  1. Just to be clear, the Laser is not visible, while the InfraRed Pointer can be seen through the NVG. Don't say 'laser' when you mean the 'IR pointer'.
  2. Yep, I turn off Civ Traffic in Options -> System, too, on the development machine that I save the mission file on. That option for Civ Traffic is also set to Off on the server (and I think I had to). But Civ Traffic is Off in my server's MP missions.

I have heard that if one computer can make the Internet connection and be set up as a proxy for the others on a LAN then it would work, but I have not done this -- I asked about the same thing awhile back because we were all going to a remote place without Internet. If you can have a cell phone set up as a Internet Hot Spot for one computer on the LAN, that was the solution, I think. Then all the other player computers could get the Internet for DCS authorization through that one computer proxy. I don't know how to make this work, though.
  4. You know where you want it to spawn. Go into a mission and press LCntrl-Y, Info Bar Toggle, and it will cycle through the coordinate systems. Cheers from Colorado!
  5. That's great there's a work-around for this problem. Problem is I don't like doing work-arounds that have to be re-applied after every patch - I have four systems to apply updates to, so I stick to the vanilla released version. The problem needs to be fixed in the release.

ROE: Return Fire; the public is being told we are in Weapons Hold, but you ARE authorized to defend the reconnaissance flight. Do not fire unless first fired upon.   11. Wow, I never had a problem with the a/c taxiing forward into the vehicle. In the mission GRADEX (on my site) there is a vehicle group in front of an a/c - when it comes time for the a/c to take off it starts engines and a bit later the vehicle group gets disabled and a clone of it activates with a path to take it out of the way of the a/c. I seem to recall in the very early days, a C-130 sitting at the corner of the taxiway and spooling its engines up and down while I cold-started my Hawg. ??
  12. There is no way to have a Player/Client take the place of another aircraft. A Client can only spawn at the location set in the mission editor. If there is something in that location on spawn there will be damage/death to the Client.
  13. Yes, park a jeep or truck in front of the a/c so it will stay put. Stay, a/c, stay! Sit!
  14. Yes! I just tested it in multiplayer for a Red TC and a Blue Observer/JTAC and both have their Briefing.
  15. That ^^^ is primarily why I use Mist. Variations of this simple script are quite useful. I DO AGREE with you feefifofum - it would be a lot simpler than having to code it ourselves, like below: mist.flagFunc.units_in_zones{ units = {'[blue][plane]'}, zones = {'Test Zone'}, flag = 50107, zone_type = 'cylinder', }

  18. That's good control, but in this case it will be Client a/c that the F-5Es are supposed to go after. I really did need something to get the F-5s to ignore the AWACS.
  19. I have not seen an AI aircraft hook up to a tanker; they will go to the nearest airbase, and if their landing base is full they will land elsewhere. You're right, why would you need to order a default? The manual description is pretty clear. But it is just that you have to test every action that is significant to your mission story. I had a situation the other day where F-5E's were heading up the coast instead of out to targets, because there was an AWACS in the mission and the F-5E's wanted to kill it FIRST; after making the AWACS Invisible the problem was solved. Use LCntrl-Z a few/lots times to speed up the action, and LShft-Z to reset.
  20. Try tasking the AI with Fighter Sweep or CAP. With that type of tasking the AI fighter should be aggressive on its own. But you can manipulate the ROE to get it to do what you want. If bombers bug out on a challenge you can set their Reaction To Threat = Passive.
  21. 1. There is a Triggered Action for RTB On Bingo Fuel. I looked briefly for a world.event that had something to do with low fuel but did not see anything (see the second post in this thread). For tankers, I keep one up in an orbit, they last about 5 hours, and then I will launch another, or upon the death of the first one :-) I wish there was a way to see how much fuel was left in an aircraft in F2 View on the status bar at the bottom of the screen. I would think there has to be a way to get that from unit attributes... 2. Don't know.
  22. It is my understanding that Static Objects will not trigger an action (maybe a script will detect a destroyed Static Object). If you intend something to be destroyed in order to be a Condition to an event then you will need regular AAA units to use regular events. I still don't think you need the overlapping harbor zones, that is redundant. You have the recon zones that are corresponding to the flak units, are you using these recon zones? Seems to me you'd want the flak to fire when the enemy is in the recon zone above the flak. Maybe I'm not reading it right... :-) You are doing well with your English!   23. You need a Triggered Action for the AI group to turn on it's ROE. Start it off set to Green and when the Player gets w/in the moving zone do an AI Task Push Action to run the Triggered Action. Other Triggered Actions could be to search and engage, depending upon the group's Task.
