  1. The reason new ac don't divide the community is because you don't need to buy the new AC to face it in combat on your favorite server. Asset packs on the other hand do require that you own them to connect to a server that uses them. If we at least had a filter I don't think it would be as big of a problem. This is the reason I want land and naval modules.
  2. In general more historic assets. I would love to see a bunch of WWII and Korean era Red assets that could be used with i-16 and MiG-15 as both are in an asset desert. I also want more naval assets. We have two Normand maps but we don't have the overlord invasion fleet. Then the Marinas need both the WWII fleets as well as more modern ones. We have a decent 1970/early 80s carrier airwing planned but a 1990s carrier battle group. So more and better naval assets Also better infantry. Then I also want airborne drops and the mechanics for an amphibious assault
  3. The biggest obstacle would be getting the Russian government to sign off on the red planes. The Eagle and Warthog would be the easiest followed by the Grach.
  4. After reading the post I think both requests can be be easily merged. For example let's say we have a Phantom II flying an attack mission. The drop down task is ground attack, then you might have the flight bomb a rail yard at way point 2 and have a fighter sweep start st way point 3 or as a secondary task for the mission. Likewise might have flak supressiin as an option in the advanced way point action menu
  5. I have suggested something like this for mods.
  6. The only reason I could see behind the current system is so you can select the role then the aircraft. So I would like the option of locking or unlocking the aircraft or mission.
  7. I'd love this as well, especially if the user files section could become a full-blown repository with a mod manager
  8. As I have said multiple times I believe mods are the only answer to this argument. I would love to see the Fencer, Flanker and Fulcrum carry more advanced weapons. Hower there is not enough information for ED to implement them in an HI aircraft. If there is enough evidence to confirm that some weapon is carried by a variant of an aircraft, then it should be grounds for ED to consider adding that variant as an AI asset. As for flyable variants as I said before if there isn't enough information for ED to do it legally and you want to use it, then get a mod.
  9. Eagle doens't have enough information to implement the weapons interface. Anyway, would you mind explaining why you are opposed to using a mod of some advanced version of the Flanker or Fulcrum?
  10. I might need some practice but I can do some lau coding and I know a little bit of c but if you need some help let me know.
  11. I don't think it would be either. It would be nice if we could get some retired version. Out of the su-2_ I think the 26 aerobatic plane is the most likely followed by the 25 though way off. As for the list I can't argue except I would love to see Cuban Ace deliver on the yak-38. As I have said before my preference with Red modules and assets are ones that can pull double duty for WWII and early cold war followed by the strike planes.
  12. My list, first anything from the early Cold War and World War II that would work with the I-16 and Mig-15. As far as DCS is concerned the documentary from the 1980s was correctly named as Korea has been forgotten. Thanks to the presence of the I-16 we need assets and modules that will cover 1935 onward. We have a nice lineup as far as air to air is concerned for the 1960s and 70s. The MiG-25 and Su-15. The MiG-25 would work with more maps. The Su-7, MiG-27, Su-22, and if possible the Su-24 would be quite welcome as would the SU-25 and Mig-29.
  13. Anyway I knew there has to be some DCS core improvements. I'd love to have the EB-66 and EA-3 in a Vietnam scenario
  14. I hope they are planning to do it.
  15. The prowler is going to be an AI asset
  16. The Prowler is planned as an AI asset that will be released with the A-6E
  17. I was wrong, still want the fitter
  18. The MI-24 is still in service and there is talk about the MiG-29 which is also in service. I know the MiG-29 is the A module so I'm wondering if there is any chance for some retired 1980s version? The Fulcrum is in the planning, but I would love it if ED announces it is in EA
  19. You still have to convince Eagle to sacrifice realism in this aspect. This is one of the reasons that I like mods. There are more advanced versions of the Flanker and Fulcrum, which we can't get as flyable assets due to Russian and Chinese laws. Eagle is reluctant to do a Franken plane as it would sacrifice realism too much. So unless some political upheaval happens its up to the mod community to come up with a workable modern Flanker or Fulcrum. Though I really want ED to add the advanced variants as AI assets
  20. If you look at the Thud document info dump it looks like a third party developer is using them for a Thud module. So I think a Foxbat info dump would have the same result.
  21. That's why I didn't vote for the Fitter, not becuse I don't want it but rather becuse it has been announced
  22. When the prowler gets released, will it just be an ARM shooter or will it function as a proper jammer as well?
  23. I'm still wondering what are they planning to add from that module. I'd love to see jamming improved. As well as air defense AI. I'll be very happy if HB's prowler actually works as a Jammer and isn't just an ARM shooter
