  1. If it is posted on the internet then it HAS to be True! (Geez)
  2. If you have previously damaged your plane with too high of G forces I suspect you could see that kind of roll at ANY speed... (Or were you referring to the post by Turbohog?)
  3. Also what kind of maneuvering were you doing previous? It is possible that you hit very high G numbers and have damaged your plane (wing warping) I read in another thread somewhere that this is modelled with the F-86 and would cause the exact issue you are having... (And I have done it myself and can attest to the fact that if you get silly with the maneuvering you can in fact cause damage that will affect the handling adversely..)
  4. ...And there is the most useless post of the week.. (30 seconds of my life I can't get back) Please TROLL elsewhere... There are adults on this forum that don't want our time wasted with drivel such as you just posted.. Please go away..
  5. And that is all fine and great for your situation.. Depending on the equipment owned, sometimes curve adjustment is very necessary to even fly any of these modules... Case in point is the P-51 and my current equipment.. Without a slight tweak in settings it will go into high speed stall with nearly ANY stick input.. Kinda wrecks the whole experience.. (There are valid reasons that the settings were programmed with adjustability built in..)
  6. Well THAT would have been awesome information to have last night... (That is what happens when you don't read the manual and just jump right in...) We will file that one away for further reference.. Thank you for the clarification..
  7. Please elaborate... (Yes I heard a weird whistle but I have no idea what the Heck it was..) ???
  8. So I was practicing landing in the Sabre last night.. Take off from one airport, fly to the other, land and return to the first one... The approach was looking good, lined her up, reduced speed, brakes on, flaps down, descent nice and gradual... Excellent! Best approach I have ever made.. Pull back on the stick and beautiful flare.. (Pretty pleased with myself right about then) Gently set her down on the pavement with a grin on my face... And all kinds of screeching and sparks and grating noises ensue.. DAMMITT:mad: I forgot to put the landing gear down... Hosed the best approach I have ever performed... <sigh> I will say though that it was smooth enough that there was little to no damage to the plane once it came to rest... I guess I can take some solace in that...:doh:
  9. Based on what I know about this variant.. (and I know VERY LITTLE) it may have something to do with the timeframe that the plane was built.. (early 1942 I believe) Maybe they have reason to want to build a module from 1942 for a specific scenario or theatre that is being created.. ?? Or maybe they have acess to one.. Although I doubt that there are any of these things still in existence but I could be wrong..
  10. Yeah who knows, maybe some new devs will come on board specifically to provide maps... (And of course I am still hoping for a 3rd party to pick up the challenge of a real dynamic campaign for DCS... ) I think there are a lot of possibilities and I believe many devs are sitting back waiting for EDGE to be completed before they stick their toe in the water.. (I know I would wait rather than develop for the current DCS only to have to rework for EDGE..) They can also watch how things go with the current 3rd parties and will be able to learn from their successes.. As well as their mishaps..
  11. I'll fly it for you! C ya!
  12. ...And is willing to spend the next few months translating several hundred technical pages of manual to English.. When you find someone please be sure to let Belsimtek know so we can get past all the complaining about the manual..
  13. OK now THAT was scary...
  14. And get one with as many ports as you can afford as these pit projects tend to GROW. I started with a 12 port hub and only have 2 ports left...
  15. LOL, well yeah that narrowed it down! LOL
  16. Would definitely recommend a powered hub yes... IT is VERY easy to tax the USB or USB2 root hubs so when setting up equipment for a pit so I always go powered... (NON-powered will work for standard use on a machine and you may not have issues, but simming has some particular equipment that require more power..) And for those that are going to chime in with "I haven't had any issues" this may be true, but if you want to make CERTAIN power won't be an issue then buy one that IS powered.. Especially if you are going to specifically buy one for this purpose.. They aren't that much more cost wise... (And if you can't afford the difference between a powered hub and a non powered hub you better find a different hobby!
  17. Fair enough.. :)
  18. That's the spirit! Give 'em an ultimatum! That will get those lazy programmers off their Butts... LOL Let me know when your gear is packed up as I need some more stuff for my pit...
  19. Yeah it has been stated over and over and over, but these folks don't believe anything anyway, so save your breath my friend.. Here we are ONE DAY after the release (And might I add the ON-TIME RELEASE) of the F-86 and already the flood gates are open and the "Where is my F-18? and I'll bet the WW2 planes are holding up the WORLD" statements continue on in earnest.. 1 FRIGGIN DAY after the on-time release of the F-86..
  20. Really had no interest as I prefer helicopters and current technology... But with that being said, I really am enjoying this plane... Very easy to fly and quite forgiving, unlike the P-51 that tries to kill me every time I do anything other than standard turns or straight flight. :O( I have found that if you get stupid with the F-86 and she gets cranky and goes into an uncontrolled spin (and this does happen periodically) just relax the stick and keep medium power and she will right herself.. Then you can take over again and go from there... The only thing I DON'T like (And this may be a bug I don't know) is that every mission requires me to reset my controls.. Usually I can set them once for a module and be good to go, but this thing seems to require it every time I try a different mission type.. Oh well, it IS a BETA, so stuff happens.. All in all very pleasantly surprised and quite pleased with this module.. Once again Belsimtek hits a home run!
  21. WAIT! You mean it was delivered on time just like ED and Belsimtek said it would be? Where are all the naysayers now? Always all KINDS of whining if ED or a dev misses a date, so how about some love for them when they hit the target guys... Thanks Belsimtek.. Another Nice module.. I have already crashed this plane twice already today! (SWEET)
  22. Ahh OK that makes sense.. Thanks for the clarification!
  23. If I understand it correctly, they have to reapply it every time they access any of the panels and since they will have to access those panels to prep the plane for use it makes sense NOT to apply the coating until after the plane is received at it's destination.. (Otherwise you coat it, ship it , strip it off, prep the plane and coat it again... Not much point in that)
  24. You seriously have zero clue what you are talking about... Please just STOP.
  25. People don't seem to understand that ALL of these major airframes have a sorted past... Name any major plane / helicopter and I can guarantee you it has seen it's share of accidents, mishaps, issues etc... It is the nature of the beast.. And when you push the technological envelope you are going to have issues.. Period.. That is kind of the entire point of testing in the first place is to identify the issues and resolve them.. Unfortunately, today absolutely EVERYTHING is in the lens of a camera and we see every tiny issue that in the past wasn't in your face every time you refresh your browser.. The F-35 will continue to have issues (Just like any other plane would) and since it is such a high visibility project and there is so much money involved, it will continue to be beatup in the media...
