  1. Doesn't he/cpg store the point? Mine says something like "lased and stored"
  2. Sounds like I need one of these on my "wish list", soon...oh look tax return! I think I'll get a 10-12 cm extention and a lighter spring. Thanks to all that responded and for all the advice and info.
  3. Thanks All. I was surprised to see that 10cm seems to be popular. Does an extention that size really do much for control?
  4. I just discovered that I wasn't hearing the voice responses from my AI CP/G etc. Turns out (and I don't know why) I had my normal sound playing through my 5.1 sound system but those AI sounds were playing out of my head phones. I never would have known if my Headphones hadn't just happen to have been on and I hear "lasing" coming out of it. Follow up: I unplugged my Headphones from the PC and now I'm hearing all sorts of sounds I never heard before.
  5. I think your problem is you are chasing the I beam DON'T DO THAT! chase the target. I also still need TONS more practice but rockets isn't one of them Good luck and happy flying
  6. What symbols are shaking? I have none of that, maybe that the problem/bug? And why do you even have to move your head? Just fly straight and trimmed and it will all line up Don't chase the I beam . If that doesn't work just kamaikaze into them
  7. I'd say its quite easy They're just rocket just like every other flight sim with unguided rockets. they just have a lttle more option for range which you set with your helmet sight.
  8. Thats the way its done IMO. You line up the helo with nose 2 tail trim and the I beam is just an aid to tell you if its within constraints, you also have a little wiggle room for additional aiming up or down. But generally it all has to be lined up to make a accurate shot. They are unguided so of course you have to be lined up. Not sure why so many are having issues . Are you trying to shoot left or right like the gun can? I never even read the manual on rockets and could do it. (yes I am amazing ) I've killed about a thousand trains this week alone Good luck
  9. Title says it all Any recommendations for a good extension for the warthog and what should the length be? Thanks in advance
  10. Thanks I have a Warthog so I'd need one for that. I guess that's what Google is for
  11. If ten isn't working, Keep going I have like 25 but no extention. BTW where does everyone get these extensions?
  12. It tips on both for me but its an easy counter, just move the stick the other way a tad.
  13. Have you messed with your curves so its not so sensitive? It took me a week to get mine where I could hover and they still need a little more adjustment.
  14. Never used peddles for fixed wing in DCS but helos will greatly benifit from peddels.
  15. Do you have them correctly mapped? There is a option for first detent and 2nd detent. Did you map those?
  16. There's a Flight Director on the Apache?
  17. Wasn't about me its the fact that it sounded like it had to be used with FFB in the post which it does not. I think you would agree with that?
  18. I have no issues with either. To fire rockets you have to be trimmed so the I beam gets centered with your sight and then let them have it. I've killed about a million trains already. They seem quite easy to me. For guns make sure to bore-sight it and the gun isn't the most accurate anyways so you may have to compensate a little with your aiming. No they are EASY! Maybe there is a bug because they are very easy on my PC but some like you seem to be having major issues.
  19. To be fair I've started missions with it on and at that point I had no experience with it and had no idea how to turn it off or even on.
  20. "with instant you dont recenter, its instantly trimmed, so is best for FFB sticks" It works quite well for spring centering sticks also, It's what I am using and I don't have a FFB stick. I figure if its good enough for Cosmo it's good enough for me. ")
