No not really, but several thousand posts all complaining about the same things.. Over choices that have already been made by ED.. And already explained by ED... That make absolute perfect business sense for ED... GETS OLD You don't like WW2 planes and have made that abundantly clear. ED isn't going to cancel the project because you want your F-18 yesterday. ED is going to make decisions based on their reasons not yours... Stating your opinion is great.. Railing about it over and over after so many others have exhausted this topic repeatedly is annoying.. :cry:

I currently have DCS running on the AMD 8350 and it runs very well with a GTX770TI... Still, if I were going to build a new one specifically for DCS I would go Intel CORE I5 with that Sabretooth Z97 board.. Yes more money but a LOT more machine for it. Also we don't know how EDGE will affect things so I would go with the most I could get just in case EDGE is hungry and that is OPTION 2.. Just make sure you save enough for a GOOD video card... :thumbup:

Ummm... Clearly you haven't looked at the 2 WW2 threads with like 10,000 posts in them... (Slight exageration but you get the idea.) There is huge interest in the WW2 era... Don't ever mistake your opinion as being everyone's opinion... MANY people want WW2 era planes and scenarios and ED has stated repeatedly that DCS is NOT era or airframe type-specific...

And that folks is a well worded, well stated statement of disappointment / complaint. (Along with the previous posting) I think anyone can understand the point of view and the reasoning... Well done sir! Others would do well to take a good look at this post as this is how it should be done.. No, not OK but a much better outcome than anyone has reason to hope for.. The typical outcome for such a poorly run crowdsourcing fiasco is all money lost and the project disappears forever... Personally, as soon as I saw who was running the project I closed my wallet and walked away... (There are entire forums dedicated to bitching about this guy but that is another story altogether..) And once I saw the crazy entitlements I had to laugh because there was no way they could sustain that... Unfortunately it sucks but the result is about as good a result as could be hoped for.. Welcome to crowdsourcing 101... :cry:

Everybody is a wise guy... :thumbup: Clearly NO, that particular issue does not require ED's assistance, but until EVERY ISSUE/promised feature, is addressed (Including the ones that require ED to resolve) the module can't be "Completed" can it? And that was the point of the original complaint was the completion of the module and the removal of the BETA status.

And as has been stated repeatedly, the omissions are due to pieces that have not been completed by ED so there is no way for Belsimtek to "complete" the module... So based on the fact that Belsimtek cannot work on the incomplete items without ED first finishing THEIR parts, you would rather have Belsimtek sit on their hands and not code anything at all until ED has provided the missing code? Personally, I understand how these projects go and I would be very happy if Belsimtek hasn't been lounging around doing nothing while waiting on ED.. I surely HOPE that Belsimtek has completed a LOT of the work on the Cobra..

I think many folks should take a hard look at themselves and maybe change how they view the whole DCS sim hobby in general... Clearly many folks are heavily invested in these modules and are killing themselves by following every step of the process... And when that process stumbles.. (some more than others) it is difficult to stay motivated/interested... Maybe some folks need to not follow every step and just buy modules the way we used to before the advent of the Internet and forums.. Waiting until a module is released and buy the completed product at that time based on it's merits... The wait times will be the same as a module takes however long it takes to program, but the constant drama / pain of the "process" will not be endured.. And please don't misunderstand this post as an indictment of anyone as that is not the case.. I am simply saying that some folks may take these things a bit more seriously than maybe they should.. Those folks might want to change how they view these projects.. If for no other reason than their own stress level / Health!

I only pointed out the other threads as they are perfect examples of communicaions gone wrong. And the epic pain caused by it. This was provided as an explanation as to why you aren't getting the information you want... And as for your last line.. You have no RIGHT to anything on a public forum so save the entitlement attitude for someplace else..

Yeah go ahead and read the 10,000 pages of questions, complaints etc. regarding the WW2 module and you will quickly see why "I just want some communication" is a scorched earth situation... The Devs have communicated enough so that we all know the project is out there and pending and they aren't saying anything further until they have something concrete to say... Just look at the other threads where a DEV or even ED themselves have "Just sent out a quick communication" and received a firestorm of questions and or complaints etc... If reading those threads doesn't make it painfully clear why the lack of communication then folks just don't get it and no amount of convincing will change that...

Belsimtek have learned well NOT to state anything until they have something concrete to show... This forum crucifies DEVS if a date is missed or a rivet is missing.. I wouldn't expect to hear much of anything on this until the announcement that the beta is ready... (And if I were a DEV I would follow that same example and communicate nothing until pretty much ready to release.) If you want to disagree with that view please be sure to check out some of the other threads where a cockpit is shown with the statement WIP and there are 30 following threads about the textures being worng and the systems having the wrong color.. or font .. or whatever... (Folks don't seem to get the concept of Work In Progress) Ridiculous..

Maybe Sith's bloody avatar should be used as the pilot face on one of the WW2 planes... :thumbup:
