  1. Check the panel for your Client/Player aircraft -- is the Late Activation checkbox checked? If it is, uncheck it. Or, the Start Time of that a/c is not the same as the Briefing screen Start Time. WC
  2. It is the IR Pointer that I was referring to. Of the two, IR Pointer and Laser, the Laser is often mentioned when meaning the IR Pointer. WC
  3. No, the Pointer is not visible in the TGP -- you can only see it with NVGs. It is a lot of fun on night missions with multiple players. One pilot can act as a designator and point out a target or suspicious area. A ground JTAC or Tactical Commander in Combined Arms can also use their IR Pointer at night to designate for pilots. The Pointer is range-limited, to about 4,000 m I think. At this limit the beam just stops, but it is still pointing to the target. The Laser, OTOH, is used to guide GBU-10s and -12s. Another pilot or ground guy can lase a target for your bombs. I recommend that the ground guy give you the coordinates to enter into your CDU and that you approach the target from the same direction as the ground guy's laser direction, and you should be able to drop and hit the target. 4. I so totally agree with the posters about getting the A-10C module -- it and the Thrustmaster Warthog were made for each other. Here's an old post of mine at SimHQ about setting up the axis curves -- I still use these for the Hog. Pass The Grey Poupon Also, there are some panels in the A-10C Flight Manual, Pages 88-92, that give the switch functions. I copied the info into Excel and printed out the panels for TMS, DMS and China Hat and have had those in front of me for a few years now. I do use my Warthog for the F-15C, Huey and Hawk. My stick's Paddle Switch is my modifier and with that I added additional functions for views, zoom, gear, NVGs and other stuff. WC
  5. What mwd2 said ^^^ above. You don't need to use such a large range of 0-99 (or 1-100, either will work). Just use 0-9 (or 1-10). Set a random flag with a Mission Start event, like: Random Flag 10, Min 1 Max 10 Then make all of your groups on the map, place them where you want and set them to Late Activation. Make as many groups as you want. Then make ten Once events to use the random Flag 10 with condition Flag 10 = x, where x is 1-10. In Actions, add Group Activate for all those groups you want to have going with each value of Flag 10. Then you will have ten of these instead of a hundred. WC
  6. Yes to your question. I try to do all my Witchcraft locating before adding Client aircraft, but this latest example comes from a mission that I had copied over to a new one. Whenever I see this, I go back to the weapons page for each a/c and reset the loadout. All works fine after that. I get it about waiting for EDGE. Thanks for Witchcraft. WC
  7. When I run Witchcraft after aircraft are added to the mission, I have seen where the weapons on the aircraft are shifted on their pylons. Here is an example from a Hawk -- that gun pod should be on the centerline. This has also happened with A-10Cs -- weapons shifting after Witchcraft. WC
  8. If you look at my Southern Storm mission, you can see how I detect that AI cargo planes have landed and stopped. Go to the link in my sig to find the mission. WC
  9. To get the opposite direction, add 200 and subtract 20, or subtract 200 and add 20. 026 + 200 - 20 = 206° Now you can easily add 90° for 296°. 206 - 200 + 20 = 26° WC
  10. Thanks, Grimes, CAS did the trick.
  11. 1. I'm setting up the L-39ZA Albatros for air-to-air and can load it for CAP Task. I can set an Advanced Waypoint Action for Search Then Engage which is limited to aircraft; other options are Engage In Zone, Group & Unit -- but only aircraft types. Will the L-39ZA get air-to-air missile weapons? 2. Setting the L-39ZA for Ground Attack Task I can load rockets and bombs, but am limited to Advanced Waypoint Actions of Attack Map Object or Bombing. Will the Actions of Engage Group and Unit become available to attack vehicle groups? WC
  12. My latest mission Hueys & Hawks: El Paso is posted to Wrecking Crew Projects. Hueys are paired with Hawks to protect a Blue convoy going through a narrow pass between Novorossiysk and Krymsk. Red outposts are obstructing the highway and must be taken out before the Blue trucks get stitched. The pass in El Paso offers a great canyon to fly the Hawk through, but there is an Igla that pops up somewhere along the way. Given the current SFM state of the Hawk, this new mission has Unlimited Weapons set to On. I tried my best to hit stuff with the gun pod but was running out of ammo and having to RTB frequently to get more; turning on the Unlimited really did change the experience to F-U-N for me. You may download the mission for free from Wrecking Crew Projects and modify and host it, so if you want the Unlimited to be Off that is fine! I hope you enjoy this mission. I'm planning another that will pair the Huey and Hawk. WC
  13. Been getting some client side disconnects recently. A server crash happened last night. Logs, mission and track is attached in the zip. WC
  14. Wrecking Crew Projects And to you, too! Welcome aboard! WC
  15. Hello, The new 'Pointe & Shoot' mission is available at my Wrecking Crew Projects site. This mission pits Combined Arms players against each other as Red advances toward Min-Vody Airbase. Blue must defend the base with their own armor and Stryker JTACs, and has lots of air power to bring to the battle. Pointe & Shoot Blue Air COOP: A-10C, Hawk, C-101EB, Ka-50, Mi-8MTV2, UH-1H; Combined Arms F10 All, Start 2000 04 AUG --- Summary Blue JTACs must spot Red convoys attacking Min-Vody Airbase. Min-Vody has little Blue defense so if Red can penetrate the perimeter they will capture the airbase. Blue intelligence agents will notify our forces when Red vehicles cross highway checkpoints. Sunset at 20:14 I hope you enjoy this new mission! Wrecking Crew Projects WC
  16. THANK YOU, Crom! I'm posting Pointe & Shoot on my Wrecking Crew Projects site today. --- Thanks, HomeFries, Good work-around. WC
  17. Done http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2430508#post2430508 WC
  18. Add Red & Blue Bullseyes To Kneeboards http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=140205 WC
  19. Ahh, so you are using a convention where the Bullseye is placed at Waypoint 1. Is there any marker on the Kneeboard for the Bullseye, itself, if it is located elsewhere? I can have a lot of flights in a mission, where each will have different paths. WC
  20. How did you set up the event? Try this -- Make a Once type event Condition of Time More (2) and Group Alive (your Fw190 Group Name) Action of the Master Arms Switch You might want to add to the Action a Message To All as a test. Also, to test, make the Time More like 5-10 seconds so you can see it happen after starting the mission. WC
  21. About 7°. I did an experiment where I put a flight path in at the ME's 0, 90, 270 headings and noticed a 7° difference. WC
  22. Check the Vulcans And Sharks mission on my Wrecking Crew Projects site. Let me know if you have questions :) Also: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=132968 http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=132956 WC
  23. I use Slmod on the Hollo Pointe server and it works well for these functions -- admin commands to load and restart missions, kick and ban. The kick and ban can be done by an admin from the text chat by player name or by their Slmod ID #. Slmod also captures all the text chat so you can review what was typed. The DCS net log will capture UID and IP which is what you need to manually add a player to the ban list. I will share my ban list privately to server operators; it includes the reason why an entry was added. Slmod also has automated kick and ban. I've not used Servman... WC
