Indeed. Another opinion and your welcome to it of course. But it's important for both sides of the coin to be exposed. I've owned the Odyssey, 5K+, Reverb and the Index. I have an 8KX on order too. VR can be great at times in DCS but its definitely not the panacea some make it out to be. I'm convinced the concept is the future. But right now we might still be in the Betamax, Minidisc or Myspace phase. Just my opinion of course.

Unfortunately VR is still a heavily compromised experience in DCS. Worth it at times, and not in others.

A 2080ti will give 20-30% better fps in VR vs a 1080ti. IN absolute terms that means going from 35fps to 42 fps. But it may be enough to give you better experience.

Yes exactly. So set CR to 170% and PD to 1.0. Observe frame times and image quality. Then set CR to 100% and PD to 1.3. Observe same frame times and image quality. So no need for complicated voodoo combinations of the two. Just use one and titrate to your preference.

Aren't all the settings just multipliers? I've tried various combinations and it seems to me it doesn't really matter whether you increase the Custom Resolution and decrease the PD or vice versa. For a given "total" the end image quality and fps is the same. 2x4=8 or 1x8=8.

What difference does it make changing the Steam Custom resolution vs the DCS PD setting?

Can that be a global option? There might be a special place in hell for the guy who insists on baked on cockpit reflections in all DCS modules. There is time yet to repent.

ED say they see no (relative) profit in russian modules, sadly. Also, as much as I'd like ANY Mig29/Su27, the game really needs a SM3/SMT+ variant.
