  1. Yeah, sorry I should've mentioned I found that indeed. So, when no tgp is loaded, "manual" mfd manipulation is always required for CZ?
  2. Is there a way to CZ without letting go of the throttle and stick? I'm currently only aware of the "CZ" OSB on the TGP and FCR mfd's (hehe, gotta love all the abbreviations ), but I notice I have to do this a lot. So, if there's a way to do this with HOTAS, I'd really like to know how
  3. So cool to see these kind of "low-cost" innovative playseat solutions! Don't want to stray off topic, but I'm curious: how do you avoid the seat base from rolling backwards when it's in the forward position and you press the toe-brakes?
  4. Well, this bug currently makes it properly rough/sluggish During landing/take-off the Viper currently feels like a WWI triplane
  5. Still training myself on the Viper systems so this may be a stupid question, but can using the AGM-65 WPN page on the MFD have a similar effect on the steerpoint system? reason why I ask: I've been practicing my Mav skills on the 4YA servers lately, and pretty much in all my sessions I noticed all my steerpoints being way off on where they're supposed to be. I mean, really multiple miles away from where they should be. I haven't yet investigated thoroughly though. Perhaps it's INS drift (although that would be pretty extreme)
  6. You missed my point (or maybe I just didn't make myself clear enough ) When I'm in my Viper, I have all my HOTAS buttons bound to the actual realistic throttle and stick buttons (no spares), so I have to use another controller (my collective) for e.g. pilot body hide. When I'm flying my Apache, I have all my HOCAS buttons bound to the actual realistic collective and stick buttons (no spares), so I have to use another controller (my F-16 side stick) for e.g. pilot body hide. So, I can't use the same button for pilot body hide/unhide in both the Viper and Apache. Hence, for me it would not be handy if that was added to the UI layer controls. I hope that made sense
  7. I do understand your wish and while at first it seems very logic, there's a serious downside to this: Many simmers, have various hotas controllers. For instance, I use a collective, center stick, side stick and two different throttles, depending which module I fly. So, I always have one or two controllers spare, but it's always different ones. That means, that when for instance I fly the Viper (side stick + F-16 throttle) I use a spare button on my collective to quickly hide/unhide the pilot body. Whereas when I fly the Apache (collective+center stick), I use a button on my side stick to hide/unhide the pilot body. Just an example, but you can imagine that the more UI centralized binds, the more often I'd have an issue.
  8. Hm? Not if they are part of the same group. They then may all disperse when under fire (depending your settings), but when they start moving again, they will respect their set formation again. Maybe share your mission here and point us where you have this issue, so we can take a look at it.
  9. Well, fingers crossed for that long awaited for Dynamic Campaign
  10. @BIGNEWY: I love DCS and I don't like being negative, but It's beyond absurd that we have to ask this with every single new module that is released.... Surely it shouldn't be too much work to add this to ED's "new module release" checklist.
  11. MiG-29 is in the making by ED. No details yet on available loadout. If you want more full fidelity Russian aircraft, you might have to convince uncle Putin to declassify data
  12. Forgot master arm maybe? Too close to your target? MAV not properly "locked"? Without a track file, it's difficult to help
  13. Not sure what location this is, but I'm pretty sure this is intended. This is supposed to allow one to taxi into the HAS without requiring the aircraft to be towed-back (or winched backwards) into the HAS by ground crew. You see the same on various of the Syria map airbase shelters. Yes, it's a very tight turn For some airframes, too tight
  14. not just an issue with the A-10, also no jtac for the Viper IA Iraq mission
  15. This has been possible already for a very long time and isn't something new (well, the video is, but the functionality isn't). Also works good for Sinai/Syria. Afghanistan map will be expanded with some sea, but before that, this method allowed coupling PG and Afghanistan, to allow carrier ops. Anyways.. This all works okay-ish as long as the player follows the planned waypoint routes. Not much room for improvised gameplay. And, of course, not an option for MP. But yes, until we have a global map, it's a workaround
  16. Awesome map ED, I love it! And even on my 5 year old machine it runs acceptable in VR (for me). Congrats with this new release! Just some funny road-terrain anomalies I came across: (not sure if reports like these help the team, but I suppose it won't hurt either ) Anomaly 1: (Coords on F10 map screenshot) Anomaly 2: Sorry, I'm sure I took a screenshot of the F10 map, but apparently (I'm in VR) I hit the wrong button. This screenshot was taken a bit further North of the above. And this one is bonus : Place yourself way up North on the map, and you'll see this at the border of the map (probably intended). A thousants of feet deep "valley" null
  17. I was also wondering about this armed dude. Anything you can share about this @BIGNEWY? (Or are we chasing ghosts here and is this just some mod that was used to "eye-candy" the release video?)
  18. Perhaps it's because I'm watching this on my phone or I'm just easily satisfied, but this doesn't look too bad to me. (I'm still leaning on my old gtx1080ti, so I don't expect too much eye candy anyway) Can't wait to try it for myself

    Bored.

You don't need it (I never used it myself), but I suppose it being part of DCS core, it's probably very easy. Just don't be bothered about occasional ace combat players (taking off from runways etc.)

    Bored.

It is relaxed You can use voice chat but don't have to (There's also a few acrobatics 4YA servers if you fancy that)

Go to Multiplayer from the main DCS menu screen and in the search bar type: 4YA You'll now see the list of all available 4YA servers. Check which one are populated and join Easy peasy

    Bored.

Or, if you lack time for committing to a virtual sqn and don't mind having to ignore an occasional rotten apple, some of the 4YA servers are usually pretty well populated for a nice DCS session together with others. I often "create" my own little sub-missions on the 4YA servers, by providing CAP or SEAD for helo players. The Sinai 4YA server is also very nice for helo ops, due to less long distances (although unfortunately not as populated)
  23. I updated/improved this mission a bit Version 1.3 now available here Changes: version 1.3: Simple ATC added (semi-automatic) Added multiple optional assists (to help the player find targets) Optimized several potential AI issues Changed time of day (earlier now, to avoid having to search for targets in full darkness) Added some more AI "life" Changed/improved keeboard
  24. Bump Another 3+ months have past and this is still a daily annoyance. (Updated my OP, to clearly explain my report)
  25. I suppose either I have a translation issue, or this one is too cryptic for me then (this must be how my GF feels, when she doesn't understand my jokes)
