Precision coordinates are entered for GPS-guided weapons in PP mode, not TOO. Waypoints do not accept precision coordinates. These must be entered for each GPS-guided weapon using the UFC.
In 2.5.5 DCS, with the VR Option enabled, could be started in normal monitor mode with the suffix --force_disable_VR added to the Icon Properties Target. This modifier is not recognized by 2.5.6. Has anyone found a way to accomplish opening DCS in non-VR?
Can't get it to work now, but I have had it working in the past. Set ICLS CH 17 for Stennis in ME Advanced Waypoint Actions. Turn ILS ON via UFC and set CH 17. Box ILS on HSI, but glide slope and localizer bars never appear. Am I missing something? I have double-checked everything. Maybe I will try a repair.
No way yet to pre-plan targets or any other cockpit settings. Next best thing is a mod named Waypoint Editor that stores coordinates for waypoints and JDAM/JSOW targets. Once in the cockpit one key press will set those coordinates through automatic UFC inputs. Search for Waypoint Editor in the Mods section this forum.
Moose is a monumental achievement and Flight Control deserves accolades for his original efforts. Those few of you still working to improve Moose are to be commended for your dedication to DCS and our community.
Hmmmm. I accidentally got myself into Release type: AUTO LFT on a mission and that function made several weapon functions like MODE, FUZE, and others unavailable. Had to orbit for 10 min before I discovered the issue.
I place a small piece of loop-side velcro on OSB 3, 8, 13, 18 to provide a tactile feedback for locating MFD buttons while flying in VR. Works pretty well.
Would appreciate some info on JSOW Release Type, Weapon OSB 2. What are the available release types? How are they best employed? Are they implemented yet in DCS?
I have found this little program to be really great. Prior to the flight get the desired flight plan or target waypoint coordinates from the mission map or other source. Enter the data into the program. Then, when in the cockpit, use a key combo to automatically enter that data into the mission computer.

We have read that DCS will implement in the future a new FLIR rendering system and that one of the associated tasks involves developing a heat map for each object in DCS World. I suppose that means that all the cool objects that modders have developed will not function correctly unless heat maps are developed for them. Since some talented modders have unfortunately left the scene, we may lose the use of many objects we all know and love. Nothing to be done now, I guess. Just looking into the future.
After witnessing extremely slow completion of F/A-18C and F-16C I vowed NOT to purchase any other DCS uncompleted modules. AND YET I have pre-ordered the Super Carrier.
