  1. Being able to use the stars to make a calendar to tell seasons is one thing, it relies on basic observation and essentially taking notes. Finding out that there is an object in orbit in the very outer reaches of the solar system by eyeballing it and then etching that onto a stone slab? Isn't it at all concievable that the stone slab is for decoration? That they did not in fact go out at night, point at the massive sky and say "Hey, isn't that a planet?" Please give me the context I need to understand how this is even remotely likely.
  2. Poor bastard, 4chan is probably all over this thing. Not long now until he starts getting hundreds of attempted pizza deliveries a day Love the way Faux portray them
  3. I have a small pocket calendar book and after 31/12/11 there are ONLY blank pages... Really scary when you think about it. Anyway you can buy the book I wrote about it for only £599 + shipping to read how you should be prepared. It'll ship with a small pocket calendar book.
  4. There are some very good points in that series, they are just trying too hard and it kind of falls flat. A lot of the myths they take out of context, especially the Hindu ones, for example replacing a description of lightning with it being a UFO. Ancient civilizations did not understand lightning, the moon, stars, volcanoes or other natural disasters and phenomenon as we do, and attributed them to being gods or acts of god. These guys take all of that out of context because if you look at this specific rock it might look like an aircraft carrier from the right angle.
  5. Don't worry, be happy and get some nice air instead
  6. Yeah I was being hilarious again :( But in all seriousness it's interesting, the desired mach speed for high altitude climb. What makes climbing at this mach speed more effective?
  7. You can just download the entire updated game here http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?scr=product&ProductId=8&end_pos=135&lang=en Then use the cd-key from your dvd to activate :)
  8. First lawnmowers, now this...
  9. Pft. On 21/12/12 the long count mayan calendar will enter a new baktun, to the date 13.0.0.0.0. This is no different to our calendar entering a new century or millennium. What's causing all the uproar is that the previous world supposedly lasted for exactly 13 baktun. Date 0.0.0.0.0 would be the creation of this world according to mayan mythology, and corresponds to 11 August 3114 BC. Mankind was herding cattle and pigs at around 8000 BC so it's fair to assume that the world has been around for longer than 13 baktun.
  10. Then use the ejection seat for those vital few feet needed for the world record.
  11. Looks awesome on the replay though
  12. An Immelmann turn? If you're packing weight you could look into the Split_S maneuver instead but you need a much higher altitude and you'll crash hard if you pull back too much on the stick or overspeed the aircraft.
  13. I kinda feel like a smartass now, but nope :)
  14. Nonsense, it's an F-14 Dinocat edition
  15. Windmills. I've been spending too much time on Youtube :P
  16. Reminds me of this for some reason
  17. If you set trim to fly perfectly straight at 200 KIAS and increase throttle, the plane will naturally pitch up to maintain 200 KIAS. Likewise if you decrease throttle the plane will drop to maintain 200. The AP doesn't touch the trim, and all the while it's flying it's keeping a very high stick input to correct for the trim. If it gets too high it'll disconnect.
  18. Hahaha thanks guys :smilewink: Edit: Oh god now I'll never get MrYenkos picture out of my head when using the canopy... WHOAAAAARRRGH *whoooooooooop*
  19. Just a quick question, if battery power, ground power and everything else off, what is powering the canopy and enabling it to open and close?
  20. Basically the current engine works. It may not look like Battlefield 3 but if it did, it wouldn't be playable. Even the short-distance-higher-quality rendering distance would devastate any hardware on the market today. Personally I think A10C looks amazing. Especially compared to other flight sims. Of course the graphics is lacking when compared to top of the range FPS games but you have to consider the rendering distance. Starting a 50x50km map in say Battlefield 3, would cripple any server or client connected as the draw distance alone is simply massive. FPS graphics IS NOT flight sim graphics. You cannot fire away top modern DX 11 graphics and render a 200 kilometres in diameter of terrain at the same time, not on the hardware we have today. Even with your highly coveted Arma 2 engine.
  21. Did you turn off the engines? Give us a track file  And welcome to the forum :)
  22. So it DOES have a reverse.
  23. Hahaha nice :D Your next experiment should be to GAU your way out of a deep stall :cheer3nc:
  24. Gamecrash again at ~35000 feet. Shame, I was just lining up the GBU-12 with autolase at 45 seconds for laughs and giggles
  25. With one GBU-12 and the TGP loaded with 28% fuel and no gun rounds I headed for the skies. Once the altimeter hit 35000 the game crashed. This should probably be looked into if I can replicate it. On a side note, isn't there a crash file created somewhere? I can't remember where to find it. First crash in ages
