Saw this today. Apparently they will only target aircraft that are designated by their instructions. So I set them to CAP, removed the CAP -a option that was making them go after everything regardless of the ROE setting and then set them to search and engage two player groups. In this way they don't engage the enemy E-2C and Carrier escort, but are fully willing to take out the players. It's better than WEAPONS FREE in my scenario, because with that they'll go after carrier group aircraft I don't want them to if they head far enough south to go after the players, and better than WEAPONS HOLD or RETURN FIRE, because I don't want them to hesitate attacking the player group.

The only problem I have is that the pedals are further off the ground than the Saiteks. My legs bang into the desk when I use breaks. Using a different lowe chair when I fly helps some, but it's still tight. Fortunately for flying its not bad so its just a matter of adjusting my posture when I land; wish the profile was a little lower is all. The full foot pedals are very easy to get used to otherwise.

To be fair the realism setting people have suggested isn't a bad idea. People know you can't possibly do 100% realism for a lot of reasons and I think they are more than understanding when someone says it's classified or it's something normally only the ground crew could do, but we added the ability in the MFD (HOF in the A-10C), etc. But where reasonable we usually like as close to realism as possible. Zues says the other planes should have the problem, GGTharos says they don't. As soon as someone gets around to pointing to the technical documentation on 3 MiG29 variants, the 21, F-15C, Su-27, and Su-33 I'll believe whichever camp. My stint in the military taught me never to believe 'spoken' word. Either way it doesn't really matter; just go for as realistic as reasonable. What was reasonable in FC2 may be simplistic with todays methods and computing power. I love the M-2000C don't get me wrong. It's a blast to fly. But my understanding from the quick start is that the jammer presently doesn't work at all. After reading this thread I am not sure if that's true or not, but either way it suffers due to short missile range thanks to the long standing DCS problem with missiles and at least what I perceive as a near total lack of countermeasures right now. Missiles are sailing at you long before you can hope to hit due to the short range of missiles, right or wrong. A stronger jammer to force them in closer before firing would be welcome, for my part. Re: the unrealistic weapons, people are trying to get their multirole dream fulfilled. Some people love A-A, some A-G and a multirole has something for everyone. They're probably people who like A-G and are just trying to find a way to use this aircraft the way they want, even if it wasn't meant for it. I like A-G more, but some A-A for a change is always welcome, thouhh again that's just me. Anyway, don't take it as wanting unrealistic stuff; if anything take it as people who like A-G wanting to be excited about your interceptor.

4's not really a lot. One is VERY limited. FWIW you can edit a carrier on and get more ships with copy paste, which allows more space for Su-33's, which on some bases seem limited in the parking spots they can use along with 27's, tomcats, hornets and other 'large' jets. Not very realistic, but again it gets more runway in the map. Don't forget FARPs for choppers either. If you want a map where it's been done already happy to share...

470 is awefully high for the 6700k.... I think MSRP is around 325 or 350. When they first came out they were in short supply and vendors were jacking up the price anywhere from 500-5000+ dollars. I had parts sitting for a second build for a couple weeks until I got lucky and got another for a reasonable price. Not sure what the situation is now, but it may be similar. I guess it could be where you are, but 270 seems sane for the 6600k.... For gaming I'd push for the i7 if it were a matter of 50 bucks. 200 is pushing it though; look around to see if you can get a better deal. Edit: quick search suggests they'll remain in short supply for awhile yet. See if you can't sign up for notice when Amazon (themselves, not other vendors) gets some in stock. That's one place I got them at the proper price; they sold out in hours if not minutes and may well still, so yoj'll have to act quick.

That same damage has occurred to me in the Su-25T. The aircraft just fishtails uncontrollably and you swiftly lose control. Yet I've seen the AI land no problem on multiple occasions with the same. I think it's just the AI issue where they either fly like it's fine, or they're dead.

Think lighting and weather conditions play a roll in max range too.

AV's often identify legitimate programs as potential threats just because they can be used for nefarious purposes. I've seen this with eveything from vnc to nmap and in between. Could even be that the heuristics need to be tweaked.

At the end of the torrent it uncompressed it then installed. I think it was the same size either way, just not packaged/compressed quite the same.

Steam didn't want to do rolling periodic imports of keys; I'm quite sure a giant one (last) time import could be arranged... if not, then yes, it would be a bad idea.

That's only true for as long as the torrent client is running to upload data. How does that work exactly with an updater that runs and exits?

I had 0.0 Kbps download for awhile. while uploading at .6 mbps. I'm 1/5th of the way there now going at barely better than dial up speeds. I'm sorry you hate paying for bandwidth for downloads, but this is in absolutely no way a better experience for your customers. If you want fast downloads without having to pay for it directly and save us all a headache in the process: Ditch starforce DRM in favor of Steam DRM. Use Steam as your soul distributor 2 birds with one stone. We're happy, you're happy, everyone's happy.

Thank you! I've been nailed by this in 1.5 and plugging and unplugging USB devices I was building to many times. The 21 definitely seems more finicky than other modules, so I'll be glad to see a fix. I'm already down to 5 activations and no way have I installed it more than 2 or 3 times...

I'd for one love to see a weapon select increase/decrease in addition to the 1-0 and - keys. Mapping 11 buttons where two, or even one in a desperate pinch, could do the job is crazy. I have an encoder (works in the same way that this switch does - spins infinitely in either direction) that would be perfect for this function. To be clear I am not arguing that the other 11 should necessarily go away, but having an option to emulate what the left/right click does would be nice.

I got mine in the mail today. Just set them up and tested them a little. My first impression is that these things are utterly amazing! So much less wobbling taxiing the A-10, nice subtle adjustments in the Mi-8, etc. Worth the wait and money. Order if you haven't! :D
