  1. VHF Frequencies use FM now instead of AM, that's why as far as I can tell Edit: Radio two uses the FM Band for all frequency ranges and I have not found a way to shange it back to AM, so yeah, as far as ingame comms are concerned the second radio is inop.
  2. Same Problem here. dcs.log.old dcs.log-20230923-144143.zip
  3. Yup same issue here. This shouldn't be happening. I shouldn't have to redo all the settings whenever this happens. Every warbird will have Take Off Assist at 100% and the trim settings for helis are borked.
  4. Same issue here. I used this to get rid of the mask in order to stream DCS at a higher resolution and take screenshots without the need to crop afterwards. I would appreciate the option to disable the mask. Best would be an option in the VR settings of DCS but having the hmd.fx excluded from the integrity check would work just as well.
  5. In the VR tab of the options menu, make sure you have "Use DCS System Resolution" under VR Mirror Options unchecked:
  6. Well you can reduce RAM usage by lowering your preload radius. I am also flying in VR (Reverb G2) and the Missions we run are pretty heavy on performance. The nice thing is that thanks to multithreading I get ~60fps at pretty high details on busy servers. On the other hand PvP focused servers with static ground targets like the PO WWII server take far less RAM (anywhere between 10GB to 36GB depending on how busy it is. The most obvious improvement going from 32GB to 64GB was that all stutters went away and loading times improved massively.
  7. For singleplayer it's fine but in large multiplayer missions I wouldn't want any less than 64GB. Especially if you're in the habit of having a browser with lots of tabs open in the background. I see ~45GB used by DCS on a regular basis when I am flying online, especially in scenarios like foothold where there's lots of units active at any time.
  8. It will be a big improvement but if your budget allows for it I'd go for a current gen CPU, so either 13th gen Intel or AMD R9 7950X3D
  9. As I said, the best upgrade for you right now is without question the CPU, I had the same CPU (albeit with 32GB DDR4-2800) and even two years ago it massively throttled my 2070.
  10. OP is on an i7 6700k with pretty slow RAM. That thing is ancient. I gained 20fps on an RTX2070 when I switched from an i7 6700k to my R9 5900X over two years ago. With MT the difference will probably much greater.
  11. Definitely CPU and Mobo and RAM. The CPU is without question the primary bottleneck. Either go for an Intel 13th Gen CPU (probably best option right now) or an AMD R9 7950X3D (if you can get your hands on one and budget allows for it). The best AMD option will most likely be the 7800X3D when it releases but it's not out yet.
  12. No performance issues here, just the bug with the left mirror (image in the mirror gets stuck when you look left). I do have a pretty high end rig though.
  13. I managed to (mostly) fix my fps issues with the latest patches (this applies mainly to VR). Here's what I did: Someone in my squadron suggested I rename my DCS saved games folder and let DCS create a new one. This helped immediately, I was almost back at pre-patch performance albeit at lower graphics settings (more on that later). I then started copying back folders from my previous saved games folder and when I copied the scripts folder my performance tanked. I managed to single out SRS as the culprit - a reinstall helped to regain performance. Now the biggest thing for VR performance was that I forgot about holger's openvr FSR mod that I used. Obviously the game overwrites the custom openvr_api.dll when you run an update. I completely forgot about that and reapplying the mod brought my performance back to (almost) pre-patch levels. There is still an issue with performance when looking at smoke that I had not experienced pre patch in this way but it is not unplayable anymore.
  14. Here's my log file and a track from SoW earlier today. Before the update I used to fly at +60fps in VR, now, at the same settings it's down to sometimes under 45fps, which is a massive drop. Track: https://we.tl/t-NfKnR2v7gM dcs.log
  15. Noticed this as well. Went from pretty much 60+ FPS in VR (Reverb G2) to something like 45-50fps. I will attach DCS.log etc in the morning
  16. Multiplayer tracks are automatically saved to your DCS World folder under saved games. \user\*yourusername*\saved games\DCS.openbeta\Tracks\Multiplayer
  17. Check this out regarding trim: As to your other points I don't agree. From what I have read the Mossie is actually quite tail havy, whether it is correct or overdone in DCS is not something I am qualified to judge. I have flown the Mossie quite a lot since release and I have to say she is a joy to fly in formation and also in combat. I would say it is actually an excellent gun platform. Very stable and precise, plus the 20mm cannons are absolutely wrecking everything that comes in front of your nose.
  18. While I have not done proper speed tests in the Mossie the numbers for the lower altitudes do seem quite close to what I see in-game. It might need some tweaking but it seems to be quite good already, you'd have to run some proper tests. Make sure you mod your trim sensitivity when you do this because the current sensitivity doesn't allow for fine enough adjustments to trim the aircraft properly.
  19. Returning from intercepting bombers Luftwaffe fighters find themselves a lonely Spitfire
