In special option I set the AB detent to 70 and idle to minimum. I don’t use a curve. AB seems to kick in just as I push through the detent.

Try “synchronize control settings” in options. Or, did you do that already?

I've always installed DCS in it's own drive (in my case F:) without any issues. It's on 1TB SSD as well and both DCS and "the sim that shall not be named" reside comfortably in it with lots of space. I've not had to use a junction. I'm going to look it up, learn something perhaps.

Could it be you are trying to pull off the dive too hard at a high speed? Try it at a moderate dive angle and keep the speed a little lower and see what happens. Remember to keep your rpm up so the gun works, sorry I can’t recall what the minimum rpm is.

Setup a mission, air start behind the Tu-22, get him to maneuver, snap the wings then quit the mission. Should be a much smaller track file and “probably” play back ok.

Wonder why the I/C fails when you change “true” to “false”? You would think that if the code allows for a true/false statement either condition would be acceptable. It’s not like you are deleting or commenting out a line of code.

Need some direction guys. I own both Normandy 1944 and The Channel maps. I was able to purchase Normandy 2.0 (after ignoring the warning I already had it) at the discount of $9.99, so far so good. I checked my profile and it shows it was paid and order completed. I pop into DCS Module Manager and there is no sign of the Normandy map to download (neither the old or the new versions). I did not have either of them (Channel or Normandy) installed at the time of purchase (saving some disk space). Only the Channel map was available for download. Is there a special link to download the EA version of the map? __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Update. Meh. Looks like an airport to me. Seems an odd thing (color of concrete) to to use as a make or break decision on purchasing a map considering the the overall map. But, your call, it’s your money. Great looking map, going to be fun to fly and the mission creation will be excellent.

Go into FPAS and change the Home waypoint to an unassigned waypoint. That should stop the caution showing up.

Does it pass IC in MP?

The C8 (the Canadian version of the M4 by Colt Canada) was issued in the CF in the mid 80’s so the M4 on the dash fits fine for the Canadian theme.

M=Marche which is French for on ( among other meanings as well) A=Arret which is French for off (or stop, etc) In case you didn’t know.

So you’re OK with the base model and ease of maintaining the software as DCS updates. That’s good. So I don’t get why you don’t want modders providing the dream versions.

I think the DCS version should be as close the version they are simulating. Updates and bug fixes are easier to do and quicker. Those that want some super duper dream version can simply create a mod based on the DCS one. That way if it breaks its up to the modder to fix it and the rest of us can carry on with the DCS version. Everone is happy.

I like it. Although a bit disturbing as I pre-date it by a couple of years.
