After start-up in campaign mission 1 my compass (both magnetic standby and HSI) points in the wrong direction (off by almost 90 degrees). Anyone else notice that? Am I missing something in the startup (don't think so because the magnetic compass should need no external input, right?) :helpsmilie:

Looking forward to the Super Tucano. First modern plane with a glass cockpit, right?
-
It behaves exactly like this on my computer, too. Check the other forums, or even same forum, this is just one of the many issues that many users have with the latest alpha update. It's a DCS-wide problem, nothing to do specifically with the Mirage.

F-5E not working anymore after today's 2.0.5 update
wolle replied to strikers_blade's topic in DCS: F-5E
The funny thing is on my computer DCS starts whether or not I installed VC14??? First I installed it, then I uninstalled it, makes no difference, DCS 2.0 starts up (but misbehaves in either case, see various other posts) -
ac5, really nice summary. It behaves exactly like that on my end. I would even suggest that you double post this also in the main bugs forum to make sure the devs/moderators see it without having to look in a sub-forum.

Follow up to my post above: I have now simply uninstalled VC14, and the game starts up without noticing it missing (having the reported issues though when trying to fly the spitfire, etc)
-
Here it is! Thanks! It doesn't allow me to attach my logs since I already attached them in spitfire forum (please check there) bf109 track.trk
-
Thanks for looking into this, my logs are attached. Another question: I did install VC14 as instructed but is there a way to test if it installed properly? Because I heard for some windows users the game fires up even without installing this. So, the fact that my game fires up may not mean that VC14 is installed in the correct location. Logs.zip

You are not alone, my friend. I experience exactly the same problems. Let me know what you find out and if the complete reinstall helps!

see attached trk file. This seems to be just one example of the fact that 2.0 has gone beserk for some users with the latest updates (see similar reports for other aircraft in other forums. m2k track.trk

since I did today's update, many gauges in the Bf-109 don't work. If I do a simple free flight mission with start from runway, the fuel gauge shows zero, the temp gauges show zero, the landing gear lights don't work, and many more issues. Since today's update I have similar issues with many planes, this is the last bug report I'm gonna do today. For now, I'll just give up on 2.0:cry:
-
I'm having the exact same problems:cry:
-
I have exactly the same problems since today's update. Many animations don't work, when starting on runway I can put her in full throttle and she never starts rolling, and many, many more issues.

F-5E not working anymore after today's 2.0.5 update
wolle replied to strikers_blade's topic in DCS: F-5E
same problem here:cry: -
I guess my question is why doesn't DCS limit it so that I can't move my head outside the canopy. Once I hit the canopy with my head DCS should ignore further movements of the head, right?
-
Why not? Please explain. I can stick my head right through the canopy glass using the CV1, and I hope they'll fix that. Are you saying that can't be fixed because of VR limitations?
-
Great, thanks, that worked. Indeed axis seems to be bugged as it is only sensitive to half the value spectrum.

Hi, I have the radar MKR brightness axis assigned to my "friction" axis on the warthog. But I can't find a useful setting in "axis tune". No matter what I choose the radar reflection is essentially always totally bright or totally dark. Has anyone been able to set up the axis such that if my friction lever is in the middle the return brightness will be at default, when the lever is fully forward the returns are completely bright, and when the lever is completely backward the radar return is completely dark? Thanks!

With 1.5.6 Openbeta many stuttering...
wolle replied to Skulleader's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
same here, even in the 1.5.6 release version. 1.5.6 seems to be a bit better fps wise than 1.5.5, but much worse regarding stuttering. Stuttering seems to occur if you look in a new direction or fly in a new direction. It's therefore possibly related to the way new terrain data is loaded. 1.5.5 did a much better job at that. -
What setting (value) is going to be the most realistic? Is it 100?

Operation Sand Viper Las Vegas is under attack from all sides by Russian armored divisions. The primary locations of these attacks are near Moapa (north eastern AO), Creech AFB (north western AO, Creech AFB is held by the Russians) and Pahrump (western AO). This is a mission for the blue side with single player slots for A2A, ground attack, SEAD and helicopter missions. Enemy A2A activates only if player chooses A2A slot, enemy SAMs (other than MANPADS) activate only if player chooses Su-25T slot. Blue task: Eliminate Russian armored divisions at three AOs. CAS flights are supported by JTAC and AFAC. North eastern AO: JTAC Axeman, 31 MHz FM, AFAC Enfield 126 MHz AM North western AO: JTAC Darknight, 32 MHz FM, AFAC Springfield 127 MHz AM Western AO: JTAC Warrier, 33 MHz FM, AFAC Uzi 128 MHz AM Three FARPs are being erected (and are almost operational) near the AOs to add helicopter CAS capability to the battle field. Make a FARP operational by sling-loading in supplies (see briefing image for location) from Nellis. Once the cargo has been delivered, the Gazelle flight at the FARP will be unlocked. Also the FARP will be populated with friendly support units and SAMs. One friendly armored group per AO has run out of materiel and needs to be resupplied by helicopter sling load before it can rejoin the battle. Use F10 menu to get status update on sling load tasks. One enemy armored group per AO has run out of materiel and is being resupplied by truck convoy before it can rejoin the battle. Eliminate these truck convoys. Use F10 menu to get status update on the latest truck convoy sightings. Hueys (and Gazelles) are also tasked with CSAR [use F10 menu to see CSAR list]. Rescue a pilot by flying to its location and land within 100 m. For game-play reasons this completes the rescue, and a new AI fighter plane will spawn. A heavy transport is in a holding orbit about 100 clicks ESE of Las Vegas (WP 4 for friendly F-15s and Mirages). If you are confident that you can provide escort cover for this plane, use F10 menu to send it to McCarran. Once the transport flight arrives at McCarran, a Patriot site will spawn at McCarran. Georgian Su-25T flights are to provide SEAD. AWACS Overlord is on 124 MHz AM Sand Viper Feb 5.miz

CSAR homing beacons not working in MP only in SP
wolle replied to IanCassels's topic in Mission Editor
It's buggy as far as I know. Homing signals in MP have been highly unreliable at best for years. Several people have pointed this out during the years, but it seems to be very low on ED's bug fix list. And that's a shame, since it adds so much to helo missions especially.:( -
Pretty close to a game-breaker though, because the zoom function for the VR is now essentially unusable. Let's hope ED can fix it soon.

From what I read on the 1.5.6 Open Beta forum, this is a 1.5.6 issue, not specific to the Viggen.
