  1. I tried in 2.0 but when I do the update I see instead of --O-- some sort of Ø with long straight line. Btw what exactly is the button to press when you do the update? INS Update or NAV Update? Because I pressed both. The cross from the IP is not on the actual ground object where my waypoint/PI was set and it's off to one side. After I press the update buttons I see the PCN changing but the cross stays in the old spot (wrong one) then as I overpass the waypoint (the actual object) the Ø appears on the HUD, I steer towards the target and nothing else appears on the HUD. I press and hold weapon release hoping it will show something in the last seconds but no. The first one is released instantly (it hit near but not sure if intended) but I had 4 bombs set to release armed at 20m interval. Then nothing can be dropped anymore. I can see the cross for the BUD on the ground... way off from where the actual BUD was suppose to be. EDIT actually... it might work but I need to attack always from IP to BUD on exact vector (why would be this required?!?). Maybe that's why it launched on bomb only and nothing after as I was trying to bomb from opposite side. here are some pictures extracted from the recorded movie (to big to process for what is needed here) the set up approaching IP making the update (TACAN antena is the IP) Update done and now overflying the IP Closing on target Release as I said... badly... few seconds after and the result: One bomb released. One impact. No other release ques received as I came from the other side
  2. Good to know. I'll setup a mission in 2.0 and see.
  3. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Normandie-Niemen like this? :) UAE is second greatest US allies and Israel first. just saying...
  4. You shouldn't get to warm up about this. There are reports about the idle power not being constant or increasing a lot in some unknown circumstances, also the plane goes supercruising very often. SO... maybe there are still more tunings to be made and this discussion on numbers and how one knows every number on it and it like this or like that is useless at this point.
  5. Me... I finally got the PI to show up... went to waypoint tried to update nothing happened. They say you shouldn't press VAL. Or you should at some point and I got it all wrong? The instructions are not error proof. It's not even clear what you need to press. Instructions say: press "Radar Position Update" HOTAS KEY... there is no such key... we have INS Update and NAV Update (is there any difference between those two anyway?) I am not sure that at this moment TAS is not bugged for 1.54... Very... :joystick:
  6. I followed the instructions but I had no PI on PCA to press. I think at the end of the process some little buttons needs to be pressed in PCN and it has to be clear what and why. You say "you just want to go to BAD" but I understood that it's impossible as you need to pass your waypoint first and to the update before anything. Because of this what you say above doesn't make click in my head at this hour (it could be that I didn't finished my coffee :D ).
  7. How exactly do you do that? I think some steps are missing from first post. Zeus added these info: Is this all?
  8. Exactly. I think the more this TS - SR schism the worse for gameplay. Some are in TS some in SR. People should be told to use primarily SR and TS as a backup. SR has great advantages over TS. TS is good for squads and people that know each other. SR is great for what we need here. Same with the excellent in game radio from "Squad" (game). They simplifies everything and offers what is needed without extra hassle . How many times channels where established with minute detail before a mission only to find everyone in one channel... many times without any relation with what people did there (ground attack in Fighters channel, Helicopters in god knows what channel, etc). SR eliminates "enemy" eavesdropping SR eliminates need for complex whisper or server/channel switching SR can auto-connect to a server + the obvious immersion and things in the manual The same happens for years in TS Channels. So it's not a SR minus at all. HOWEVER! In SR you can nicely tell those people to quickly change the Radio or channel or frequency to a free one so they can talk without problems. They can do this very easily while in game without need of rights to create new channels or bind keys to whispers etc.
  9. Would it be a good thing that some strong points (some cities or some airfields) existed in Blue Flag? I mean this quick capturing... this blitz krieg normally can't happen. I played when the campaign started one flight... I got disconnected some 40 minutes into the flight and when I had time to play again the map was almost over. How about each side should have 1-2 strong points where the fight is guaranteed to last a lot if people are playing right? I am saying this because seeing how the map looks I have little incentive to join... I feel like the game is over anyway... although it happened last time that the blue turned the table and won.
