  2. ^This! If you're careful on the stick you'll notice vibrations just before the accelerated stall. Thing is the P-51 only gives you very little time to correct that so if you're pulling too hard you can't react fast enough.

  5. I haven't seen any of this in the original manual either. The manual provided by ED is pretty much a copy of it.
  6. Total capacity 150/220lbs... I see no error there. In case you didn't figure it out yet 150 = 2x75, 220 = 2x110
  7. Yes, tankers are completely broken atm. Sometimes one has to wondor how something like this happens. I mean it shouldn't take more than 5min to test something like this. I don't think I've ever been connected for more than 4min before my tanks were full.
  8. To specify, aerial refueling was a little bit broken before the patch, now it's completely broken. When you connect to a tanker it will immediatly disconnect you with the message "Transfer complete. Disconnect.". Regardless of how much fuel you actually have in the tank.

  10. Thanks guys ;) Practice, practice practice... If there is a tanker in a mission I'll most likely use it at least once. Very useful for longer missions like Operation Bactria or the Seperatists Aggression Campaign
  11. That was impressive. I haven't flown the Mustang in a while. Pretty sure my first few landings will be pretty bad when I get back to it. Even under optimal conditions^^ xD
  12. yeah they sometimes do this, I don't know why... but it happens from time to time. Never if there are other A-10s waiting behind me though ;)
  13. I finally remembered to record one of my refuel attempts and I didn't lose contact once! I have done this before, obviously. Sadly i didn't record my first attempts back in January where I failed miserably. Would have been a nice comparison :D YmJpsd8bN7s
  14. As OP stated, ILS/TACAN is working, just no audio signal. If the ATC is sending you to a runway that doesn't have ILS (e.g. Kolkhi runway 27 in Dragon's Weaponstraining because of Wind) it won't work in my experience, even when you ignore ATC and land on runway 09.

  16. I don't know. It was really weird but they were almost head on. It was uncomfortably close. I'll take a look at the track tomorrow.
  17. Can you take a look at the racetrack of the tankers in the Weaponstraining? They almost crashed into each other just a few minutes ago. I was behind Texaco when the other tanker passed just a few hundred feet away. I wouldn't have noticed if the tanker hadn't suddenly pulled up.

I have a problem specifically with alt tab which may be related to long loading times I experience in the Huey (see here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=105217 ) Basically after respawning several times I can't Alt tab to my main Monitor. Show desktop doesn't work at all. I can work on my second monitor but that's only 1024x768 The game is in windowed mode. To fix it I need to go back to the main editor or main menu. This is a problem specifically because I host quite a lot for our small dcs community. And sometimes I just need to tab out. I will test if this occurs with other DCS Modules as well and report back Edit: Ok. After switching aircraft and alt tabbing like crazy (A-10, Ka-50, P-51D, Su-25) for about 20 minutes I can savely say it only happens with the Huey. Time from pressing play until I spawn in the aircraft in descending order (multiplayer): A-10C: 2 - 5 seconds, first time after mission is loaded takes about 5seconds after that less. Ka-50: 1.5 - 3 seconds, first time 3sec after that mostly around 2sec P-51D: <1 - 1sec, first time about 1 sec after that less than 1sec Su-51D: <1sec - instantanously. I'm always almost instandly in the cockpit after pressing play Now here's what just happened in the huey: first time: ~45-50 seconds then always that 30-40 seconds After 5-10 respawns I can't tab out to my main monitor.
  19. What systems do you guys have? Overall I get great performance in all DCS aircraft in 1.2.4. The Huey is on the same level as the Kamov for me. Lights tank a little (up to 10fps less than normal) but that's about it. Performance in the A-10C is about the same but in low level flight it has a lot improved for me since 1.2.3 30-50fps (with lights around 30-35, without 40-50) at low level in the Huey, ~60 at altitude no matter what (except maybe CBUs, I didn't try them yet). Smoke and fire has less impact than lights now. No benchmarks, just what I noticed flying around in MP in the last days. Host & Client.

  21. I have a small Problem when flying the Huey (only with the huey) which is not game breaking but pretty annoying. While the loading time for all other aircraft has improved to the point where there can't be much improvement with the next patch, when I join a game in the Huey it takes up to 45 seconds from pressing play until I spawn. The game never crashed so far but Alt Tab becomes a problem after joining in the Huey a few times but this may also be the case with other aircraft, I still need to test that. This happens in multiplayer and singleplayer, game is in windowed mode because I need to alt tab a lot. Windows 7 64Bit, installed on a 7600rpm HDD, not on one of my SSDs because I don't have enough free space on them. My system is in the sig. If you need any additional information please specify. The performance itself is great though. Never below 30 fps yesterday when I hosted a public server. At times there were about 20 people on (across all DCS Aircraft). Most times about 40-50fps. It doesn't cause lag on the server (I asked several times). I don't want to reinstall world completely until I have tried everything so any suggestions are welcome. Thank you! Are there any tweaks I could try before reinstalling World? I defragged my harddrive with no result (was only 0.12% defragged anyway) tried different settings, removed texture mod - nothing.

I've flown a few rounds this evening with our small DCS group, incredibly fun, hard to hover and sooo rewarding once you get the hang of it (I'm not saying I can hover, just that I managed it for a few seconds before I started oscillating). Also, those guns are damn sweet! I know what I'm going to do when I get home tomorrow!
  24. Most missions I played have the tankers at 15000-20000ft, 170-200KIAS and a tacan frequency. I usually just intercept the tanker and crawl up behind it. That being said it's usually community made missions in Multiplayer. I never touched SP missions. If I wanted to train refuelling offline I'd just put down a tanker at 15000-20000ft and fly. The standard tacan frequency is 1X if you don't change it in the editor.
