  1. I'm thinking the N used the same radar as the F-16A, so if you're going to ask for the N might as well as ask for the A as well.
  2. Wo ist ein Phantom?
  3. This would be cool to have. Another feature that I'd like to see to go along with this would be Agressor mode AI. The idea here is that once we get decent flight models for the AI, we'd have the option for agressor mode. For example if we have an F-5s flying as agressors we would have the option to have the AI to fly them as close to a different plane as possible. You combine training mode and agressor mode then in your Red Flag campaign would be quite realistic since you'd have F-5's limting their turns to match the MIg-21 or 23 and they'd just RTB when shot down (Though in real Red Flag they will often fly back to the tanker then comback again simulating a new flight taking off)
  4. ED has a lot to do,
  5. I assumed that is what the thread was about a block 30 in a ODS configuation. I figure Ideal the F-Teens modules should have had 3 maybe 4 variants . An early A, an early C (Desert Storm Configuration), and a late model C (early 2ks variant we have). I get that might not be possible to do the multipack.
  6. When we finally get decent flight models for the AI and better AI, I would love to have an option called "Aggressor mode" where the AI tries to mimic another aircraft using the current one selected. This won't be a flight model swap where you are flying against a MiG-21 that looks like an F-5 rather you would have and F-5 with a pilot trying to keep things with in the paramaters of a MiG-21 in as much as possible with an F-5

  7. Getting something good enough for DCS is going to be a lot easier to do with an AI only module than it would be with a flyable module.
  8. Then technically we might have 3 in the works. The original Wild weasel was the F-100F they didn't have ARMS so they attacked sams with cluster bombs. They were retired as Wild Weasles very early on, my dad started EWO training in the summer of 1966 and the Hun had just been retired as a Wild Weasel. We have a single seat Hun in the pipe but some of the code could be reused EF-4C they were converted towards the end of Rolling Thunder of course we have the F-4E which were converted into the F-4G I didn't say we had a weasel in the pip just the base aircraft used for weasels in the Pipe and we have the F-100
  9. I brought it up here-
  10. The EB-66 and EA-3 had a crew of 7. So even if all the information needed was open source, any module would require the AI to do most of the lifting. Which is why it would make way more sense to use that to improve the AI. The best I think we could get would be the Wild Weasels. They were two seaters on the blue side we have the base aircraft for one already in the game and another in the pipe.
  11. We discussed Wild Weasels here. We have two discussions about the F-4G here I'm skeptical about getting full EW or Wild Weasel module. However I don't see why we couldn't have these planes as AI assets. We'd need a better EW modeling. I'd love to have the EB-66 and EA-3 for Vietnam era missions
  12. The state of international weapons just leaves me sad to be honest. I strongly believe that DCS's future lies in the past. It's probably impossible to get the data for a Super Flanker or Super Fulcrum but we could proabbly get the information for World War and older cold war from various museums. I'm happy about the line up we have in the middle east- I change my statements about the Flanker being possible unles someone can point to something official.
  13. This is why I favore historic modules. The latests MiG or Su might get you arrested but if something's been retired for decades This is the first time I saw anyone comment on the laws in Romania. Is there anyone else flying an upgraded MIG-21 we might be able to get doccuments for? Also what is known about hte MiG-21-93? Frankly I'd rather see more AI assets
  14. I would have made the starting date summer 1943- just so WWII doesn't get ignored. Having said that I think the ED should have focused on building ecosystems around the modules. As I ahve said the past an eco system would be a map, at least two contemporary flyable modules, and the proper assets. I'm not giving up hope for a resolution with Razbam but I would like to see someone line up the Floggers, Fitters, and Fencer and cold war Flanker. We need the ability to build strike packages for both sides on as many maps as possible. With the MiG-29 we have a nice lineup for the Iran-Iraq war. The issue comes down to the documentation. I think an early model Flanker B is possible. in fact I think ED has state they have plans to do that. As for the Su-30, I don't know if there is enough information to do an early model Su-30 variant of some sort. If we can I'd like some multi-role variant with a good AI WSO. If they felt they had enough information for an official Su-30 and a kick starter I'd pre-order a copy right now.
  15. This is the reason I want to see more Cold War modules, and I am happy about seeing World War II get expanded. The closest thing you have to balance with dissimilar air combat is to design a mission around contemporary aircraft with similar systems. There are limits on what we can do with RedFor due to the lack of available documentation. However even though we are limited to historic options, these eras need to be fleshed out. This is the reason I want the MiG-27, whatever Fitter and Su-24 we can get added to DCS. If there is any chance of getting decent REDFOR SEAD it would be these planes. I'd love to see Heatblur do the Su-24 because of Jester AI. I don't care who does the Fitter, and 27. I know the Fitter is supposed to be in the Pipeline. NO argument there. The problem is getting the proper documentation. There are only two ways I could see this being done without violating Russian security laws. The first would be a mod such as the codename Flanker project https://www.facebook.com/FlankerEX/ the second is to be happy with AI. Now unless you can come up with a third way which doesn't involve completely some miracle to improve global international relations (Which I'd love to do anyhow) I'd love to hear it as that would be on topic.
  16. I hope we get the Naval version and some French ships.
  17. I think WWII bomber formations need to be improved. Not only do we need agression levels but I also think we need an easier was to build the formations too
  18. I've said this before I'd have no problems with more variants of the existing planes we have, I would however like new modules first. However when we get new variants of existing planes I'd love to see an a variant price system where the price will be based on how code the new variant uses. I proabbaly would buy the Blck 30 if I have the cash
  19. This will only work for common controls which could be done automatically with a control set up wizard.
  20. A bench marking tool would be a great way to provide data for a graphics configuration wizard
  21. I think this would be a good place to start before getting started on the Thud module.
  22. I am going to play around with the Iowa mods to see if I can get them to fire KT shells
  23. That's why I think the question is for a mod. This would be a mater of lau editing.
  24. Agreeed, I'd like a 2 or 3 way swich NATO only Russian only and if these aren't going to be too crowded to be readable NATO (Russian) Russian (NATO)
