fixed internally Mission 4 Tornadoes don't attack SAM
baltic_dragon replied to Vlad 1606689034's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hey vlad. Sorry, I was so overwhelmed by day job and travels I had very little time for DCS. Going to fix it for the next update! -
Hey! Reported, I'll have it fixed by the next update! EDIT: looks like DCS does not record Max and Dutch F-16s in their anchor zones. Working on it. EDIT 2: fixed! @ChR-54 @Big-foot @winther101 did you notice the same happening in M07 too?

We've talked to Rain - we both have a lot on our plates, but probably we'll get back to it seriously within the next month. I need to finish working on new Raven One, which takes much more time than I thought it would (but also due to the fact that I have almost zero free time after normal job and family). Can't wait to jump back on it!

Normally they should, and it is a black magic why they do in some missions and don't in others. It may be because they are hidden on the map, but in that case this is clearly a DCS bug.

Mission 2 dialogue missing.

Haha, as replied elsewhere - will update it, thanks. -
Mission 10 - Next level formation flying etc
baltic_dragon replied to andhog's topic in F/A-18C Raven One Campaign
Hey @andhog, thanks for this post. As for first part - difficulty - in real life you'd probably have more time on deck, but in DCS there is no way to keep all those flights there and then make them take off in order. I still think there is quite a lot of time, given that player takes off last, and you don't have to follow your FL until you get to the hold point. But the bottom line is: yes, it is meant to be difficult, task saturated as it is in real life. That is the whole idea behind Raven One AI behaviour in flight is entirely on the DCS, I spent hours trying to tweak it, but it is completely out of mine (and other campaign devs) hands. I hear that coming patch is supposed to bring some improvements there, we'll see. The last part - I'll look into it, you are right it should be done much earlier. -
No I didn't.. I am was so busy with day job since war started that it really affected my (already limited) DCS capabilities (for instance that is why I was missing from the forums for over a week). I'll try to put this together as soon as I have some time, maybe next week!

Hey! This part is a bit of artistic license, we used the exact wording from the novel. I'll see if I could include it somewhere. I knew it would return to bite me in the a**.

Mission 14, briefed formation position error
baltic_dragon replied to Stretch's topic in F/A-18C Raven One Campaign
Hey! It doesn't matter where you are, it is just important that you DO NOT get above 1000 AGL (even if AI sometimes does, this is out of my hands...) Also, don't use auto start, as it enables the radar at some point. Just fly in a loose formation from the S-3 and stay below 1000 with no emissions and you should be fine! -
dcs bug Mission 5 - Bug Report
baltic_dragon replied to Salvin49's topic in F/A-18C Raven One Campaign
This mission was I think one of the most difficult ones to build, given the DCS AI quirks... and I am happy it still works (more or less). Finishing second part of Raven One campaign, with completely new 15 sorties.. going to be fun. -
not a bug Mission 2, Biff doesn't take off
baltic_dragon replied to Colonel Akir Nakesh's topic in Bugs and Problems
The Taxi bug should be solved with the last update, but I will have a look if all is fine there. -
fixed Mission 6 - No response to Taxi clearance
baltic_dragon replied to intruder11's topic in Bugs and Problems
@intruder11 you are right, there was a typo in the frequencies in lua file. Fixed now. -
feedback Mission 9 Experiences
baltic_dragon replied to Ready's topic in A-10C Iron Flag Part I Campaign
Unfortunately, sticking to the flight plan is necessary in these campaigns... but then again, you'd be kindly "asked" to do it if you were a real military pilot, right? -
feedback Mission 10 Experiences
baltic_dragon replied to Ready's topic in A-10C Iron Flag Part I Campaign
This apparently should have been solved by the latest patch @Schattenwaran- finally, as this stupid AI bug was haunting the campaign from the start and there was nothing I could do about it... -
OK. Do you have your engine ON and APU running while using the FM radio? I'm pretty certain there is a user error involved (radios can be quite tricky, and it is entirely my fault that I always insist of using full realism with radios, no 'sound to all' thing). We'll sort it out. Perhaps you could post a track so we can check what is happening? Also - make sure FM is set to MAN mode.

Thank you for all your kind words, gents! I really appreciate it. The credits for writing most of the stuff (barring two missions I think) goes to @Doughboy! And relatively bug-free campaign and docs to excellent group of beta testers: @Yurgon, @Highwayman-Ed and a few others!

investigating tacan issue Mission 6 Experiences
baltic_dragon replied to Ready's topic in A-10C Iron Flag Part I Campaign
I am pretty sure A-A TACAN is currently bugged in DCS. Had lots of trouble in new Raven One as well. I believe this is reported. -
fixed Mission 10: Biff won't pass apex = stucked
baltic_dragon replied to Schattenwaran's topic in A-10C Iron Flag Part I Campaign
Yeah, this was the biggest issue that bugged the campaign from the start (actually, introduced in the same patch which released the campaign, so we didn't see it coming). Glad it is solved. -
Problems with using dictation in the Kneeboard
baltic_dragon replied to baltic_dragon's topic in VAICOM
Hornet. I got it to work by enabling the "extended command set", however I have another question: is it possible to retrieve (in a log file or somewhere else) the things that I have dictated after mission ends? I can always work on screenshots, but it would be useful to be able to find it later. Thanks! -
Hey guys, I just got the VAICOM PRO with the kneeboard (going to be super useful for mission testing in VR), but I cannot get the dictate function to work. I open the kneeboard, get to "NOTES" tab, but then when I say "start dictate" I get "Recognized: start dictate" message, but nothing happens, ie. there is no change of the DICT OFF status. Any ideas what to do / how to make it work? Thanks!
-
Ugh... OK, I'll make sure it works OK for the next update. Apologies for this, guys!

fixed Mission 13, Case I landing

Thanks. Won't fix it for this update, but will put it on for later! -
fixed Ottoman Courier: Prologue Mission 5 (M5)
baltic_dragon replied to WOPR's topic in Baltic Dragon
There are different ways to change the channels: using the knob going from Ch10 to Ch1, pressing the knob and entering the freq manually or pressing the knob, then channel number and then enter. They all are envisioned, but if you, say, make a mistake in the freq sequence then it may not work (triggers not detected in correct order, with each button press being a different flag fired) - so I'll probably add a SP BAR workaround
