Intakes and Afterburners are different depending on weather its a GE or Pratt engine. Lufteinlass und Nachbrenner sind unterschiedlich, abhängig davon, ob es ein General Electrics oder Pratt & Whitney Triebwerk ist.

Hi, i tried to map the buttons 30-32 (technicaly left,middle,right mouse button) within DCS, and it never worked. Today i decided to check the setting in windows, and havent found any checkbox or something to make them work. However, i went back to DCS and checked if the button number would be in the dropdown list when you try to asign a button, and it was there. Long story short: When the "Saitek X52 Flight Controller Properties" window is open in the background, i CAN use those buttons within DCS. Could anyone confirm this? Would that be a DCS behaviour? Or would it be a windows "problem"? Thanks, RR

its a general statement not directed to a specific person, a short fact list if you will.

- DCS will be updated in the future - Mods will brake because of that - ED is NOT responsible for user made mods - some will not update them (understandable and fine with it) - some will update their mods (thanks a lot!) comes down to this, maybe sad for some mods, but having an evolving DCS is more important. However, it WOULD be nice to have the user mod section on the website cleaned up. PS: Thanks to all modders for their work.

As a sidenote, all Russian made aircraft have speed in kmh displayed, except the MiG-29G, which is essentialy an A version upgraded for the german Luftwaffe. Same for altitude with meters instead of feet. Anyway, the Huey is realy a joy to fly, if it only had the multicrew stuff already..... when we get it, i have already a few people to train them in helo flying :D Go for it, enjoy it, pure flying without helping systems ;)

the KA-50 speed is in KM/H, so the top speed is arount 300km/h or 164kts. Faster then the Huey? yes, 150 knt faster? no.

When you start DCS the first time a day it looks for updates, if you are connected to the internet of course. You can always start that process manualy from your start menu entries: "DCS Update". DCS Updates all mods you own and the core client automaticly in that process. Version number: In DCS you find the Version number in the bottom right corner, you can crosscheck it with the one noted on the last post in this threat: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=214251&page=2 for the stable version.

As much as i would like a Tornado, the A-6 has one possible bonus there: I think HB already was in contact with Northrop Grumman for the F-14 licence, so talking about the A-6 that is also from Northrop Grumman is possibly more easy than getting a licence for the Tornado. Either way, i like to see both airframes in DCS :)

Hi folks, i would like to ask, how the communication of the crew is managed. Like who is talking to traffic control, who talks on landing, who talks to AWACS, etc. If someone knows, or maybe any real world former F-14 driver could explain, it would be much appreciated. Thanks & happy landing, RR

i would believe this was all sorted the last 3 years, because if it wasnt, they would not have revealed the upcoming F-16C for that they must have a licence to be allowed to publish it, as with all other modules that fall into that category. so bottom line: all is fine, and we dont need a statement at all. ;)

Well, nice free map would be Korea, but that would also sell realy good, so i guess no. The Caribbean (Cuba?) would be an interesting theater as well. But for the free map i place my bet on the Hawaian Islands, just got that feeling.....
