I thought it was going all the way up and i was getting away to bind stuff i don't have on my HOTAS. I was able to bind it on one slider, but now gotta find where to bind wheel breake :P I'll check my my CH Pro PEdals toe break works now, used to be an issue.

I might sound stupid, but what'S the difference between full A/B by clicking the finger lifts and not clicking anything just pushing my throttle all the way up and having 10 ft of flame coming out my nozzles?

Humm maybe the fact it's a Naval aircraft, which needs Nose Wheel to turn fast to go around in small areas on a Carrier? And it's DCS each of use Rudders and brand act different, same goes with Joysticks, that is why they implements Curves in setting, to suit our behavior. At least, i think :) Once you play around with your settings all goes well. Remember there is a diffrence between computer rudders with plastic cheap compontents that generates your input, versus systems in a 32.5 million $ aircraft.

So i guess the no video thing is to make sure you have no eye witnesses to kill in caes off huh? :P

I personaly get that message to show when i start playing around with the A/P

I did notice it also, only thing i see so far is the LEX vortices. Haven'T flown yet passed passed 24,000 to see if i get contrails though.

Settings he quoted are the same i've also found from Natops A1-F18AC-NFM-000 Manual P. 351, so i'd say they might knew it when they edited it. And works perfectly for me, hands off launch.

Yeah... i should have read this thread before running the Startup Training tutorial, i was swearing so much cuz it wans'T continuing, then realised clicking and holding with mosue wasn'T working and needed key touch pressed :P

This post is old, but this image would had made a nice ALT wallpaper for the Hornet package in DCS :) It'S sexy and romantic, since we all felt in love with the beauty even before it showed up. :)

I am not expert, but pretty much possible, as my screen wallpaper on my 2 screens for many many years are a Legacy Hornet on a Carrier deck chained down with wing folded and a missile on lest side. I was surprised when i seen this so made something out to be my screensaver :)

To be honest, i am not interested in any FC3 aircrafts, i want clickable cockpit aircrafts with lots of detailed system implemented, specialy in VR, this makes me realise i'm in DCS and not Battlefield and second, got to say i am not interested in most Eropeen or Russian aircrafts as, i grown with north american aicraft so as a child in the 80's my passion for aircrafts started seing most of those. :( So yeah i might had missed quite a few effect applied to those since i only flew the FCS3 when i bought the module about 4 years ago and a week after i felt in love with helicopters after buying the UH-1H and never flew FC3 aircrafts afterward since i bought the M2K cuz it was the first fast mover with clickable cockpit. :(

I might be far in space, and just flew a bit the Hornet, spent most the few times on ground learning the start-up or a few carrier trap, and my many hours in the SuperHornet in another old Sim is Far :) and i haven't test it or remember, but one thing to test or take into consideration when engaging BALT or RALT is, the setting on your HUD, if the switch is set tp Radar or Baro might maybe makes a diff on the A/P, not sure, cuz personaly could be tricky if you're flying (extreme case here for the exemple) 400 FT with HUD set as Radar then hitting the A/P with 300 FT as BALT could make you go where you couldnt Anticipate and maybe way lower than 300 FT Radar. But i can be totaly wrong as i said, i haven't tried, only used A/P last night for testing purpuses and all worked fine, but i simly used HSEL and RALT since my HUD was set to Radar Altimeter. As for RALT working on certain altitude, could be a possibility as lots of aircraft even when you set your HUD on Radar Altimeter, passed a certain altitude it switches to Baro in anyways, but can't remember the Hornet, so might be the case with A/P. duno. But again, if i am all wrong, don'T do sending tomatoes at my Hornet pls ;P

Or as most of the aircrafts, trimming as much as possible close to straight fly with zero input then activating autopilot is pretty a flawless in any aircraft, that<s what i personaly do.

Not to mention the fact they had this going with Boeing and got all the sounds and Betty and some other stuff from them also adds a huge thing, just the spooling on each engine, the roar, bring me shivers and flash bakc the first time i heard this sound in an Airshow :) Brilliant Module so far.

Awesome module so far, been waiting to have a Hornet in DSC ever since i was flying in FSX and discovered DCS, back then when Black Shark and A-10C were two stand alones then not too far after, they came up with the possibility to have both aircrafts on same server... and i can tell all that dreaming wishing someday DCs would have a Hornet up to the wait time, was worth it, jsut awesome. Then here i was today flying it for the first time, cuz yeah, each time a module comes out, i have a small ritual, i got to create the skins first then start flying it. :) All that said, here i am, flying, pulling G's to see the Vapor effect, so there i am puling G's while looking over my should in sweet VR, and, what i didn't expect to see (got to say i wasn't able to watch mch movies about the Hornet, causing me being too impatient) well i was so surprise to see the behavior of the wing under G's, it sorta move, fold or i can'T say exactly, but, as real arfricfs does, it's the first one i see doing this in DCS, again, Bravo to all the teams who worked on this projet and much appreciated, brining alive in this sim, my best ever aircraft in RL. Thanks!

Speaking of T/O Trim, dunno if i am doing something wrong, or was an old sim i was into ages ago and in there, they were wrong, or maybe not yet implemented, but i thought T/O Trim angle was different when launch bar was retracted or extended, as when launching from carrier T/O Trim was higher, something like 10 versus 12+ or so (can't remember exactly). Or maybe was it just a SuperHornet difference, i'm just being curious here.

Sorry to read your dispointment :( But on my side, every time i buy a new module, no matter which one, i always start by setting up bindings etc.. Either in DCS or other games, so i never get surprises, that's also a way for me to find out what is being implemented now as axis or not. As i long time ago, realised my rudder category (CH Pro Pedal column) always have all axis set in htere as i only need the Rudder input, so i always clear the entire category under my Pro Pedals and rebind etc to avoid conflicts with other categorie's input... I guess that's why i never end up having surprises.

To install Persian Gulf map you needed version 2.5.2.17559.377 from last week, and to install today the Hornet we'll need today's patch DCS 2.5.2.17978

I would be either cry or laugh my ass off so hard if we manage to make the Server crash by spamming the forums ending causing a delay to put the Hornet and Patch live :P
