  1. I'm not at home to try this now but as someone mentioned above, the regular "*"-key stopped working for some modules. Try "RALT-*". Or if that doesn't work you can do what I did, just press the actual radio button on the throttle in the virtual cockpit.
  2. Okey. We used this method about two hours ago in 2.0.3 and it worked fine, the tooltips were gone after the mission creator and host re-saved and started up the mission again. Strange...
  3. The mission must be re-saved with tool tips off in the general settings, that's how we solved it.
  4. I guess the "zoom level" or magnification will affect the experienced scale but in oculus it has to be, and probably is, 1:1. Otherwise we would feel severely sick when using it. Yes we have a narrow field of view but I don't think that's the problem (for me), I think it has more to do with the in game distance between the two images in your headset.
  5. I have the same feeling. The joysticks in the 3D cockpits looks like they are made for kids.
  6. This error has been there since the module was released, I noticed it when my timings were constantly off while doing low level navigation. I compensated instead of reporting it... Good job!
  7. I think the improved FPS in 2.0 is due to a less amount of objects rendered when flying over most of the map. I guess Caucasus in 2.5 won't be much different than in 1.5.
  8. Thanks for the guide there Skate, I will try it out next week.
  9. I think this is due to the shared cockpit feature being completely incapable of handling any sort of lag. Once we were at least three machines with two crew each flying together when a MiG-21 spawned...we all went down in flames.
  10. It took me a week to get used to VR, give it a good while before buying stuff to remedy your problem.
  11. This is the worst part! They should be highly visible from at least 20 miles out.
  12. I agree! My experience is that the resolution is too low for the CV1 to replace my 34 inch 3440x1440 display in a practical sense. However. The feeling of sitting in the cockpit is so immersive that I'm willing to give up clarity and visibility for it. I've had my CV1 for a month or so now and I've only used my 2D screen for mission building and quick tests of scripts and such in said missions, simply because I don't need to be "immersed" in the mission building. I was a bit sceptical during my first days of use, mostly due to poor fitting on my face causing discomfort and also nausea (mainly from manuvering my aircraft in game, not so much from lag). Now I find myself using the headset for 4 hour sessions with my online community. Today I wear the imprints left on my face for a while afterwards with a smile! Except around any other real people that is...
  13. Just don't try one while waiting...I can't go back to 2D now.
  14. Flying as number 3 and rolling in on a target in a semi tight formation of L-39s, firing rockets and then egressing in trail.
  15. 8.3% worse. On a more serious note I can contribute to this by telling you I'm using the Rift over my glasses and it works fine. Perhaps you could invest in a smaller set of glasses?
  16. Yep, I watched all of those videos on my Google Cardboard before I got my CV1.
  17. I'm not really sure how to capture stereo video from the Oculus using Shadowplay at the moment...
  18. Jesus guys...How about helping instead of being pricks? Marcel, check out this thread over at the L-39 forum - > http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=166651 I haven't followed the discussion since the first few posts but it looked interesting a few days ago.
  19. I think this would cause severe nausea.
  20. I'd say ski goggles since binoculars zoom the view and actually help you spot stuff in the distance :megalol: Otherwise a great review and I agree with you. Though I'm having trouble seeing my self going back to my awesome 3440x1440 34" display, which I love btw, due to the VR immersion.
  21. I do believe you use numpad 5 to reset you position, at least for me with CV1.
  22. L-39! It's a really nice module for DCS and it comes with shared cockpit.
