Any chance we can have numbers added so the laser code is easier to read?

USS Enterprise in 1971-1972 The only USAF versions of the Phantom I could see being bundled with the a Navy version would be the C and possibly the D. The C and B were bascially identical except for some USAF changes like wider tires, controls in he back and a boom receptacle the D was an advanced C
-
Awesome according to this post there might be someone developing the Thud. I'd love to have have the F-105G and F-4G but the Phantom I don't think would be possible If we get a C module then maybe an EF-4C would cool

We need the Iowas I'd love a playable Iowa module

How to setup throttle detent?

what sort of screwdrier? -
I made a list of all the ships I could think of for the 1970s and 80s in this thread I know we are really limited on what we can get, but I would love to see enough different ships that we can have workable battlegroups for all the naval modules we have or will get.
-
My understanding was that if the AI asset in question was original content then ED might be interested in adding it
-
Also any chance we can see the 1980s Iowa refit in DCS core
-
While they are added we need some ships too. I've said it before DCS needs to redo the ship menu. I'd like to see something like this I'm using Lexington (CV-16) as an example category- aircraft carrier class - Essex subclass- Ticonderoga (long-hull) ship- Lexington (CV-16) ----I don't care how if the ship is a livery or an individual module Fitting -WWII

Infantry and ships are a DCS weakness

Which I keep saying they need to reverse. At the minimum they need to start building some Red Assets that could do double duty for Korea

Is buying WW2 modules and asset pack worth it?
upyr1 replied to lenenkash's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
If you are planning to get the channel or Normandy then get a Warbird and the WWII asset pack. The channel IMHO is pointless without them. -
According to @NineLine they are interested in taking over community assets so from my understanding the only barrier would be using pre-eisting items that wouldn't allow for it in their licenses.
-
While I love the fact the community is willing to step up and produce naval assets like this, I hate the fact the community asset builders aren't letting ED take over the assets. and I doubly hate the fact ED isn't. For the Channel and Normandy maps, I'd like some of the overlord invasion ships at the minimum, though I tossing in BIsmark and some other Kriegsmarine surface ships for some what-if scenarios would be awesome. I know we are supposed to have an Essex-class carrier for the F4U but I'd love to see enough ships of all types so we can build axis and allies task groups. Carrier fast battleship old battleship/ dreadnought -Nevada and Texas top my list large / battlecruiser - Alaska should be listed as a battlecruiser Heavy Cruiser light cruiser- can we get USS OKC?

I was thinking about this in the Thud thread Hypothetically if an unknown third-party developer other than Heatblur is working on the Thud, and we had enough information to do a Wild Weasel variants which were 2 seaters, would they be able to licence out Jester AI for the EWO?
-
Also double the variant's that squadron used. I know looking at this post It looked like you found someone doing the Thud. Even if we have enough open-source information to do a Wild Weasel, the remaining question issue would be an AI EWO. I know there is a lot you can't or won't say however if I were developing the module and I weren't Heatblur I would aks about licencing Jester.

The image is labeled 357th which was part of the 355th TFW. During the Vietnam war they were a composite wing, they also operated EB-66's my dad was an EWO with the 41st TEWS. He initially wanted the Thud then changed his mind

No thud is airworthy. There have been an atempt or two. So DCS is the only way for the Thud to live on.

The initial Thud Weasels were F models. The real issue though is whether or not we can get the proper tones

we'll have to see if a FAC can chime in.

Someone's asking about adding Ronald Regan to the Super Carrier pack. While I like the Gipper and think that will be awesome, let's take a moment to think about his VP George HW Bush. He was a Naval aviator so we'd need a flyable TBF/M module that inludes his plane as a livery. Next we'd need the independence-class light carrier San Jacinto lastly the carrier which bares his name
-
Why not ask for the whole class? Regan would be awesome but if we get the Bush I'd love to have his WWII carrier the Independence-class light carrier San Jacinto
