  3. I agree -- it doesn't make sense to have a key-command for moving the throttle, unless there is a clickable *unlock* button in the cockpit. You should be able to just check If ThrottleValue > 0 && ThrottleValue < 5% { move to Idle }

  9. There are a lot of entitled-sounding people in this thread. We're finally getting a taste of something that we have _NEVER_HAD_ for DCS before, and it's not EVEN RELEASED YET, and people are already complaining that it is not how they would have done it, or it's not customizable enough. At least try to look at the INIT folder and see what is possible before complaining. /rant_mode
  10. Would your new campaign engine work with helicopters? I assume not, but thought I'd ask.
  11. I don't know why people keep talking about difficulty. We are not complaining that it is too difficult -- just that it doesn't seem to match any other helicopter flight dynamic. When I hold a small amount of left cyclic, it wants to roll me upside down. But when I use the magnetic hold in the same position, it does a graceful turn. Maybe I'm missing something here?
  12. Are you trying to say that because it is more Advanced, it should handle differently than other DCS choppers in normal flight regimes?
  13. May be a bug in latest 1.5.4 version. I cannot get a Huey to attack with door guns, or a sa342L to attack with cannon either, despite ROE - weapons free.

  16. Ok, thanks Ramsay. Don't know how I missed that thread. I guess one possible use would be: - you spot a good artillery target in the distance; - you save your current WP to 1; - you get distance with Viviane (say 6km); - you fly straight towards it until Viviane says 3km (half-way); - drop a WP 2; - do polar coord (WP1-WP2) added to WP2, stored in WP3; - now WP3 should be your target; - call fire mission. Does that sound correct, or is there a flaw in my logic?
  17. +1 I messed with it a bit, and it almost seems like it takes the difference between entered point 1 and 2, adds this difference to point 3 and stores it in point 4. Can anyone verify? Thanks
  18. Maybe just an automated port-scan from some hacker somewhere. Unlikely to be a directed attack IMO. But not likely to be just a failed login.

  21. As I understand it, the L-39 is the test-bed for Eagle Dynamics to develop their 2-seater technology in the base-game. And all the other trainers are from 3rd parties, which was recommended to them by ED as a simpler way for them to get their feet wet with developing modules for DCS.
  22. Just a guess but it might be configured in: Bazar\shaders\terrain\LandLight.hlsl Seems to be using sunlight value to change color. If I knew more about shaders, I could try to change it.
