  1. I'm worried because it doesn't specify if they are actually running.
  2. It is positioned on the forward bottom part of the joystick, by your pinkie. I assume you are not really supposed to use NWS at higher speeds during take off and landing, so that's why it's possible to turn it on and off.
  3. The Magnificent Eight 2.0!
  4. Great, enjoy the MiG now :)
  5. I think you need to post a video or screenshot since that track will show a normal cockpit on my computer.
  6. Great job! I really hope the rift is extremely immersive because right now eyes bleed when I see those screenshots, compared to my every day 1440x3440 display which I'm very happy with.
  7. I'm curious to see, could you post screen shots for comparison?
  8. I think the lever you are talking about is located below the throttle, almost at floor level.
  9. I think there is too much clear air icing in this game. I don't see how there could be ice forming whilst climbing into colder air with a warmer airframe. Descending into warmer more moist air with a cooled airframe, sure then I guess you could see ice building up without the need for visible moisture, ie clouds, for or precipitation.
  10. I would love to see the planned waypoints on the map, it would be great for low level navigation.
  11. Nice job Sid reporting all these bugs, hats off!
  12. I did ask for "anyone" but some1 will do ;) I agree, to me it sounds like a misinterpretation or a cheat.
  13. How does the "manual mode" actually work? I'm under the impression that the L-39 doesn't have an INS so I guess it uses airspeed and heading for dead reckoning. Similar to the AJ-37 we had in Sweden, though it had methods of updating its position using a radar or visual fix.
  14. I created a video a while back were I shoot an NDB approach into Mozdok (IIRC), it's not full of pictures, diagrams and animations like I wanted but there you go.
  15. I won't be able to recheck and confirm this for a few days but I think I had some problems with the new "enhanced visibility" feature and this mod. I believe the "Large" setting was enabled despite what I had selected in the options menu, when I was using this mod. Maybe I'm wrong but I just wanna throw it out there in case anyone else has a similar problem. I will try to repair my install once more and see if my observation were correct. Though I'm not sure I'll be able to do this until Friday.
  16. Fly visually using the F10 map as a reference, it's most enjoyable if you disable you own position on the map in game settings.
  17. This might not be a bug but it has been changed with the beta and it annoys me. In order to see small villages and other details on the F10 map, you have to zoom in quite far compared to earlier versions. This does, for example, make high speed low level navigation more difficult since you have to spend more time adjusting the map.
  18. I find the Mustang quite pleasant to land using the three point method described in the manual, if your speed is low it won't bounce and the landing roll will be very short.
  19. While airborne? No.
  20. As SNAFU is saying it is the aircraft reaction to crosswind in the air which is the problem. If you fly in a smooth 40 knot crosswind you should not notice this in any way except in reference to the ground (RSBN, Doppler, visually, RADAR etc). Right now the MiG behaves like others described above, ie. it yaws into the wind.
  21. Yes but it's rewarding and those skills carries over to every module for DCS!
