I would love a native language option, not only for German planes but also for other nations (i.e. russian).
And please give the Spitfire pilots British accents while you're at it :D
Maybe you are approaching Mach 0.92/0.93 or 550KIAS at low altitude. That's roughly the speed where the aircraft tends to roll left/right and becomes really hard to control.
Exactly.
@OP: I don't understand why you'd want to set up your HOTAS that way. Some examples: As Sabredog stated, I don't think it would be possible to hold the speedbrake at a specific setting with that setup and you would have to manually hold the speedbrake to keep it extended which would be tiring on something like the landing approach.
All in all, the setup you want sounds more like a hinderence to me.
I thought it would be a good Idea to have a video thread in here so the forum doesn't get rolled over with new threads. Post your videos here if you like.
I'll start with this one:
According to the description when I pledged it was all for flyables (including P-51) + DCSW P51, no mention of the time when I would get it so if I get it on release that would be ok for me.
Well just to be clear - what I pledged for at the time was 5 flyables + 1reward, excluding FW 190 for DCS World. I just hope you guys can figure out this mess.
€dit: I don't care if I get it instantly or later, it didn't state WHEN I'd get my reward ;)
IIRC there wasn't even an option for $65 when I pledged so this would really suck for me and others that choose this level.
Edit: As I remeber it was $10, $20, $30, $40, $50, $60, $90 and then the higher tiers at the point of my pledge ...
Well the Process was kind of a mess. But when I pledged via the DCS Website there was an option for $50 which included all flyables, $60 which was all flyables + one reward (including P-51D for DCS world after Kickstarter) and then $90 which included 2 rewards, among them the FW 190 for DCS World. And to be sure I can select my reward as I expected *shrug*
It's $60. That's what I pledged and it's the tier with 1 selectable reward - one of which was the P-51D as per description when I pledged. FW 190 was $90 IIRC
Entering coordinates (lat/long, MGRS, Bullseye) is the most obvious one. Then you have stuff like creating a flight plan, divert page etc.
I'd say start with entering coordinates and then go from there. The CDU has a lot of functions.
Thanks for letting me know ;)
Yes, I made them fly faster (220KIAS). I feel it's a little bit easier to refuel at that speed. I have no problems getting to about 240-250KIAS at 17000ft with ~2000lbs of fuel left and a loadout of 2 Sidewinders, TGP, ALQ, 2 Mavs and 4 500lbs bombs, so an intercept isn't really a problem.
It just works... if you plugin the Warthog HOTAS and then start DCS you get a default profile for the A-10C where everything is already mapped as it should be except for Trim. So I just remove the modifiers on the trim hat, assign gear up/down and put zoom on the slider. That's it. All the three way switches just work and in the options the middle position is greyed out.
Edit:
Here's how the options Menu for the LASTE category looks for me:
I'm just wondering - why would you combine stick and throttle?
For the A-10C the Warthog HOTAS has always been pretty much plug&play for me. Just a few changes because I have trackIR and like to have zoom and gear up/down on my HOTAS.
