  1. Target is 45° East and 19nm of IP (655m bellow IP). I tried again once and precision seems OKish but the crosses are off and stay off.
  2. Anyone else tested if it works now in 1.55? I still got the IP point off and stays of even after updating and the target cross (offset) is not where it should be. Also Bombs fall quite far. Is it just me?
  3. That cover is a bit loose... after some patches it falls down, needs a bit of super glue. :D On a serious note, that map holder could hold some kneeboard pages isn't it?
  4. If you have mods that were modified by the update you might get files from older version back in the folder. Best though would be to make a check/repair of DCS after you "disabled" the broken mods before reenable.
  5. I don't know if I will keep the headset while I play, normally I fly with ear buds not this kind of over the ear headset. Also the Bluetooth adapter that triggers the problem is a 50 cents "Proudly Made in China" 10 years old one, I might change it with a newer one. What then? Activation error... For now I will restart the game with the adapter unplugged. It's just an annoyance this so called copy protection LNS uses. I wish they upgrade it to the same one like the others.
  6. I installed a Bluetooth Adapter (USB dongle) for some Headphones and... Mig21Bis asks for reactivation. ONLY Mig21Bis! Please LNS... upgrade your StarForce License to the same version (fee?) as the others (other third parties and ED) because theirs work as expected. I have also the log that that little program produces but I'm not sure is safe to post it here if inside it there are not Serials etc... it starts with some sort of serial. Is not that I don't have activations left...but... :noexpression: P.S. I know exactly that is because of this dongle because when I remove it from the PC I'm not asked anymore to reactivate.
  7. Such feature should be absolutely optional for people that don't want it. When you choose the airfield/airplane you should be asked if rampstarting where do you want to start: In cockpit or down beside the plane for walk-around. This feature should be also mission/server enforceable. If the mission suppose you do a pre-flight (for some sneaky in flight failures) player should be force to do the preflight (or skip it by directly climbing in the cockpit and fail in mid-air because of it).
  8. I wasn't kidding but I was meaning to make the "changes" for purpose of investigating the problem, not for good. A second PC beside the main one would give you an indication... a start.
  9. I know about it but it doesn't stay. You need to set it like that each time you start DCS. pietpuk said you can make it stay. I managed to do it only with an external program (System Explorer). Regarding your problem I think too is a hardware related one. You should try different ram or SSD or something else (other PC? :) ). I don't think there is much you could still do. Maybe tun off mirrors and lower the resolution on second screens inside cockpit...
  10. planes without pilot body at all don't have it implemented. Planes with pilot body visible can toggle it on or off either by RCtrl+P (or is it RShift+P?) or in options. Can you give some examples where you can't turn it off?
  11. You should note that I said "Users should have the possibility to keep an offline one if they wish" because yes, many people don't give a damn about these things. However, you must be keeping some "tabs" of your own in your own mind so maybe in online wars like Operation Blue Flag they are at least helpful a bit. Also please take note that people that were not existing (literally) when Lock On/FC arrived on the market are starting to play DCS and they might have bit of different preference on this. (not me... i'm 41 :) ) I think you missed my point here. In real life every flight is logged (almost) but every flight is serious. DCS is still a game and has situations where simply logging/mixing all the "performance" renders the logging meaningless or counterproductive. One might want to test some weapons without having to dodge or chase enemies so "friendly targets" are used... in this case his logs would be full of fratricides. Some might betatest or push to extremes a plane with great chance of crashing just to prove to a dev that maybe something doesn't work as it should (it happens a lot now), having all flights logged will reduce the incentive to test and contribute for some that might want their records "clean". And I'm sure a lot of other serious situations can appear before the so called "fraud" might be the case. Speaking of the fraud, any game could start in 3 modes, logged online, offline or unlogged. The choice is clear from beginning and one can know from start why he is chosing "unlogged" and can't ask for logging a flight at the end because he got good performance. So there is a great difference in where the option is offered. Also, any mission designer or server should have the ability to enforce the online logging OFF or ON or FREE so when a server wants everything to be serious could set it ON so bad or reckless behavior might "stain" the records. This could also help in fighting game disruptors . Not sure I understand you correctly but what I am saying/proposing (is just a proposition not a plan of action or an imminent decision from ED) is something Optional and Free for everyone (aka no extra-costs for having the stats stored online on the account).
  12. google says: iacta alea est :p
  13. I don't know... you tell us. Do you find it is in DCS? In multiplayer?
  14. And I wish I would be asked before flight if I want that flight o be "off the record"... who's not messing around digging holes in the ground? :)
  15. and controls for the pilot. Proper ones (WASD or arrows) and why not... a flight model for the pilot and pilot in chute. ... and different chutes.
  16. I think a way to expand the MP possibilities with a minimum investment and also create a small well of money is to have the Logbook online in a persistent database. Users should have the possibility to keep an offline one if they wish but medals/ unique online medals, achievements, "bragging rights" should bring some legit extra cash. Think about it. People will see all the medals and achievements and progress and stats others have or they could have with a module they don't have. Some will resist the urge... some don't. The ones that don't... bring the extra cash. It doesn't need to have micro transactions and other cheap schemes. Just the modules. A lot of people don't have all of them. The benefit for community will be a possibility that such logs could be integrated with online battles/servers/wars/tournaments expanding the experience.
  17. How do you do that? @Exigeous It was a thread around here these days where someone deleted the maxfps line from graphics.lua file (I guess you could just disable it with -- ) to get rid of some stutters. I even disabled mine but I can't say something about performance as I haven't the time to do some extensive tests. Also check the DCS folder from user\saved games\ for some bad autoexec file or anything. Finally I heard about problems with some motherboards and their USB controllers that simply induce stutters. Try searching about your mother board similar problems with USB controllers.
  18. I think because all is very very very classified it is also very very sensitive. Meaning even a "made up" simulation of current ECM methods would make some "entities" nervous. Also... We "can imagine" everything in that movie is completely obsolete and everybody moved to digital and lower power. So signals could be harder to detect and encrypted (so your ECM false responses are... false). With an integrated network, a defense system could be these days impenetrable otherwise than taking the subway or brute force.
  19. I see you are talking again about Tacview recording. Since the track records are corrupt most of the times or very time consuming to re-record then finally have a tacview working file. "Could it be possible that the server records ACMI TacView files for each runs then those files be archived and made available for download? Or if such recording is disabled is disabled even for server not only for clients?" Wouldn't be easier if the server records a tacview and make it available say in 24 hours?
  20. I think to install and use it you can still use my old tutorial I'll try to make another one including the repositories.
  21. Could it be possible that the server records ACMI TacView files for each runs then those files be archived and made available for download? Or if such recording is disabled is disabled even for server not only for clients?
  22. Me too. Pity he stopped doing them.
  23. Wait, you make these movies?
  24. Mmq1TB2AXfc alot other mvies on this channel are funny
  25. The F10 map is almost always available and you can work your position on the airport by looking outside from inside the cockpit. You can also press LCtrl+F10 iirc and the map will show locked on your actual position... you need just to zoom in. Sounds a lot more complicated than doing it during the ramp start. I for example didn't understood what you are doing exactly :D . Me: I connect the plane to ground power Battery on INS PSM in StandBy check coordinates on F10 Enter them in PCN Switch PSM to Align Validate on PCN Switch PSM to STS to see if I have time to move the laundry from washing machine to dryer :D Continue with start up. At the end of 8 minutes PSM back to N and NAV Simple :)
