Perhaps. I'll try to have a look shortly, need to finally sort out the radio problems as I don't think fix from ED is coming anytime soon...

Mission 06 - Suggestion
baltic_dragon replied to speed-of-heat's topic in DCS: F-16C The Gamblers Campaign
I don't have any control over where he lands or even if he ejects properly (took me a few hours to set the triggers to make him eject almost every time). Also, unfortunately we can't place shot down pilots on the water (never understood why this wasn't added to DCS yet). So you have to forgive some of the shortcuts... -
Thoughts on the campaign

@gonvise moreover, the campaign will reset time to 1x whenever something important happens, so you won't miss anything while accelerating. -
Just Finished ...

first strike mission, ai planes dont take off
baltic_dragon replied to wct24's topic in DCS: F-16C The Gamblers Campaign
@Soundman766 @Alkaline @Backsoon @wct24 Guys I understand you completely, but please for a moment put ourselves in our boots (as 3rd party campaign devs): we spend months if not years building campaigns, testing them, updating them in the process to the changing DCS ecosystem (which is a good thing that it evolves!). Then we ship them out, working as intended (with Gamblers there was just one minor hiccup at the start). But then the map update breaks ALL of the missions. Trust me, you couldn't find the more annoyed person than myself when I learned about it.. but then together with some people helping me (big shoutout to Jakes and Gumidek) we just started going over each mission in order to fix what has been broken without our knowledge and involvement. This is the way things work and I think no matter how much controls, tests etc we have, these things will keep happening, with so many 3rd party devs. Yes, I agree Ugra should have communicated with us better - and as far as I know this part of the things (in general) is being addressed. I have to say ED has been very responsive to us and is putting in place different safeguards and systems that will minimize the waiting time for campaign fixes. In the meantime I guess everyone has to just be patient.. all the Gamblers missions should work as advertised as soon as the patch is there. The worst approach for us, as small devs is when people get upset with ED / Ugra / whoever and stop buying our 10$ campaigns as a sign of protest. Trust me, it hits people like myself most. -
Mission 4: Weasel 52 doesn't start taxiing
baltic_dragon replied to SexyTomato's topic in DCS: F-16C The Gamblers Campaign
This is not my fault @Soundman766, we have no control over the patch cycle. Ugra media broke the campaign with their map update, and there was no hot fix until - hopefully - today. We're trying to figure out a way ahead with ED so this doesn't happen again in the future. But we are at patch cycle mercy and we have absolutely nothing to say about it as campaign devs. -
I think I might have fixed the missing fence out call.. and as for the AI, he is told to wait, maybe some trigger didn't fire. I saw after recent internal updates that some checkboxes silencing the AI stopped working suddenly..

We did include some fixes to M3 for the next patch, I hope they solve this problem!
-
Prince mission 5 has been updated and will be working like a charm (I hope) as of next update. We'll have a look at M01.
-
I can assure you that the birds are off (so no strikes) and all the random failures are off. Maybe you have them enabled in general options in your DCS? I'd check that.

Hey, some of the missions don't have the new datalink system implemented, there simply were too many hot fixes I had to take care of with the last patches I didn't have time to move back and update older campaigns. Also, I was waiting for the taxi directors - now that they are coming, I am first updating both Raven One campaigns to work with them flawlessly out of the box, and then for December I will refresh all the Dominant Fury missions to remove space bar presses, streamline radio procedures and add data link everywhere. Bear with me please!
-
@Mike_CK I am completely dependent on ED. I've fixed the missions two days after we learned about the trouble, but I have to wait for ED to release the patch. And I believe that the delay is caused by final touches to taxi directors - compiling even a hotfix is not as easy as most people think unfortunately...
-
Unfortunately. Good news they are all internally fixed. I love having to spend hours to fix some other people's mistakes, LOL

investigating Mission 9 Fence In no debriefing briefing and
baltic_dragon replied to speed-of-heat's topic in Bugs & Problems
Thanks. The static sometimes happens and is linked to under-the-hood changes to radio system, can't really keep up with all that... glad though you managed to fix this. As for the fence in / out I will check and fix. -
Guys, this is internally fixed after being broken by Ugra with their Syria map update. They basically killed all the Gamblers missions without any communication from their side. It should be working fine as of the upcoming patch. Completely out of my hands and probably even more upset then you are with the whole situation...
-
Thanks @speed-of-heat we will check that!

Thoughts on the campaign
baltic_dragon replied to happyhappy's topic in DCS: F-16C The Gamblers Campaign
Thanks. Yes, the SAVE function would be amazing to have.. but there is no way to make a complex and realistic mission that would last 30 minutes... As for the follow-up, I did what I could - I immediately fixed all the missions and as everyone else have been waiting for the patch to release them. Not much more I could do, unfortunately... -
Mission 4: Weasel 52 doesn't start taxiing
baltic_dragon replied to SexyTomato's topic in DCS: F-16C The Gamblers Campaign
Yes, all the missions were broken by Syria map update by Ugra. All are also internally fixed - just waiting for the next patch to hit.. -
Indeed, this was broken by the Syria map update which we had no idea and no info about. I think the process of compiling the update is much more complicated than just creating a hot fix from campaign missions, and since there are final touches being made to the taxi directors we need to wait for these to be completed.. I think we are pretty close. Sorry about the frustration, guess we all have to learn to live with that, DCS being a super complex exosystem with a lot of moving parts.

Hey, apologies for late reply here. I did reply in Bugs section quite a lot and while you are right that I was pretty p***d off, I just did what I had to do and fixed all the missions broken by the Syria update myself. AFAIK missions 8-13 should already be working fine, while 1-7 will be working fine as of the next week patch. If you encounter any problems in the last missions, do let me know! BTW, I do check these forums but the quickest way to reach me is via my Discord channel, I am monitoring that one almost constantly - so if you have any questions feel free to reach out directly and chat @gonvise. Thanks!

No Taxi on Missions, Unplayable
baltic_dragon replied to snickersmcflurry's topic in Bugs & Problems
Yes, it's been all over the forums - latest change to Syria map by Ugra broke the taxi logic on all airfields. I managed to fix Incirlik ones with the last patch, and the rest will start working again as of the next one. Sorry about that, this was completely out of my hands.. -
When will the campaign be fixed?...
