used with a return policy I don’t see any harm in it. Personally I would look for parts that are not easily/typically abused. For example Ryzen 2600x owners upgraded to the 3000 series not long after the 2000 series came out. Also all the Ryzen chips bin/overclock roughly the same under air or water coolers. People are not abusing them or burning them up. You can find crazy good deals. Toss in 32Gb of 3200-3600 RAM (make sure it is certified to run those speeds on Ryzen) on a good B450 motherboard, you will have a hell of an upgrade to go with your 1080. 11. You can export most of the screens in game to a second or third monitor just by editing DCS files. No special software needed. You can build screens to go inside of the TM MFDs, or you can Velcro/tape them to a small monitor. I am using 2x Eyoyo 8 Inch HDMI Monitor 1024x768. Prior to that I used a single 12inch Eyoyo monitor. If you search these forums you will find lots of options. Just search for “MFD export”. Here is a post (not mine) where another player did the same thing I did with 2 screens. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=207434 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. For mounting you can get something like the “Wheelsrand Pro”, or build your own for much less. https://wheelstandpro.us/wheel-stand-pro-super-warthog-wheel-stand-for-your-thrustmaster-hotas-warthog-and-saitek-pedals-pedals-mouse-keyboard-throttles-not-included/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Here is what the button screen looks like on my system (T-50/WH or Hornet). The trim/POV buttons stay active while pressed.
  15. DCS doesn’t have a “dynamic” campaign yet. Some very clever mission builders and multiplayer server admins have done amazing work getting close. Check out the “Missions and Campaign” section of these forums. You will find a variety of options with feedback from users. That should give you an idea of what is available. If you haven’t already download and install DCS and fly the free SU-25T or TF-51D. You can then download and sample missions and campaigns to see if you like what is available before investing in a module. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. DCS is a study sim. You have the basics of flying down (which is a huge part of the learning curve), and now you are at the point where you have to study more complex systems than are found in the WWI/WWII simulated planes you are used to if you are going to invest in DCS. That being said, the best advice I can give you is to buy a DCS plane (or set of planes if you go with Flaming Cliffs 3 bundle) that you are the most interested in learning. You will spend a lot of time with each DCS module becoming competent. You will quickly be able to do basic things, and it is possible to be proficient in every module with enough time and muscle memory. True mastery of the more complex systems is a long term process. A typical full DCS mission will involve the following workflow (FC3 planes are simplified in this regard and a lot like IL2:BoX): 1. Order the ground crew to arming/fuel your plane (if it isn't already armed and fueled) 2. Order the ground crew to apply external power and/or air supplies (if required) 3. Engine Startup (applying power, and fuel) 4. Avionics Startup (radios, screens, systems, INS alignment, lights, etc.) 5. Disconnect external power and/or air supply (if required by step 2) 6. Taxi, Take-Off, fly mission, and return 7. Rearm/Refuel or shutdown Once you learn one module, the rest are easier, because the workflows are the same. You just have to learn different cockpit layouts and air-frame specific procedures. For carrier ops you need a carrier capable plane... Full Fidelity (clickable cockpit) carrier planes in DCS: F/A-18C F-14B (the F-14A is still in development but comes with the B when you buy it) AV-8B Harrier (VSTOL operations) Flaming Cliffs 3(non-clickable cockpits similar to IL2:BoX)carrier planes in DCS: Su-33
  17. VPC Flight Extension ‘S’ I have the S-Curve and it is fine with the heavier WH/F18 grips from TM on a T-50 base with medium or hard springs. There is a slight forward tilt at the top that keeps the center of gravity from shifting too far back. I have it center mounted and it is 200mm of extension with no adjustment (single solid tube). Also you must remove the two small Allen screws holding the female mini-din connector at the top so that there is clearance and it can rotate with the TM grips. Otherwise you risk damaging something if you want to put a slight rotation in the grip for comfort. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Best place is likely the HOTAS discord. It has a JG channel, and the developer is very active there. https://discord.gg/szqaJE7 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Have you looked into Joystick Gremlin as a CH manager replacement? The "Chain" or "Double Tap" function might be what you are looking for... https://whitemagic.github.io/JoystickGremlin/interface/ Chain: This container holds several independent groups of actions. Each time the physical action with which this container is associated the next action group is executed. When the last group in the chain is reached the first group is executed again. Additionally, a timeout can be set after which the chain is reset to the first entry. Double Tap: This container holds two groups of actions, the first group is executed on a single button press while the second one is executed on a double press. The Double tap delay allows the modify the double tap speed, while Single / Double tap configures whether the single tap action is active together with the doble tap action or not. In the exclusive mode, the single tap action will be executed with a delay corresponding to the double tap delay.
  20. It might just be a connector that didn’t get plugged in when they assembled it. There are pics on the Virpil forum showing disassembly to repair a broken wire. Up to you whether you want to try self repair. https://forum.virpil.com/index.php?/topic/1269-vfx-grip-weapon-selector-press-suddenly-not-responding/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Maybe this is what you are looking for? https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3056704&postcount=21
  22. It was put on my T-50 day 1. I don't think the grip receives code from the software. It should just work. I suspect there may be a loose connection in your VFX, but Virpil support is your best bet.
  23. For what it's worth I just tested on my WH base, and my VFX buttons work. So it is compatible.
  24. The vast majority of throttles sold over the last couple of decades didn’t have detents. Those that did/do were not sold in great numbers. CH Pro Throttle - no detent Saitek X55/56 - no detent TM TWCS - no detent * Logitech G940 - no detents (it kind of had them, but they failed within days/weeks of use) * Virpil T-50 V3 - no detent * *Virpil T-50CM2 - no detent * Saitek X55F - detent TM Cougar/TQS - detent TM Warthog - detent * Virpil T-50 V1/V2 - detent * not sold in large numbers ** will be sold in greater numbers over time assuming another design doesn’t replace it. With the exception of the short lived Virpil V1/V2, only TM or a relatively few X65f owners who ponied up the cash for the high end kit got to play with detents. While it is disappointing that detents were removed from the newer design, that is an odd line to draw writing off arguably one of the best options offered to flight simmers. All is not lost...The Hornet and Viper use mappable throttle lifts, and you can create a virtual detent for other jets in the Virpil software. Mine is mapped to the shift key at 79.5% which is perfect for the F-14. My left hand still executes an action (button press vs lifting/pushing through on my modded WH) to effect a detent. Personally I lost a little and gained a lot more functionality across the board upgrading to the CM2. I now have 8 axes (6 physical and 2 virtual) with zoom literally at my finger tips. I finally have radar elevation and range which has been missing since upgrading from a TM cougar years ago. The additional 5way hats are icing on the cake filling in even more gaps in DCS while only sacrificing physical detents. In addition 3D printable plans for finger lift detents already exist for the Virpil V3, and it is likely only a matter of time before the same option exists for the CM2 (it might already exist and I just missed it). So it will likely be possible to have your cake and eat it too. Cheers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. In short it’s amazing. Coming from a Warthog it is a big step up. While not perfect, it’s darn close. User overview: Virtual Detents (since the physical were removed...best channel for Virpil software tutorials) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