  10. I read a few times your post but I don't understand it (English is not my first language but I think I do understand it a bit especially if is written and I can read multiple times). How is taking an evasive action when threatened or attacked, by moving towards buildings and/or popping smoke to masks you from the air less sensible than simply sit/move few meters then stop forever until destroyed? Now in game a formation that is going on a road will break formation only after they are attacked although they can fire against the attacker before him. The breaking of formation is a good thing because it ruins the simple carpet bombing solution. But too late for a first attack and it stops there. First logical step in improving this would be to make them break formation before an imminent attack - can be detected by laser illumination sensing or launch "visual" observation, exactly like the planes do when you launch IR missiles at them. They even pop flares before you launch. Second step would be to make them hard to see. Smoke is simple to use. It is realistic and in the game already. It's not the best looking maybe but... "half an eye is better than no eye".
  11. One quick fix would be to have the ground vehicles pop smoke like crazy. Small puffs all around the units to make it difficult to re-attack. It's understandable that is hard to code some believable AI for them (there are games where the NPC interaction is critical and still they do a bad job... AAA games) but the worst behaviors can be at least masked with some "believable" military style reaction. Like getting cover after an attack or after the enemy aircraft was spotted and little counter attack can be employed by popping smoke or go fast to nearest buildings or both.
  12. docWilly do you have by any chance a FFB HOTAS? Or one with small spikes? Or both... like me? :D
  13. Behind that it must be some codding to display dynamically the kneebooards you are showing on big On Screen kneeboard representation. The coding is obviously not finished yet (the 1st person Pilot body was introduced 2 patches ago) so the game is showing that "missing texture" replacement. In short. There not just one texture that is missing.
  14. Thanks for the explanation! So in Options\Controls the word Priority is missing and the buttons look like they are duplicates on HOTAS from PCA when in fact they are similar but with a twist.
  15. What are those "priority" buttons?
  16. What is wrong with the seat shakers or whatever they are called? Like these: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=134704 After all the normal control column does not really vibrate it moves when buffeting or not even then depending on the plane. I think Logitech has on cheap Vibration Only Joystick too... These joysticks are the cheapest because they offer almost nothing. I have a G940 and the vibration it produces is the most annoying and I deactivate it from FFB tuning menu.
  17. Maybe they went off with those for take off and landings. They give tactical information.
  18. Still, the WW2 planes handles pretty okeish isn't it? But you will still try to address this, right? I mean... it will not stay like this because if so I rather have that drag chute all the time. As it is now if you land at the very end of any runway and let the aircraft do aerobraking it will never stop without applying brakes or chute. It will crash at the other end of the runway after losing just few knots in speed.
  19. My landings with Mirage are yet to be acceptable but I did observed also that the thing simply doesn't lose speed. On the ground my plane starts to roll and I can taxi without problems by simply releasing the parking brake. Once I even had the plane moving with parking brake pulled, I was with my head down starting the thing up when my ground crew yelled at me I was leaving with cables attached. I thought that maybe is because I sometimes press the toe brakes without reason and maybe the thing is coded like Mi-8 where it used to release the parking brake when you squeezed the brake leaver with the axis.
  20. I don't know if you tried but... try to ignore the activation window. I also received an activation window a few times after update or even crash for other modules also not only Mig21 and I simply refused to reactivate and all was OK.
  21. Yes. Bad missions!
  22. +1 for that!!
  23. You have all the airports "mapped". You can see quick distances and heading to them. With the F10 map available for reference checking and some hours of flight like this... becomes a non issue. "Blind" Navigation is a game changer but for most is "scary" at first. I remember multiplayer games in IL-2 1946 with flights over the ocean. The map was a time one in your head. The battles were secondary :D .
  24. How about instead of balancing the unbalance we actually try to go towards more "realism". For example, better SAM for Red (after all... they're on the home field).
