Hey Don, Many thanks for the update. I still can't get a pass mark for Misson 8, navigating to the carrier. I was able to receive the code, navigate to CV, then land successfully. The mission success popped up ok, but my score remained on 40. Would this have something to do with the flags "Landed" vs "Landed_CV"? Landed gets you 30 points, while Landed_CV gets you 60 points. I think weather vaning due to wind on the ground is too strong when taxiing. It is almost impossible to turn away from the wind (even with diffential braking and power), then the fuselage will snap around. Either that, or the tail wheel castering is not loose enough. Cheers! Have you switched on the battery and inverter? Also, check fuel switches are correct. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk

Well, I found the problem. Me, the "ID 10 T" problem, had the Historical Filter on. [emoji1787]. Everything is working as intended. Thanks for the help and explanations. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk

Thanks Eddie. I'll try deleting all of those "--" in the lua file. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk

Hey Eddie, Thanks for looking into this. The lua line you refer to, is that in S-2E_static.lua (in the updated folder)? If so, is that just a comment for the model maker in the lua file? It is in green text for me (using Notepad++). Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk

I put them in \Aircraft and they show just fine in structures. P.S. thanks for all the amazing liveries crazyeddie! Do I need the old S2_Tracker folder as well? Tried the upgraded one under .../Mods/aircraft, and it still didn't show up in ME. Do I need to delete the "upgraded" out of the folder name? Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk

Hhhmmm, I downloaded the updated S2 Tracker and placed it in the correct path under .../Mods/tech, and it now does not show up in the ME to place as a static. The original does not show up either now. Love the liveries, well done. Cheers!

That shouldn't be the case. The F-16 self trims to 1G in pitch. So you set your attitude, hold, the FCS should trim. Lateral trim is required with asymmetric loads (also having the TGP installed will have an effect). You should check with other axis/button conflictions using the RCTRL ENTER pop-up. Cheers! Yes, this training campaign is brilliant. Well done Don. I have just passed the carrier landing mission. The voice-overs are clear and concise, and I love the humour in the briefs. Good stuff, Cheers! [emoji1634] Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk

Community A-4E-C v2.3 (May 2025)
Scotch75 replied to plusnine's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
I believe the A-4 rolls slightly left naturally due to the ammo drum being left of the centre. The opposite trim will come down to the resolution of your trim button being too big. The real trim is obviously analogue, so the duration of the pilot's trim actuation matters (and they can do a very short actuation). With a digital hat switch (I use TM Warthog), the minimum duration of the trim actuation is too large. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk -
DCS crashes when hard landing on Essex class carrier.
Scotch75 replied to Jexmatex's topic in Bugs and Problems
Ok, I think I can attribute this CTD to not using comms to contact the CV inbound. I just tested the Dogfight Instant Action in Marianas WW2 map. I did a no-comms arrival with immediate CTD on the trap. Previously, I had flown this mission several times, and was able to trap ok when using the usual check-in procedure on comms. Harsh sin-bin for not using comms [emoji1787]. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk -
Yes, I have found this. Testing with Corsair on Essex in Marianas WW2, using Carrier Start and Dogfight Instant Action missions. I was able to trap when I contacted the CV through the radio and followed the procedures. When I did not contact via the radio, a CTD occurred. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk

Crash when landing F-14 on carrier despite LSO waveoff
Scotch75 replied to Kobymaru's topic in Game Crash
I was able to trap the Corsair on the Essex carrier ok in 2 instant action missions on Marianas WW2. I contacted the CV through the radio and completed the whole process. I was next going to test to see if the CTD occurred when no contact via radio was made to the CV, but I ran out of time. This also happened to me once. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk -

Yes, under General in the drop-down, it's called "Pilot Body". Just assign a keyboard combo. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk

I haven't had a chance to look yet, but that may be in the General UI drop down tab. Usually it is RSHIFT P. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk

Hhmmm, strange, mine is the opposite. TAA makes everything look beautiful, but it introduces that crappy problem of bandits being translucent and disappearing right in front of you. However, I am running a Skylake i5-6600K with a 3060. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk

Lol, I was just about to ask the same thing. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk

Yea, I agree. Maybe the AI can draw from a respective FM repository when they are within X nm of the client, rather than each of them having the FM individually all of the time. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk

I have often wondered why the FM of the full fidelity modules can't be used by the AI modules. At least the aircraft would perform as they should, but you would still not have the human factors component. Something would be better than the current UFO behaviour, though. Cheers! Ins Alignment bug?
Scotch75 replied to Mtsgtgarcia's topic in F/A-18C Operation Cerberus North Campaign
Check the date of the mission. GPS may not exist, so IFA will not work, and it is back to the old way of doing a navigational fix every now and then. At least the Hornet can use TACAN for fixes. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk -

Lol... I've just been reading about the Reeperbahn in the George Harrison biography, where The Beatles (Quarrymen) did very early gigs before they were famous. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk
